Another big one has come in recently, revealing some additional details on the upcoming first-person shooter by DICE. The new details have come through YouTuber Drakesden, who has been vouched for by Battlefield 1 leaker AmightyDaq. I am thinking I'm going to get it. I'm going to wait until closer to launch for a final decision but I'm very interested

‘Far Cry 5’ Has PvP, and Here’s How It Plays
Yeah with lack of a big First person shooter, this to me looks best. No one seems to remember how to make a 64 player game that is fun to play anymore. IT actually reminds me of the days between BF2142 and BF3 when there really was not a lot to choose from that was good at least. ^v 6v6 should be fun.

Ubisoft Is Making The Division 2 (And Adding Updates To The First Division) KOTAKU.COM It was a no-brainer given the first game’s success, but Ubisoft is making it official today with the announcement that it is making The Division 2, a sequel to 2016's hit cover-based shooter.

Yes we have. It seems they want to get rid of dedicated servers and scale games down. If this info is true, I think I am going to now get far cry 5. 6v6 matches.

‘Far Cry 5’ Has PvP, and Here’s How It Plays
‘Far Cry 5’ Has PvP, and Here’s How It Plays FANDOM.WIKIA.COM Included in 'Far Cry 5' is the Arcade mode, which not only allows for creative custom games, but the series return of competitive PvP. Here's how it plays. ‘Far Cry 5’ Has PvP, and Here’s How It Plays NachosJustice 1d Xbox PlayStation Xbox PlayStation PC Gaming Games The rumours are true! Far Cry 5 marks the return of player-versus-player (PvP) to the Far Cry series, a feature that’s been absent since 2012’s Far Cry 3. It’s not all good news, but neither is it all bad. The thing is, we were only able to play a single round of PvP at a recent preview event. Assumedly, this was intended as a tease, but it felt more like Ubisoft Montreal wasn’t particularly happy with what we were playing. If this is the case, it’s understandable given the lacklustre feel of Far Cry 5’s PvP when stacked next to the immersive sandbox, which is great when played alone and even better when experienced cooperatively. Let’s shift tracks to the cons train. The single-round, single-map affair was played on something that felt a lot like it was ripped out of Far Cry 3. There was a beach setting, which contrasted to the sprawling greenery of Far Cry 5’s otherwise Montana setting. There was also the incredibly generic nature of the team-based PvP mode. Basically, it was two teams of six fighting for nothing more than frags on what amounts to a small map with very little that was memorable. You start with a handful of loadout choices, then you run into the fray. Die. Respawn. Repeat. This particular PvP mode had an interesting approach to time to kill (TTK), wherein any shot below the neck is quite spongey, with three health bars that have to be depleted to score a frag. Conversely, headshots kill in a single shot, regardless of the weapon. It’s an interesting approach to lethality that’s clearly friendlier to console players than it is to the easier headshotting of a more accurate mouse on PC. Even on console, you’re better off spraying high and gunning for a headshot, rather than chipping away at the noticeably higher TTK torso health. Because of this — even though there are weapon drops scattered around the map (à la old-school shooters) — you’re better off sticking to the weapons you start with. To keep things from feeling completely generic, Ubisoft Montreal had thrown a couple of x-factors into the map. First, vehicles. These felt incredibly overpowered and out of place on the smaller map, whether main-streeting them for a Carmageddon approach to driving or parking on a choke point and waving down enemies as they pour out of their apparently fixed spawn point. Yetis are renowned for their pig-tossing... right? The second curve ball was the addition of environmental animals. The fauna felt like more of a missed opportunity than anything else, given they only seemed to be aggroed by shooting them, instead of them paying attention to you when you’re in close proximity. What could have been an emergent environmental threat, instead, felt like just another part of the scenery or a squishy form of cover. All of the above might read as detrimental to Far Cry 5’s PvP mode, but there’s honestly still plenty of potential. Far Cry 5’s PvP is part of an Inception-like mode within a mode called ‘Far Cry Arcade.’ This mode is accessible from the main menu or, according to the devs I talked to, can be played on any of the arcade machines that are scattered around the core Hope County game world. You’ll reportedly find them in certain garages and bars. One of the perks of playing Far Cry Arcade in PvP is it’s one of the only ways to indirectly enjoy the fruits of your player-customisation labour. What initially starts out in the campaign as a choice of sex and skin colour — with initially limited access to clothing customisations across upper body, lower body, headwear, and handwear — becomes more focused on those latter four categories as you unlock additional items. A tease of what you (yes, you!) can build in Far Cry Arcade. Still, I took pleasure in knowing that my victims were forced to contend with my Trailer Park Champion™, complete with camo pants, American-flag singlet, and a raging mullet that was definitely more party out back than business in the front. I also found a mask that was basically the low-cost cosplay equivalent of Russell Crowe’s face-covering helmet in Gladiator. Granted, that was more terrifying to my co-op partner who had my hideous face thrust into full view whenever I revived him. But I digress. The real potential of Far Cry Arcade’s PvP mode is more in the hands of the community. Far Cry Arcade is a fancy overarching name for the welcome return of the popular map editor, which was strangely absent from Far Cry Primal. With these in-game tools, players can build their own solo maps, co-op missions, and PvP modes. Aside from having access to Far Cry 5 assets, Ubisoft Montreal says it’s also adding Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs assets to the mix for even greater creation potential. The Force is strong with this bizarro-world Far Cry Arcade mission. Speaking of creations, I got to test drive two simple scenarios that had been created internally at Ubisoft Montreal. The first was called Upside Down and amounted to a simple find-the-exit mission (called “Journey” in Far Cry Arcade) through a twisted house of creepiness. It wasn’t particularly challenging nor memorable, but it acted as a basic proof of concept for the kind of non-Far Cry experiences that players can forge in Far Cry Arcade. Similarly, the second mission was a short ‘kill the VIP’ scenario called Bounty Hunt set on a map called Terminal Station. It’s so-so if you play it properly, but if you game it, like I did on my first attempt, it’s laughably easy. Even if you opt for the throwing knife loadout (called “Screwed”) over the ballistic options of the so-called Triple-0 Seven loadout. The real test, of course, is when Far Cry Arcade is in the hands of the creative Far Cry community. While core online mechanics like tick rate and connection type (P2P vs dedicated servers) can’t change, what I’ve played of Far Cry Arcade at least proves that dedicated players can create something a whole lot less derivative and, hopefully, a whole lot more interesting.

Axlerod Gets 4 Mortar Kills...
Well the second squad of Covan, Chromey, and Rhino needed a 4th tonight. It could have been you. Me, Kurinar, Sharps, and rebel have been playing together for a few months now. Never once have we heard you ever ask to play with any of us. Have fun with the guitar.

Axlerod Gets 4 Mortar Kills...
All you have to do is mortor the tops of the buildings. They will go down to the second floor so placement is very important. Mortor about the middle of the staircase about 3 steps down from the top and it will kill everyone on top of the building and the floor below. All kills were below a floor. Shame of this is, I did not get credit for throwing a grenade and setting off their mines and taking to more out in that round. Really I went 8 and 1.

Metacritic’s Publisher Rankings Push EA Off The Charts Completely
Page Not Found - SegmentNext SEGMENTNEXT.COM Metacritic’s Publisher Rankings Push EA Off The Charts Completely By Osama Niazi / 8 hours ago Last year’s 7th Annual Metacritic’s Publisher Rankings placed Electronic Arts on top with an average meta-score of 79.9 although this year the meta-score fell so low that EA fell off the charts completely. Yes, the 8th Annual Metacritic’s Publisher Ranking recently came out and according to the Metascore, the 35-year-old company EA has plunged completely. Electronic Arts position has been taken over by Bethesda Softworks placing it on top followed by Nintendo, Sega, Activision Blizzard, Capcom ranking at 5th, followed by Ubisoft, Sony, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo Games, NIS America and Telltale Game. They have dropped to the Ranking of Mid-Sized publishers and even there it does not top. EA ranks 5th in the Mid-Sized Publishers and this too is a significant drop. According to Metacritic, EA normally lands on the major publisher list but due to a decrease in the release slate in 2017 the publisher, EA went through demotion, a significant one. EA’s Metascore fell from an Average 79% to 48% in just one year. Among some of the disappoints of the company’s releases include Need for Speed Payback and Star Wars Battlefront 2. The only best game of EA in 2017 has been FIFA 18 which alone was not enough to bring the publisher on top of the charts. When EA was on top , games like Titanfall 2 (PS4) was the best overall release and Unravel (PC) was the best new IP at that time. With that said most of the Gaming community concludes that this significant fall in the rankings is because of EA’s focus is set on printing money rather than introducing something new, good and reliable for the audience. Many are also saying that EA still is focused on introducing more and more loot boxes in their games and that is the reason EA ranked so low. If they keep this up EA may be seeing some serious troubles in the near future unless they reignite the fire that they once had with their old titles like Bad Company games, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Black, and more.

Intel Drop: Ghost War Connectivity and Matchmaking
Intel Drop: Ghost War Connectivity and Matchmaking When creating our online infrastructure, the development team’s focus has been on ensuring stable and resilient connectivity. Since its launch, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands has been up 99.26% of the time, with rare downtime that was mostly due to patch maintenance. The team is aiming for the same stability for Ghost War, the upcoming free update for Ghost Recon Wildlands. The Ghost War Open Beta, which takes place September 21–25, is an opportunity for us to test our online infrastructure as well as our matchmaking system. Players have asked us about connectivity and matchmaking, so we want to shed some light on how those two work for Ghost War. Network Model and Connectivity Just like campaign mode, Ghost War’s networking model is based on peer-to-peer networking. In order to improve connectivity, we have decided to back up our networking model with relay servers. These relay servers route packets between players who cannot connect directly to each other, essentially eliminating many of the situations where players can’t connect because of incompatible NAT types. In order to minimize any lag induced by this routing, we spread our relay servers over many geographical locations and picked servers that offer the quickest routes to relay packets between players. During the Open Beta, we want to know more about the quality of your connectivity experience. If you experience lag or latency when playing, please leave feedback on the official Open Beta forums to let the team know about it. Ghost War's Quickplay Matchmaking Please note that during the Open Beta, you will be able to choose Quickplay or a custom game. (Learn more about custom games here.) When it comes to PvP, matchmaking is one of the most important criteria for our team. Our priorities for matchmaking in Quickplay are: connection quality; providing a good balance between players’ skill levels in a session; and ensuring reasonable waiting times. Matchmaking works with two kinds of criteria – hard and soft. While hard criteria remain in place (hence the “hard”), soft criteria become more permissive or even relax completely with waiting time. Some of the most important soft criteria employed by our matchmaking system are geographical location (world region), skill level, and the player’s spoken language. The world region (America, Europe and Africa, Asia-Pacific) is a hard filter. In order to keep the lag and connection quality reasonable, we will never automatically match players across world region boundaries. However, in order to help players located in a low demographic continent find a game, matchmaking will automatically expand its search to the nearest high concurrent user area after a waiting period, while still remaining in the same world region (for example, North and South America). During the Open Beta, we are also experimenting with allowing players to create a private party and enter Quickplay alongside friends from different world regions (for example, America and Europe). Depending on the impact on session quality (high ping and/or bad experience), we may or may not remove this feature. So please don’t hesitate to let us know about your matchmaking experience on the official Open Beta forums.

BATTLEFIELD 1 EMERGENCY UPDATE NOTES 02262018
After the release of Battlefield 1 Apocalypse, some players started experiencing a momentary dip in performance when making progress toward the various awards in the game. The latest addition of new assignments and rewards was the straw that broke the camel’s back, causing strain on the system and exposing the problem. We’ve reduced the demand on the rewards system by making changes to the new Service Assignments. You will no longer need to complete 5 of the Staying Focused Assignments to begin working towards Assignments in the Climbing The Ranks category. To keep the same level of difficulty, the Service Assignments that unlock Afflictions have been moved underneath some of the Climbing The Ranks Assignments, serving as a soft gate before gaining access to the Afflictions. Please note, any progress made on the Affliction Assignments will not be lost, and you will still have any Afflictions you have already unlocked. FIXED Fixed an issue where players were experiencing a momentary dip in performance whenever earning points in a match. Fixed an issue where the Hellriegel 1915 Factory was missing sights. Fixed an issue where the Hellriegel 1915 Defensive was missing the optical sight Thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve these issues and we’ll see you on the battlefield! The Teams at EA/DICE This is just getting ridiculous with the low level of gabage EA/DICE is putting out now. An emergency patch for the patch? Really? This could have all been preventable if they talked with the community test environment (CTE) first. This is why everyone gave up on CTE. They just want to put of garbage and get our money. CTE is defunct now from what I hear anyways. I gave up on them not long after it started. Fucking unlimited ammo for a server update, really? Well anyways, I probably won't be supporting anything EA anymore. I am adding them to my ban list with activision and valve. 3 companies I will not give money to. Right now, I do not think it is feasible for DICE to put out a good game with admin controlled 3rd party servers until probably 2021 at the earliest. Everyone, we need to find us a good AAA title that supports our group. It needs to have 3rd party servers and admins. It needs to host 32 to 64 players. It has to be fun to play. It does not need to have pay to win crates. It needs to be customizable to. If anyone hears of anything, let us know.

Who will it be, Activision or Ubisoft?
