1 Nov 2006 Greetings Battlefield Soldiers, Over the course of last week some players have experienced issues with stats & awards, punk buster, and master server disconnects. We wanted to update everyone on the current status for each of these points as we move into the weekend. Stats & Awards: Last weekend we made updates that resolved the issues causing some awards or stats to not be properly awarded to players. We will be continuing to monitor player experience and the stat servers in order to make the proper adjustments to maintain the system. Unfortunately any stats or awards not received before this update can not be replaced. PunkBuster: Those players who have experienced issues with the punk buster auto update should visit the punk buster site and follow their directions for manual updates. We are currently working with punk buster to resolve player issues and allow for a smoother experience and to eliminate the server kick issues that are still affecting some players. EA Master Server Disconnects: We have added additional enhancements to our server infrastructure to eliminate the majority of the disconnection problems. We will be putting forth every effort through the weekend to completely eliminate this issue for all our players. We will continue to update everyone on our status until these issues are resolved and no longer standing in the way of your enjoyment of Battlefield 2142. Thanks for the positive feedback...keep it coming - I just added 3 FREE Anti-Virus Websites. - I also added an internest speed test that is the best around - I also added Microsoft's "ClearType Tuner" that will turn on your TrueType setting in Windows XP, and will help you tweak your fonts so they are nice and smooth. This is especially important for those who use a flat-panel monitor. :peace: NOTE: You must use IE Explorer to use the "ClearType Tuner"

Thanks for all the positive comments. I have updated the toolbar to include many new items, so be sure to refresh your toolbar to get the latest updates. I have added a new section called "File Site" which includes links to the following: File Shack File Planet File Front File Cloud Game Spot IGN 3DGamers Games-Fusion Xfire Guru3D I also added contact information to EA Games. This includes their telephone number for customer support. :peace: I used it and it works... If you haven't download the toolbar yet, you may want to give it a try. Its FREE you know.

Yes, you can load as many intances of the game as you like, and on as many PC's as you like, but you can only play on one of them at a time.

Don't feel bad. I just downloaded the new EA Link and it say my account does not exist. I have sent them a support ticket.

Smash, you must have only played the Titan mode. The Conquest City maps are more action than Special Forces. :peace:

How many servers do you need? :thumbsup: The reason is that EA has placed very strict requirements on ranked server providers, so there are less providers than before. They did not allow any new providers, and made it so the existing providers could not sub their servers to smaller game company's. The server hardware requirements are higher, so the cost of a BF2142 server is about 30% higher than a BF2 server. Its obvious from all your posts you are not happy with the game, but I will say to you this you... Give it some time and try to learn the game. It is a great game, and I think you will learn to love it as most of us do now.

The old server is now running Special Forces for its last two nights. The server will be terminated at 00:01 on the 1st. Reflecting back, she gave some great times with plenty of fun and laughs. I would like to have a few hour session tonight if anyone is interested. If not, that will be cool also.
