I got basic pistol, now Im trying to figure out how to get expert. I have heard conflicting reports on how to do it. All I know is that someone with basic and a tolal of 70 pistol kills also has expert pistol. BTW Thank you for the link, I almost spent the money on the prima guide, but now I dont have to. Top of the construction site on Sharqi Peninsula: 2 Spec Ops guys and me (a medic). A 5+ minute firefight commences with MEC forces across the way. Without killing a single person I score 60+ points in 5 minutes just reviving and healing those two spec ops. After A while, a whole squad of guys joins us, and another medic and I have our hands full healing, reviving, and fending off attacks. Needless to say, I got a gold star for the day. : ) It was also fun flying over a capped point on songhua (sp?) stalemate, parachuting out, and "carpet bombing" an enemy APC at the point with C4 while I floated down. Hehehehe, the jihad jeep is fun too. I havent used it since the demo due to score penalties, but man I got some really entertaining kills with it. C4 + buggy + jihadist +Abrams = Bad Day for every party involved

As we have all seen, BF2 allows for some pretty sick stuff, not to mention some mind blowing combat. Whats the coolest thing you have done so far? Feel free to post mulitples, cause I know I see something new virtually every time i play. For Me: Middle Flag on Mashtuur City. MEC had stolen out BH and was hovering in the courtyard, gunning folks down and capping the flag. In a total long shot, I whipped out my rifle, took aim (as best I could) and fired into the side door of the copter. I KILLED THE PILOT with a bullet to the head. The BH started going out of control until another player took over. Fortunately this new pilot hightailed it out of the flag area. Lets hear what you guys got, I have some other interesting "War Stories" if you want to hear them

I have decided not to sell, I read the details on the new patch and it seems that most of my major issues will be addressed, which is pretty good for a first patch. BTW Has anyone noticed that sometimes heat seaking rockets will vear away from their targets at the LAST second, even if their are no other heat signatures in the area, no countermeasures have deployed, and the target has made no attempt to evade the missles? Im just curious if anyone else has noticed this

BF2 is one of the best games ever, it just has a number bugs and issues that should be non-existent at this point

If you actually read the post, you would note that I am waiting for the first patch before I even consider selling my copy. Even then, I dont expect them to fix every bug, just at least a couple major ones. I believe I have every right to be flabbergasted over the apparent lack of QA testing this game recieved. I shelled out 50 bucks, and I didnt get 50 bucks worth of product..... yet. I am fully confident that the bugs will be fixed in time (look at bf42, sucked at launch, near perfect eventually).

The one thing I will give DICE that is about the only thing keeping me playing the game at this point (besides the strangely addictive reward system), is the teamplay. For once, there is actually A LOT of team play. It heartens me to see squads of guys acting cohesively to accomplish an objective, even if the commander is a *******. The best part is, i have seen this on other pubs too, not just TAC

Man, dont think I wont do it either. When Star Wars Battlefront turned out to suck big time, I sold it the 3rd day I had it. I really, really like BF2's gameplay, its just that they dont want me to enjoy it for something

If the first patch doesnt at least address SOME of the myriad bugs and glitches that somehow made it through the non-existent alpha and beta stages, I am going to actively consider selling my copy so that I can stop wasting my summer playing a game that has the same pros and cons as crack and get something productive done. With that being said, i will sell it for 30 bucks, so if you havent bought it yet, play the demo and maybe I will sell you the DVD version at a bargain price in a week or two. If I ever meet a QA tester for EA I will punch him the face.

Seriously, dont buy this game yet. IT just deleted my stats AGAIN. Not to mention it keeps F-ing up the login. The server browser is so bad, I am actively considering installing Gamespy Arcade which is only marginally better

Dont buy it yet, wait a couple days for the first patch or you may just break your comp out of frustration. When you can actually play the game (without this horrendous lag or stupiditis infecting the server), its the best game ever made hands down. It takes me on average 5-10 minutes to even join a server do to a long login time, the WORST BROWSER EVER EVER EVER, and long loads. Give it a week or two, enjoy the demo, then buy the game when it is patched.

I would be VERy interested in a scrim, we would actually kick ass for once

well I got my stats back, but now the ranked servers are so jammed and laggy that playing on them is useless. The Server Browser, being the worst one ever, isnt helping matters. Like I said, I adore this game.... when it lets me play it

well, despite how much I love this game it is sad to see they are continuing the tradition of releasing a buggy program out the door and then patching. Just today I think the game reset my stats

Yeah i know two threads in a minute, but they are totally unrelated: Today I was in a squad and it seemed like no one could hear me talk (even though it was all enabled, mic checked, and the talk indicator was on), and I could only hear one other member of my squad (Cleatus, but he couldnt hear me bacl). It also seemed like no one could see my orders or my chat. Is this a bug? Has this happened to anyone else? This isnt the first time it has happened to me.

The prima guide has some sweet info on how the stat system works as well as all the awards (their are 100+ i think), but I cant afford it. Can anyone tell me where I can find details on how the stat system works and what your performance is judged by? Oh yeah, same question goes for BattleRecorder, how does it work and how do i use it?

Im with G on this one. While it would be nice to hear about someone reaping what they sow, I dont want you to be in pain and risk PERMANENT injury. See a doctor, accept the consequence of your actions Besides, he will prolly prescribe those awesome narcotics that put you in happy land (hydrocodone, vicodin, Tylenol 3, the good stuff)

Im spending my time switching between TAC and the ranked servers. Speaking of which, how come there seem to be privately owned ranked servers? Can we set that up?
