the unlocked weps arent too different, except maybe the jackhammer. The G3 and the L85A are actually worse than their defaults. I dont know about the G36, it looks cool, but its lack of scope seems like a downside. Really, the only thing about stats I like is the command presence brought on by rank, and the cool awards.

Contrary to popular belief, im not a stat %^#$!, but everytime I go to our server, it is empty. We need to think of some ideas to repopulate the server

I love it, its so cool, except when your team is braindead or you have some punk girl as a SL who refuses to follow orders (just happened, we won both times though, no thanks to her). Even better, I managed to play two whole rounds without TKing anyone with arty! My only question is: I got 56 command points by rounds end (if you coun the 2x bons), but I didnt get my basic command? I was commander the whole round which was at least 20+ minutes, at least. Can someone help? Also, any tips for an aspiring commander?

I went with the L85. I thought it was cool to begin with, especially with the scope, but I have since stopped using it. It is too wimpy and innaccurate in any real situation. On fully automatic it couldnt even hit a guy like 5 feet away, it was ridiculous. The m16 is my one true love for now

so unlike proximity healing, proximity repairing gets me points? As does repairing destroyed arty, etc?

Could somebody tell me how to score repair points. I have repaired friendly vehicles (with people in them) but recieved no points. Is there a threshold value I have to repair in order to get a point? Do I get points for repairing Dams and Comm Structures? Please help me

Over the past two nights, the stats syste has: Given me 1 out of 3 basic quals it said I earned (popped up in game, but not in awards) given me less than half of the points I have earned and has probably screwed me out of a ribbon it has been 24 hours and the stats still havent updated completely. I hope I dont have to re-earn those quals, cause I actually worked for them unlike a lot of jerks out there

strange, I never see anyone use AT. usually when a tank shows up, its game over man. I watch as people stand in the open and try to shoot the tank to death with a rifle, it seems like most people dont even realize that there is an AT class. I use it whenever I can help tank out armor that is smoking our team, but honestly I find it more effective against Helo's since heat seaking missles are bugged to high hell

I dont mean to be disrespetful Gator, but that was a cheap shot to those who enjoy ranked servers : ( This program looks awesome, and should definitely help me hone my SL skills, does it matter whether or not I get a medal for doing it? No, its still fun.

while I can definitely see where you are coming from Gator, I would actually have to say that ranked servers are actually the best places to be for teamwork and tactics since most if not all medals actually REQUIRE that you that you work together to earn them. In fact, on the servers where people play without teamwork it is hardest to earn medals, awards, etc. much less have fun. The thing is, most people who dont feel like playing as a team go play on un ranked servers, with the TAC server being a rare and welcome exception (my best games so far have been on the TAC server, because win or lose, there is always good teamplay and hence more fun). Please dont be so harsh on people who play on ranked servers, because I believe they are just as committed to teamplay, if not more so, than any other player. The most fun I have had so far in this game was when i lead a squad that was so disruptive to rear enemy positions that the commander kept singling us out above all other targets for artillery. If thats not tactical, Im not sure what is : ) All this being said, I have to confess that one day I decided to get the pistol combat badge, and that required me being a little bit of a selfish player for the first half of a round, but after that I was a teamplayer again, I swear! Oh yeah, and the L85A is a much better medic weapon than the default M16, its worth unlocking for the increased accuracy, which as Im sure you can attest is a valued commodity in BF2

hmm, im lagging around at 3300 global score, but I didnt get to play much yesterday or it looks like today, hopefully I can push 5000+ by tomorrow or Tues. Honestly I have just been playing to try and get the some more basic badges, right now ground defense, aviator, and knife are still out of reach. There just havent been any opportunities to use the ground defense weapons and while I do have a sizeable number of knife kills, the opportunity to get 10 in a round hasnt arisen. I just suck at planes when it comes to aviation

cant wait till I learn to bunnyhop then, cause it seems to be the most effective tactic ever against enemy infantry

New Biggest pet peeve: BUNNYHOPPERS!!!!! THEY SUCK THEY SUCK THEY SUCK. I'll spare the details, but I have been encountering more and more of them and it totally kills the fun, not to mention totally detracts from the awesome immersion factor BF2 creates. Im pretty sure they dont teach you how to hop like the easter bunny at basic

Oh man, you are going to love this: The other day, I was literally just sitting in an AA tank, minding my own business, and BAM! I get a TK. Now keep in mind, I have dont ANYTHING. I was literally just sitting there, doing nothing, waiting for a plane to show up so I could shoot it down. I hadnt fired my gun or anything. To cap it all off, the guy punishes me, WTH.

yeah, people need to realize that too many medics spoil the batter. I try not to compete with other medics, but sometimes they insist :\
