  3. Call and ask to talk to a supervisor, and yell a lot, that usually works for me. I once had to go up two levels of supervisors with ticketmaster to get my problem sorted. Do you use comcast out there, or someone else?

  7. Here is the Navy's response. ?It is not DoD?s policy, nor do we have the legal authority, to request or demand the degrading of commercial imagery (aerial or satellite) hosted on Google Earth and Microsoft Virtual Earth,? he said in an e-mail. ?DoD is not in the business of censoring information in the public domain.?

  9. So apparently they drape these things when in dry dock because their design is so secret. But that didn't stop a satellite from taking a picture of it and putting it on the web. http://www.monstermaritime.com/07022007/the-amazing-things-that-you-can-find-on-the-internet-2/ Looks pretty cool, not what you'd expect.

  16. Bioshock anyone?
  17. Okay, this is what this link was referring to, full trailer posted now. http://www.bringerofsilentdeath.com/

http://kotaku.com/gaming/hi_tech-pigskin/naturalmotion-tackles-football-with-backbreaker-292466.php?autoplay=true A company that makes animation systems for next gen games recently applied their know-how to a football demo with tackle animations that are dynamically generated. Watch the video in the link, it is amazing how realistically the players react to one another. All the canned tackles in Madden really take you out of the experience, seeing the same five tackle animations makes the game look mechanical and fake. Just imagine this same type of system as applied to an FPS, it would be a vast improvement over the creepy ragdoll physics used now. Hell, even Bioshock has some awful ragdoll physics that take you out of the experience when character models twitch unnaturally if stuck on an object or keep twitching even if dead. Player models could react based on where they're shot rather than just collapsing as they do now. I can't wait.
  19. There is that one Creative mouse that is 2500dpi or something. Don't think we'll see much higher than that for a while. Is there really a need? What more can you do with a mouse?
  20. Hopefully if they do it'll be a full expansion ala special forces. I want to play as an American against the South American Coalition or something. Maps in Mexico City and Cuba or something would be slick. But wasn't the studio that produced Special Forces closed by EA? If I recall it wasn't made by Dice but was outsourced and seeing as how Dice are busy with their new game I doubt they have enough resources to do it themselves, they can't even get a patch out that has been in beta for months.
  21. My mouse is always at 2000dpi, your statement is false, RETRACT IT IMMEDIATELY! I only switch it to 400dpi for gunning in the gunship, makes the missiles buttery smooth. /monthly_06_2011/post-2058-13081020062_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-2058-130810221568_thumb.jpg
  22. I wonder if this is what this weird link razer sent me recently was all about. Given that the microsoft Habu mouse is basically a repackaging of a Razer product, maybe this will show up from razer at some point in the future. ... and its called the sidewinder, that kind of gives it away. http://www.bringerofsilentdeath.com/
  23. Unless you've got a good surround set up you should play with headphones, the sound design is phenomenal and creepy as hell.
  24. Despite what the internet tells you, wrapping your 360 in plastic and submerging it in water does not keep it cooler.:twitcy: http://kotaku.com/gaming/just-add-water/boy-fries-himself-with-hot-hot-xbox-360-291988.php Fortunately he survived, maybe he learned a thing or two in the process.
  25. Wow, runs great on my PC so I'm downloading on steam after only playing the demo for twenty minutes. I'm sold.
