Activision just passed EA this year as the largest third party publisher, and blizzard has only released what, twelve games ever? I don't think this is as massive a deal as everyone makes it out to be.

Well I can guarantee the majority of people don't like playing on empty servers with two other (=A=) players. I've never seen any of our servers full.... ever. Not once in weeks. Obviously something needs to be done or we'll continue sitting around playing with five and six man servers

I played on one of those 30 minute team deathmatch servers and all that does is promote nade spam, stacked teams and a boring time. You get backed into a corner, slaughtered, then spawn behind the other team then backed into a different corner and slaughtered again. The other team had constant air strikes and helicopters and I think to myself, "wait a minute, this isn't fun" then leave. And every time the "teams being autobalanced" pops up I just laugh to myself and continue to get mowed down right after I spawn. If the timelimit is reduced to say ten minutes then the teams get shuffled more often and there is less of a chance of getting destroyed. Thirty minutes of air strikes, helicopters and spawncamping is not fun in the least. And before anyone tells me you can't camp in TDM, well yes, yes you can. And Biscuit was on the other team when my guys were spawning and walking around the corner only to meet five guys waiting to mow us down. If that isn't spawn camping I don't know what is.

I just played in the hardcore server for two hours during prime time and there were maybe three pub people that whole time.

Any reasonable person traveling overseas should known that was a bad idea. If she was going overseas to learn and teach she should have taken more time to learn local customs and laws, and perhaps had at least a cursory understanding of how seriously they take Islam and its practices. That being said she doesn't deserve to be "publicly lashed". But its their law not mine.

Alternative schools aren't for "retarded" children, in most districts they're more of a last chance for students with behavioral and discipline problems. At least his parents cared enough to keep an eye out for him. How many messed up kids just get ignored by their parents? We should hope more parents would keep a their idiotic kids in line.

So whats the map cycle look like?

I like team deathmatch as a break in pace. If we have 32 players set the ticket limit 2000. I played on a server with 32 people and that limit and it was pretty intense, with fewer players it might take a while longer to end the match so its a toss up, maybe 1500. Most people play the game like its TD anyway, I notice on most domination maps most people ignore the points and just go for kills.

The masses like Ipods, mothers fall into the masses camp. Odds are the average mother doesn't even know what a zune is.

Everyone loves Ipods.

The EU assault rifle is the Scar 11 not the Lambert, the best buy unlock is a reskinned Scar 11. This is why they both got changed, because they made the Scar 11 better.

This is one of my favorite things about hardcore. I can use the M14 or G3 and have a good time. On regular servers its full auto or nothing unless you want to get slaughtered every time you walk around a corner and someone unloads their AK or M16. Not to mention the fact that sniper rifles actually serve a purpose in hardcore, in regular mode the snipers are the guys with 4 kills and 20 deaths; in hardcore you can mow people down, if you're aim is any good.

Uninstalled this on November 6th. Just BF2 and COD4 for me.

Dump that one map that takes place on the tanker, its always a cluster. For the mixed server I'd like to see some S&D, Domination and Headquarters.

Bloc is one of the few good sniper maps.

Since when does Insurgency have a patent on realistic bullet damage? Counter strike anyone? OMG they have Marines going against Insurgents in an urban middle eastern environment, what a rip, no one ever did that before Insurgency five months ago.

Hardcore is golden, I vote for keeping at least one server set to it.

Well I stopped playing 2142 because the "strategy" on maps boils down to this. Cerebere, defenders kill everything you see, don't let a car past. If they do get the top point and hold it you lose. Attackers try to sneak past or force your way through with numbers. Gibraltar, defenders kill everything you see, don't let a car past. If they do get the back point and hold it you lose. Attackers try to sneak past or force your way through with numbers. Tunis, run around killing each other, stay with a group, sneak past the other team with a car to cap them from behind, avoid the mech. Belgrade, cap the hill, keep the mech in your control, victory. Titan, cap silos, smash into the other team over and over, play musical chairs with the silos as you chase each other around. Once the shield is down you smash into each other on the titan and wait for the missiles to win it for you. Half the time your team doesn't care about the silos and just want points for defending or attacking the titan, this usually leaves one or two people attacking silos after the shields are down. If you can't get the quick win prepare for thirty minutes of silo hopping. If the other teams locks down all the vehicles on the ground prepare to be slaughtered. Rinse, repeat. Voss, rockets, grenade spam. Every game plays out that way. 30% of the time you're on a good team, 30% of the time you're on a bad team, 40% of the time the teams are fairly well balanced. That 60% of the time when the teams are uneven you either get bored and feel bad because you win in ten minutes and crush the other guys, or you're on a team so incompetent that you get rolled and spawn camped when your team gets stuck at their base. Then your install just randomly craps out and the game has to be reinstalled three times in as many months. Forcing you to reset all your settings and waste half an hour reinstalling everything in just the right order lest you have to start over again because god forbid you install one patch before northern strike and not after, a fact EA fails to mention ANYWHERE. Right now I can't even play, tried yesterday because I wanted to help start city maps and my game won't boot AGAIN. I'm not even going to bother trying to fix it. It did that same thing a month ago when we had the clan match and it took 45 minutes to fix. The only way this game would be fun again is if I were to play on the smaller map configurations with less than 24 people. There is a configuration of Tunis that plays on parts of the map you never can get to otherwise and its pretty fun, but I'd never played it before because every server uses the large maps. COD4 is battlefield boiled down to the essence that made 2142 fun for me in the first place with none of EAs crap and a fast pace that 2142 can often lack. I like 16 man servers the best because with too many guys the game just gets too hectic. Unfortunately there aren't many out there and I feel ours is just too big right now. 24 is a always a cluster and not much fun. Search and destroy is basically counterstrike, which I know some people don't enjoy, but I do, so I like it. Domination is flag capturing just like BF. HQ is fun because there is nothing more exciting than defending a point with only one live to lose and an endless horde of bad guys bearing down on you. Team death match is fun when you don't want to worry about points and defense and all that nonsense. Free for all is god awful and frustrating. If someone is camping and keeps killing you, go around him, every map provides two ways to any one point. Learn the maps, don't keep running straight at the person. If the pace is too hectic, play on a smaller server. If there is no team play, play headquarters, search and destroy, or domination and use in game VOIP, not just vent. I enjoy COD4 because it is something new to learn and get better at. 2142 is that same gameplay from BF2 so I already know all the tricks and can pretty much be assured of a 2:1+ kill to death ratio every round, and that gets old.

I called my gamestop and they said they won't get any until the 7th, target told me the same thing and best buy just said it doesn't come out until tomorrow. Walmart left me on hold for ten minutes before I hung up. :thumbsup:

Walmart has nothing as far as I can tell, only the PS3 one is advertised. Gamestop has nothing. If it does come out on steam it will be sometime after the release date. Haven't seen it officially announced yet and if it were going to make the release date they would've announced it sooner than one day before release.

The only thing I'm worried about is the Colbert Report and the Daily Show. :thumbsup:
