Nice reporting work Klink. I was northbound with bus at Harbourview/Junot at time. Heard John st bus driver call in on cb, "pilot parachute and plane crash site plume of smoke" directly ahead of him. I saw "puffing smoke" 1 mile away and circling wingman diving puffing smoke to direct emergency people. Awesome how pilot lost engine power half way between crash site and harbor making quick choice to not take harbor ditch route with lots of boats out waiting for harbor arial show, instead heading to nearby forest area, risking as few lives as possible. Staying with it til aprox 500 feet altitude, risky to himself of more time/distance/risk of explosion to be sure it would as likely as possible avoid roads/buildings/people. Trusting to quick response forest fire response. Witnesses said they saw it just before it veered away from harbor to country, do belly up, full throttle noise(this was just before air show full power inverted test of systems under stress which turned up a problem with engine), flames from exhaust, then smoke, then belly down and head to country at altitude of about 3,000 feet, quickly dropping. Amazing to me that without power he managed to move it about 2 miles to 500 feet before having to eject and let it drop at edge of country backyard and large forest area. I'm soooo glad it wasn't on my often used during game play "outhouse" Ofcourse they check every inch in preflight inspections as well as mechanics going thru it all prior. But some things like this inverted full power app can't be predicted til tested which they did just before show. These jets date from late 1960's. But have been kept up ofcourse with new parts. In my opinion, Air Shows put pilots at great risk. Risk that in my opinion should not be done. Putting one's life on the line to defend human rights somewhere is admirable. But for public entertainment ? That is atleast where i would draw the line, sorry. Reminds me of good movie called "Always" that has humor, action, fire bombing, great drama. Check it out.

Cool. Maybe we'll "bump into each other" in the dark of those maps. I'm slowly reinstalling all my older games that were in win98se, to winxp, so I have alternatives when I feel bored of current faves.

I was disappointed i couldn't get it's video working in winxp til i found the following thread. Donloaded avp file replacement and updated nvidia drivers to 77.77 and got it working good. Be advised : Either the recent winxp updates or the nvidia video driver update now causes my FA and CSS to lockup even left on server list for few minutes, if left set in options for opengl. doesn't matter if 16 or 32 bit. switching to video mode D3D 16 bit works fine for me. 32 bit says not supported. only prob is i can't see my sprays in d3d, but i hear them go up so i think others see them.

I may have y'all beat from that one sided map rarely seen for long time called "Paradise", where you capture ammo from apc and take back to big shore/cliff guns. Getting mega kill points each time. Remember somethign around 130 kills, 30 deaths. Was cool to see what having all skill options is like.

Well ... what version is it ? Home, Pro ? XP Pro Corporate edition allows multiple users on that business license. If it's a case of getting a used xp cd from someone no longer using that operating system, the cdkey may be accepted but becasue still in records, you'll only get updates as far as SP2. The next 3 after that contain an update regarding something more of validating. Maybe if that 1 of the 3 can be refused, you might get more updates past that. I dunno for sure. Just use your own other firewall/antirus and anti-spy/adware software. Free stuff available on net for that.

Well, I felt less like playing "same old same old" maps and routines without something new to work on like improving k/d or whatever.

Use "Spybot" to find and clean out stuff. Also set "advanced" view so you can see system startup list. But ignore detials on right of startup items that say virus. These warnings always turned out wrong when I investigated. Also get "Spyblaster".

If I understand your wording correctly ... 1- Yes, our HLSW runs good. Latest version you posted download for in one pc and previous version in other pc for now. OOPS, EDIT : As test I just ran installer overtop previous version REMAINING FOLDER AND FEW FILES AFTER UNINSTALLING V43 AND REBBOTING. All's fine with previous server and gid AND RCON PASS still there. 2-Are you saying your hlsw is not running anymore ? 3-Yes. Have internet not connected when you reformat hd and install winxp. Install other Firewall/antivirus software. Connect net and get all other security software updates. Then update winxp. 4-One would have to risk net for that hotfix file unless they could get it through other protected system and copied to floppy or cd. Thanks.

Our 2 identical pc systems same as details at top, that according to BF2 minimum requirements are not okay, actually run it fine.
