  1. I have a FX5700 Ultra, AMD 2500+, 1GB PC3200; and I can run almost ever setting at medium, with the exception of two of the setting on low, 1024x768 @ 70hz. It looks nice and runs smooth.

  3. it still is funny :sorry: yum, pork....
  4. Well, the only thing that is different for Mac's now is that they have to use louder coolers on those processors. I hope people don't mind the screaming fan on the heatsink.
  5. For the people who have seen the hit box movie. Ignore it. That movie was made on a listen server. This means he had only 3-8ms latency to the BOT. (1)The hitboxes are ahead on the server because the time it needs to register spaces the hitboxes and the model. So that when it sends the infor to the client it looks like a direct hit. (2)Plus, your latency makes the hitboxes closer to the model, and if you latency is high enough the model might be slightly ahead of the bitboxes. The 2nd part to this is mainly an after affect because of the scripted to used to show a fluent hit. So spray and pray may not be a bad alternative.
  6. The reason people use 1600x1200 is when they have a 19" or 21" moniter. I don't know how many 17" even support over 1280x1024.
  7. When did you change over, because I started playing FA not to long after that I believe.
  8. The price could be as high as $399, but Microsoft will probably have to keep it down around $299 because (1) need to keep it in range of other consoles, (2) not make it a full PC yet. I am excited about the PS3, even if the 360 functions over 1 teraflop. 8)
  9. Some games support widescreen too, like CS:S. But with CS:S in widescreen you will lose some FPS. Either way, it makes widescreen movies better. (bigger because of how the aspect fits)
  10. DVD version won't be more expensive. One DVD is cheaper than 5 CDs. MUCH cheaper if you do it by cost per MB.
  11. Then that is 11 years after I was born.

Top knifes... remember Lister? IF he had a knife, it didn't matter what you had, you were dead.

  14. 20, I really need it to vary to what I am doing, I want it around 14 for sniping, but 20 when I am doing anyhting else. Whatever it is, you'll get use to it if you play enought.
  15. That is so retarted. Duke Nukem Forever is taking FOREVER! It has been like 8 years now since they announced it. I am surprised anyone is still there watching to make sure no one take away their intellectual property rights.
  16. Northern Virginia, right now(5:55pm) we have about 2 inches, but we need more for our one plow that has to clear 10^10^100 (googleplex) streets. Or just so that I don't have to go to school on Monday.
  17. That will be so cool. That is my Dad's all time faveriot game. He was really good at it and would play it all the time. He never likes these new FPS much anymore. If they create it, they have to keep the some of the physics the same. That way it will keep some of the classic feel to it.
  18. Can you give the website address, so I can see what you are talking about? I might get broadband soon too. It is some company that is using 802.11x and they have made it very long range. They have towers set up in different location to give coverage.
  19. http://www.liquidgeneration.com/quiz/images/vg_solid_snake.jpg I have never played Metal Gear Solid, nor seen it be played; but from what I know about it...cooooool. I'd rather be Nuke like Sam; Nuke is so much better.
  20. That is really cool that they gave you a CD. I want a CD from when I fractured my growth plate (part of wrist).

Well, the people in my class get by it by using a website called Maximum Reach, or something like that. They go to it and it lets them seach through the firewall.I have never personally used it, but I know it works because my teacher is making a program that will tell what sites when searched was blocked, and what time and user. He is making his own becuase he is cheap, otherwise he buy one of those; plus relitivly easy.
  22. I only saw it when it won Best Graphics. I heard from some one that San Andreas won best game of the year. I am confused.
  23. Humm. See, I do my "research" by going to a bunch of sites, and then comparing resultes based on what they used for benchmarking, etc. When I was looking up on this, I found that some type of Geil 3200 2-2-2-5 latency was compared to Geil 3700 3-4-4-8 latency. The 3200 was always ahead when it came to transfer rate. They concluded, along with the other sites, that if it has a faster latency, it can transfer it quicker than just with a higher bandwidth. Now, you say you got your 3500 down to 2.5-3-3-11, which should make a difference, but how great can only be determined buy trying it with 3200. I was trying to make a comparison so it could be better understood why this is. RAM 1 - PC3200 2-2-2-5 RAM 2 - PC4400 3-4-4-8 Ok, I did it by saying, there is 9GB of data to be transfered. If RAM 1 is sending every 2clk and RAM 2 every 3clks, then how long does it take. RAM 1 can do it in 6Clks, 3.2GBs every 2clk RAM 2 can do it in 9Clks, 4.4GBs ever 3clk or... RAM1 in 6clks can move 9.6GB of data RAM2 in 6clks can move 8.8GB of data NOW, If this is wrong tell me, but I think it makes perfect sence. It also makes sence that you should be getting better performance because with a 16% increase in speed from most High bandwidth RAM with CAS 3.
  24. Mac, I have a question about that RAM. From my research lower latency is better than larger bandwidth. Because they have yet to make low latency high bandwidth RAM. Now I see than you have your latency pretty low from others I have seen, is it OC'd?Would you know how much better it preforms than PC3200 2-2-2-5?I know that for my system PC3200 is the fastest I can go if I had a Athlon 3200+. On Intel 800fsb and AMD64 systems does the bandwidth out preform latency?
  25. Well, not to usally. A good amount of them are just wireless with connetions for the broadband service.Yeah, I know it is 802.11g, but I wanted to know what brand and model. Sorry for not specifing.
