WOOT! Psyched about this, for sure!

The Rumbler Police Siren
Well, as cool as Futureweapons can be, it's also been known to lie, or give half-truths. In the case of Dragonskin, for example, the grenade test was an obvious fail, but they treated it like it wasn't. With the HK416 or whatever, they didn't submerge the weapon underwater all the way, nor did they put it in sand with the dust cover open. Regardless, it is pretty interesting technology, I just think there are safer ways to end a chase.

Touche', first of all. I'm mainly bringing up things for discussion, because this kind of thing is interesting to me. Now to address the part I've quoted. As you and I both know, there are plenty of accidents with officers on the side of the road, and that's pretty much OFF the road. The way I see it, it'd be much more risky to have them in the middle of the road. Perhaps I'm being naive.

WOW Servers
Meh. If my connection supported anything besides WoW, I'd be playing other stuff. It seems like every time I get into CS, Zombie Panic, COD4, etc. my ping spikes to 2000 and stays there.

The Rumbler Police Siren
As vehicles rely more and more on electronics, such a device is POTENTIALLY dangerous. Is letting a car coast to a stop any safer than the precision immobilisation technique? Does the EMP effect other vehicles nearby? Is having a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road safe at all? And what happens when they don't hit a wall, but hit a pedestrian instead? Better to just track the vehicle as was linked in another thread and just let them think they've gotten away. It's much safer than disabling the vehicle in any way, shape, or form. __________________ Back on topic, I actually am really curious to see if they use these here, because I'm interested in seeing what it feels like (though I don't care to do anything illegal to find out ).

Hehe. It's illegal now here in Kansas to talk on your cell phone while driving.

The Rumbler Police Siren
It is unfortunate, Joe, that vehicles do not stop instantly. Beyond that, what all becomes inoperational? There's a distinct risk of having the brakes fail with such a device and I think a criminal who can't control his vehicle is much more dangerous than a criminal that can.

Also potentially dangerous...

WOW Servers
Emerald Dream Ismir - 60 Human Mage (GM gear). Ismyr - 48 Human Rogue. Twisting Nether Ismir - 70 Blood Elf Mage. You're welcome to roll on either server, though I haven't been on TN for a long time. With all that being said, if you do roll there, please respect the RP rulesets. If you don't RP, or don't plan to learn how, then another server would be better for you. ^^

I really feel like R6 has sold out. =[

Get Ready for huge clouds of ash and weather chang
There are various predictions on just how severe the eruption would be. Most say that if it goes, the death count will be easily in the millions as a result of the earthquakes only, excluding the ashfall. The explosion itself would cause major catastrophe within one thousand kilometres, and the ashfall would cover most of our crops, causing very serious food shortages. You can read about the Caldera here. http://pubs.usgs.gov/fs/2005/3024/ Bottom line is that the ashfall will go as far west as the Pacific coast (from Washington to Calfornia) to the Midwest (from Minnesota to Texas). That's completely unhealthy to breathe, first off, and a nuclear winter would easily wreak havoc on crops, livestock, etc. Granted, the whole world would feel the effects of the nuclear winter, they would not come near to the catastrophe we would here. On the plus side, it's not showing signs of erupting any time too soon.

And half of America dies as well. =/

The $2,500 Car: An Environmental Nightmare?
After a while, Underspy, you get used to it. My current truck (which is a '92 Chevy S10) doesn't have AC, but I manage. Going 50 and having that much wind cools you down, even if it's hot out.

Golden Weapons!
It's not too hard to get 'em. Just always aim for the head (I, by the way, am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad I don't have to do that anymore. It really hurt my KDR to only aim for the head.) It takes a bit of dedication, but I think it's worth it. I wish I was that talented. ^^; Thank you kindly. Hope you can pick which one to go after (or all of 'em!) after actually seeing them. ^^

Best Si-Fi past 25 years.
Roughnecks! I watched that EVERY MORNING when I'd go to school. Honestly, it is entirely possible I've seen every episode, like, thrice. Starship Troopers is probably my favourite "shoot 'em up", and I must have seen it at least over 9000 times. Starship Troopers II was terrible, sadly, but there is supposedly another one in the works that will be a TRUE successor. Let's hope. (P.S. Star Trek: TNG is where it's at.)

Best Si-Fi past 25 years.
This list makes me sad. No Independence Day? No Men In Black? Let's be serious here, those are way better than Lost or some of the other honky they put on the list.

What do you bring with you when you knife?
Though I don't play this game, I can assure you I'd bring camo. I'm the sneaky-sneaky type. >=)

Golden Weapons!
I think it's -really- lame that they don't let you pick what weapons go golden, and that after all that time and effort, it's merely aesthetic. I can understand it's for balance or whatever, but I guess I'd like it if the golden guns were a little different instead of looks only.

Changes to the Hardcore
I dislike KillCam because if you're in a good position, people can basically track you via your KillCam surroundings. If you're sniping, you can counter this by staying scoped or quickly looking at the ground for 2 seconds, but bother are a problem. With that being said, I prefer having KillCam on.

Golden Weapons!
Hm, that never really crossed my mind. I always thought of Midas, not Flavor Flav. Intriguing!

Golden Weapons!
Hehe. Thanks. It took a while, but... eh... I think it was worth it. They look pretty, don't they? =3

I know it'll only last a few moments
You can do it! =O

I know it'll only last a few moments
Congrats! And make that 63... >=]

Golden Weapons!
So, you've been wondering what the ever-sought-after golden weapons look like, but don't want to spend the time shooting all those n00bs in the face with guns you hate to get 'em, eh? Well, I went ahead and took the time to get 'em, and just thought I'd post the pictures of what they all look like, in case anyone was curious and hadn't seen a certain one. I apologise in advance for the poor quality. My computer starts to dry heave once I beef up the graphics. Just thought I'd share. My personal favourite is the AK. I think it looks the sleekest. ^^ Enjoy! P.S. Once this deal with my ISP gets sorted out completely, I'm gonna be gaming on COD4 non-stop for a while. :|

Crysis takes $1800 for "very high" setting
I've seen similar discussions many times. I kind of side with the group that says this is a very, very, very good thing. Think a moment about the different options. We have a console which cannot be upgraded until the next console upgrade, so all games made for that console are limited by that console's performance. We have games that are made for the PC, but can be run at all max settings by most every computer. Lastly, we have games that are very demanding on your system, and will take a bit for technology to catch up. It is the final option that makes PC gaming what PC gaming is. Games SHOULD be ahead of their technology. That's what sets PC apart from consoles. A console will have a heart attack if it tried to run Crysis, but PCs can run it! How long until consoles catch up to be able to run Crysis? For computers, it's just around the bend to run it on for a reasonable price, but I know for certain that consoles aren't anywhere near it. I, for one, support more releases like this, where we must wait for technology to catch up. Just my $0,02.
