  1. Hmmm ... reminds me of visit to Doctor... No not flash cards, :o , I was staring at it on wall for usual long time waiting to see Doc. What did i see ? Sorry, can't say here.
  2. I know my 188 is not even close. I'm just too lazy to research. Post your best round score if higher. I suspect they may be harder after patch as mine and others were done before patch. Would be interesting to see here since bf2 clan tracker page doesn't show these. Then we all know what to try and "shoot" for sometimes.

Y'all pretty well covered this topic. Sometimes not so pretty in game. Like real war games. If only war was just games to decide things. This came up often in FA. Concerns that if lots of reins and only base to spawn, is it good-gaming to wait and kill spawners. Realistically, if a team fails to have proper base perimiter defense and ground or air spec ops to atleast harass their base radar and arty, maybe they deserve the fast death. Gamewise, as long as teams are even, I think maybe anything goes. Because their are ways to spot enemies, choose accordingly what may work best, etc. If you have to dig in and try to pick them off, bad for you and good for them. Again, if teams have been balanced number wise, then the smarter team rules rightfully, I think ? I only feel "cheated" when I see they have like 4 more players on their side and plenty of reins both sides.
  4. Hi Doc. I suspect the Shaw High Speed Internet you, me, Klink, TigerHawk use here in this city, doesn't connect as close to main t3 pipe to server as others are. Just a guess. I do know I saw a map of shaw cable internet lines that showed big line from Toronto heading south as well as big line from Calgary heading south. We are in middle of those on smaller showing branch lines. 900 miles to TO and 2000 miles to Calgary. So maybe others that go thru less "routing" explains our occaisional lag with TAC server that may be closer for most others not living up here. But I dunno for sure. Maybe fast dsl better for us if it means less sideways "branching" for us up here ?

I have finally decided as others have suggested in other thread, that the =TAC= looks better then <TAC>. But they have also now decided it to be =A= if I understand correctly. But it doesn't clearly represent "The Armory... Clan". It's cool to this Canadian though, "A" , LOL. I think they needed to shorten it. I dunno if =TA= would be short enough ? Atleast more identifiable with us ?
  6. On a positive note Tiger. Somehow, maybe your "frustration" cleared your shutdown-power off prob ? I dunno. But I don't recommend it. :o

Makes me laugh at seeing my name used so much. As to this FA addict not posting here til now, I figured I'd said enough already :o
  8. feedback can take days sometimes.
  9. Well, I was a little uneasy about that 3rd one. BTD means well. That 3rd one maybe is a bit questionable. On the other hand it's how you take it. I took it as a reminder of proper gun safety training which Hunters and Soldiers and Police get. That one "blew me away" because obviously one should be sure it's empty first. Furthermore, one should never "point it" unless they intend to use it.

sorry to hear that. so far 99% of people been okay. mine was fine. tiger had to remove and reinsert bf2.exe for firewall allow list. could your hard drive be badly fragmented, causing the files of your account info to get messed up ? anyone know of such a file ? maybe try creating new accout, if that works, i think your original acct data file got messed.
  11. Well, I wasn't complaining about using it to climb long point rank ladder asap. But it did seem a little generous to Commander. It's been "Nixed"
  12. "Hay thanks" Now where's my horse.
  13. I think it's fine. Harder for Commanders to get those really high winning round scores, but still helps team and gets points if not kills registered from arty. Not having to wait very long time for next unlock for those of us that can't play all the time, seems more incentive to me. Spec Ops taking out enemy commander toys of uav trailor, radar scanner, arty ... now getting well earned points gives me more incentive to keep doing that to try to help team.
  14. Thanks for trying to share laughs with us. I "got some".

If you don't join an already created squad, preferring to lone-wolf it a bit, atleast create your own squad so you can request supplies (more ammo and health box) from commander in a safe easy air drop place. The creator of squad is squad leader who ca nrequest stuff from commander like arty, etc.

figured out tiger's prob... my firewall software is set like hers to popup warnings ontop of all other windows, be sure yours is. if not possible, try alt-tab to look for pop-ups in background tasks. she had given permission to firewall pop-up to allow bf2.exe net access ALWAYS, as i did. weird thing worth noting is she after she got the server error message from bf2 trying to login with account, she closed game and saw no pop-up but firewall task bar icon flashing. clicking it for details revealed default block of trojan attempt. i entered her firewall internet program enabled list. found 3 referances to bf2.exe that said enabled. i removed each. then added the bf2.exe. set it for permit, general, automatic. she now logged in no probs. something seems to have tried to enter her address thru bf2 account login attempt. this automatically disables that internet address for 30 minutes. maybe i cleared that by removing and re-adding the bf2.exe to permit list. she playing now. as will i. hope this helps you and others. ps. disabling antivirus will speed up entering server and loading map if you impatient. but i used "renderer.drawfps 1" in bf2 console to see fps and saw no more fps with antivirus off. cheers

Sorry to hear that. Numerous possibilities ... 1-firewall software popping up underneath asking to allow game conect permission ? 2-restart pc after done installing 3-restart pc after done patching I'm about to try patch install so we repost. tiger just did. she got firewall popup. gave permission. but can't connect . gets message "server has refused connection". i'll look in minute.
  18. tanks, they'll be looked at
  19. "I'll be back".
  20. "It's not the looks that should matter, it's the action."
  21. I suggest go with what you like. Can't please everyone.

    "Pistol whipped",
  23. Thanks but no thanks.
  24. Look for 64 plyr servers with around 20 players with playable ping. Remember, servers available list often shows much higher ping then actual. Use arrow key to scroll list a bit and ping will refresh. And often when I go in the server my ping is still much lower then that even. What's nice is the maps last so long. As well as giving you more time for more points and awards.
  25. Cool. Could this leading to BF2 style, gettign different medals, ribbins, badges for various things ?
