So I digitally bought BF 2142 and NS when they first came out, but now it seems EA has completely redone their digital purchase system and now I cant seem to access their download service without purchasing a game first. Also, they are now charging to keep keep copies of your game for more than 6 months... Does this mean I am SOL????? I just got my desktop up again after all these months and I would really like to play with yall again.

Not sure what those other reviewers were smoking, but the game is freaking fantastic. Gameplay is awesome, graphics are jaw dropping. Its definitely a beta... There are more bugs and glitches than I can count, but the potential is there.

Anyone else playing the Crysis beta right now? That games a beast.... Im sure it still has a lot of optimization left to go on it, but it brought my system crying to its knees: Core 2 Duo, 4Gbs of RAM, and twin 8800GTX's couldnt take it. I have to say I was amazed with the depth of the multiplayer and how well it seems to be balanced already. Cant wait for the full game.
  9. Thanks for the heads up, been looking forward to this.
  10. I play horde on Baelgun, 47 BE pally and 24 BE hunter. Im kind of a casual player, I like the lore, and I like to go sightseeing in the world hence why it has taken me 6 months to get to 47 on a char I like. Im kind of scared that the end game content will suck since everyone seems to get really anal retentive.

  12. I have a Zune and I love it. The larger screen and the built in FM radio have been a God send. I have owned a 5th gen Ipod video, the current Zune competition and I definitely like the Zune better. That said, I also have a nano for working out since HDD + constant jarring = bad. The wifi is kind of useless unless you get a hack for it, its way too limited without one.
  13. loved that movie : )

Anything emo or selfimportant like the Decembrists, Dashboard Confessional, Weezer, Fall out Boy..... Also, Bob Dylan is pretty awful (please dont kill me)
  15. I have dealt with 3 different recruiters. I am an Army ROTC, SMP cadet. What does that mean? I am in the National Guard and ROTC at the same time. Unfortunately (believe me I tried to get this changed), the ROTC contract stipulates that I could not go to Basic/AIT due to some red tape, etc. Anyhow, here's the point of this story: I switched from an active duty to a National Guard contract, so that meant I had to work with some recuiters to get the contract changed and to get sworn in. Of the 3 I worked with, 2 of them were (and one of them still is the NG liason to my ROTC btn, so I see him often) were upstanding and did and continue to do everything they could for me. I got all the straight facts, and as I said, I still work with one of them on a weekly basis. However... The third one, the recruited that actually did my paperwork and got me sworn in, was a little iffy. He was a nice guy... a little too nice. Luckly by the time I worked with him I knew all the facts and had talked with friends who had dealt previously with recruiters. I asked him some questions about pay, and bare in mind, he KNEW I was a non-prior service cadet with basic/AIT in my future, and he assured me up and down I would get the GI bill and kicker in addition to my normal pay. He said all this BEFORE I swore in. As I said, I knew the facts already, and I knew I wouldnt get either of those pay packages since I wouldnt be MOSQ-ed... He seemingly failed the integrity check... Moral of the story: While Im willing to bet he was possibly just misinformed himself, one must do as was mentioned above, and do a TON of research before dealing with recruiters. I wouldnt rely on anything but the most basic facts from them, no offense Warfighter. It's just plain good sense that applies equally to things like getting a loan or buying a car. Even if the car is from your best friend, you still want to research it right? SneakyArab: If your friend truly wants to defend the country, tell him not to get jaded by some apparent bad apples... Check other options. Reserve forces perhaps? I know the Army National guard has desperate need of officers and your friend will be able to attend basic/AIT in addition to being a cadet if he does it right.
  16. Over 4000 runners/marchers/walkers this year. Mostly military with a good number of civilian. It has grown quite popular over the years.
  17. Just got back from the Bataan Memorial Death March, a 26 mile march/run/limp/crawl-crying-like-a-baby through the New Mexico desert at White Sands missile range. Awesome experience, I recommend it to anyone. its open to the public. I'll post some pics when they get put up.
  18. That's the Marines for you... Recruiters from all branches can be pretty sleazy, but the Marines definitely take the cake.
  19. I feel soooo oldddd..... I cannot believe its been that long. I really hope FA:S comes out soon, the new BF series have left me quite dissapointed, and I really miss playing with you guys : ( To the Armory! *raises glass*
  20. lol, no it wasnt that poser.
  21. Ah yes... The ladies.... They seem to have a natural aversion to me, unless of course none of their other friends around. In which case, Im their best bud and its "oh lets hang out" or "hey lets do this", but the moment one of their normal friends shows up, its like I never even existed. Im very bitter in case you cant tell ; ) PS Also doesnt help when the only person ever to find you openly attractive was another guy... Who then proceeded to hit on you so much it was borderline sexual harassment. Yup, that's what being nice gets ya. Unwanted attention by members of your own sex.
  22. Yeah, I got two of em. They're ok... I guess. ; )
  23. sigh... I really want to play FA:S but I sense that in the end it is going to either: a) Fall apart from internal power structures  Sell and change the original structure that we all know and love (looks like its heading down this path)

  25. Ah man, I loved the demo and I had to play it on a crappy laptop. C and C is not for those who want depth. It's for those who want a decent (if slightly corny) story based game with it's trademark FMV (Grace Park and Michael Ironsides, hells yes) and fast paced action. The new ION cannon effect has got to be the coolest superweapon in an RTS yet. Also, the explosions are cool, I love explosions. I might be biased though: I grew up playing C&C, Red Alert, Red Alert 2, and Tiberian Sun with my dad. The first time I stayed up past midnight was when my dad and I couldnt beat this mission in the Allied campaign in Red Alert back in 6th grade. Still, I recommend C&C to anyone looking for simple fun out of their RTS's. I mean I love strategic depth (cant wait to get SC), but sometimes it just more fun to crank out a horde of units and battle it out.
