When did they change venerable ole' Gulf of Oman into a super armor whore fest??? I was playing today and there were so many armored vehicles, being infantry was almost pointless. I counted something like 2 tanks and 4 APCs all on one side (MEC) whoring up just one flag!! Have there always been that many vehicles? I remember Oman being very infantry friendly. The map I played was a death trap for anyone who wasnt an uber l337 tank/chopper/jet pilot. Im serious, it was crazy!

Meh, Nam was pretty cool, but I wasnt a big fan of how the foliage rendering was optional, removing a ton of cover and kind of screwing over those of us with decent machines. Also, the Choppers were weeny, they were way too easy to bring down. And there werent enough of em!

Have you tried Oblivion? They recently confirmed that there isnt a GPU/CPU combo available that will run the game at max settings consistently playable.

Ive been playing it a lot, and its pretty freakin sweet. I love the hardware physic acceleration support. I do have some major gripes though. The friendly AI can be rather brain dead at times, and the enemy AI isnt so much intelligent as it is super accurate and slightly psychic. On normal difficulty there is no way I shoul be being pegged by auto fire from 300m away by a conscript within the first burst or two. Still, I totally plan on buying this game.

Not what I heard: The army is FOR SURE moving to .45 for its pistols (matched to boot!) Further, despite the denials I am pretty sure they are looking at newer calibers. I would agree with all these people if they werent such whiny jerks about it. Im as pissed about the bugs as the next guy, but if you read the list of "fixes" that guy wants you will notice he just wants his insta-prone fire, bunnyhopping, n00b nading back. Those "fixes" were teh things that almost ruined the game for me in the first place. Also, why cant gamers ever express their opinions in responsible, productive ways, such as maybe organizing a petition or letter writing campaign instead of just exploiting to prove some sort of non-existant point? These guys are misguided, immature punks. Oh, and EuroForce was worth 10 bucks. For goodness sakes you got an entire extra army.

Because Im stupid, yes I will. EA sells digital crack, the gameplay gives you a temporary high that feels soooo goodddd, but the inevitable crash (both literal and figuratively) from the realization that the game isnt finished really hurts. I imagine it will be the same with BF 2142

meh, I just got elder scrolls oblivion, I dont think I will need to play bf-anything for a LOOONNGGGGG time.
