It was cake.... Maps are tiny too. I mean I walked in and racked up 10 kills in a row without camping on my second round and I suck at FPS's. Ill see where it goes though, the mod system is pretty cool.

My fellow Americans... : ) Im stuck at summer school/Annual Training this 4th, 600 miles away from families and friends. Other than grilling some steaks for myself, smoking a stogie, and toasting Uncle Sam with some crap American beer I'm not doing anything to celebrate. Anyone in a similar predicament up for some patriotic gaming? What I would really like to do is play some Battlegrounds, a Revolutionary War Mod for HL2 that is amazingly fun. Failing that, how about some Day of Defeat or BF2? If interested, I'll be on vent at various times during the day and in the evening of the 4th.

Good general idea, funny, patriotic, and pretty classy. I would do bicep, pec would suck when you get all old and saggy. My only concern is that I have never really seen yellow done right on tatoos, always comes out looking jaundiced like you have liver problems. I dont mind tatoos (except racist/deliberately offensive ones in plain sight), but I am confused by the so called "tramp stamp". Why do girls get them if they already know what it implies about their promiscuity and "ease of use" regardless of the truth?

I feel kind of the same as Statecop right now. The few games I've been dying to play (Mass Effect, Age of Conan, legit Crysis MP, etc...) I cant afford, while the games currently in my possession have been more or less been sucked dry of more than 30 minutes of fun at a time. WoW was fun for a while, but people are either 12 years old or are elitist douchebags who must quantify their "fun" like f***ing math homework and sneer at those who don't. You can take your optimal talent build and shove it up your ass, I like my paladin just the way he is thank you very much. </rant> Gator's right though, its all about who you play with. I can't stand pubbing any of the BF games or COD 4 for any length of time, but I'll play for hours if there are TAC people on. Even if I barely know em' (all these FNG's ; ) Im one of the last originals standing). On a somewhat related note, anyone feeling nostalgic? I would love to throwdown in some old school FA, Total Annihilation, BF 1942, or Counter-Strike

the armor piercing rounds are actually smaller caliber than a .45 ACP. Not only that but depending on the make, the .45 will mushroom and break on impact. The whole idea behind the AP PDW though is that body armor may be the real difference in CQC hence necessitating a different type of round than the traditional manstopper

That's wicked, but the .45 ACP is a slow velocity round (if I recall correctly... too lazy to research), body armor would stop it pretty easily. The p90 and mp7 use an armor piercing round. Still... .45 at 1100 rpm sounds a like a wet dream come true. Thanks for the linkage Imd definately going to check this one out. BTW have you seen the new Bushmaster/Magpul Masada assault rifle... *drool*. *EDIT* Yeah I just checked out the specs, the .45ACP is less then half as fast as the P90's ss190 round. Much more useful against unarmored targets though.

So I was doing some research on the HK MP7 PDW and how it uses a special pistol caliber round that hits with the same power as 5.56 mm armor piercing. The objective being to create a PDW capable of defeating modern body armor while remaining concealable (as opposed to "hey is that an m82 Barrett in your pocket our are you just happy to see me?") Anyhoo, I was linked to the P90 as its direct competitor and apparently it uses some similar ammunition. Point being, much as the P90 is broken-ass overpowered in COD 4, it seems to be a fairly accurate depiction of its real life ass-kickery. Dang.

I do enjoy CAD since it does actually have an ongoing plot.

If you are a penny-arcade fan or just plain like adventure/RPG games. I played the demo of On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode 1 and found it quite enjoyable. Warning, its not for the young (its quite vulgar) or those with diminuitive vocabularies.

I have no idea whats going on with FA anymore. FA2, World at War, jungle mists, FA-Source, the other FA source, FA revival.... Which is freaking which????? I miss the game, I might even play it again, but im so confused atm

Gas prices spike to above 5 in a lot of places depending on specific conditions unique to that location. For example: there's a gas station along a deserted stretch of highway in CA that charges over 5.40 (probably more now) because its the only gas for 40 miles and the attached inn and store have to use a generator because they're so isolated. Apparently the proceeds from the fuel sales just barely cover their own fuel usage from the generator. So stuff like that, supply shortages, or just plain douchebag managers will cause crazy spikes from time to time

The sound is just generally messed up. Everything either doesnt play or cuts out. The only sounds that have so far been guaranteed are my reloading and firing sounds. As for the make and model... let me see, well its an altec lansing that cost like 25 bucks at Wal Mart (yes I know... I went cheap on purpose this time, there's a good reason). I cant find the make and model. Ill check out those drivers though Gator, thanks.

USB headset, no soundcard required. Ive tried running in compat mode and run as admin, no dice there.
