  1. The engineering program here is so rough that people do through it and say it is just too much. They do more than what is necessary, which is why so many people transfer from engineering to business. NOT that beyond what is necessary is bad, but your have to love doing it, just like you said KFA.
  2. I was wondering how many people here are currently enrolled in a college of some sort. I go to Virginia Tech, and I am getting to the end of my first term. For me, most of my expectations have been false, but they have been replaced for the better. Over all I will be fine, but I might get a little behind. I am having fun, but maybe that is the problem. I am perusing a degree in Business Information Technology, but that is after I started in computer engineering. Engineering education is worthless, I have heard that and experienced it. So your really have to have a burning desire to be an engineer to do it. By the way, if you have already gone through the college experience feel free to say how you remember it.
  3. It will be hard for people to change some habits. We need to drive, so we will pay whatever the prices is and then complain. I don't drive much either because I am in college. But I know that for my family has to drive to work every day. They don't have guzzlers, but the increase in prices hurts everyone. I hope this help push people to push their lawmakers to do something. Alternate fuels. Ethanol, hydrogen (my favorite), or air. Choices = competition (excluding telcos) Check out the pneumatic car stuff, pretty neat. http://zeropollutionmotors.us/

I keep playing Sandstorm because I am trying to stay on top. It has been awhile though, probably beaten by now.
  5. It should have that same ping, with 1.2Gbps download.
  6. Pretty fast. They can deliver the 1.2Gbps to business, and 155/6 to residential. Still, satellites are satellites; a giagantic pipe, running very slowly.
  7. The bigger functions of Blu-Ray probably are a bigger deal to the format than, up dated firmware. And to update the firmware for a Blu-Ray without internet access, you just burn it to a CD and stick it in.
  8. The only thing I can recall, that made it better, was the interface that had web access. Don't have it myself, so I am not sure. Otherwise, Blu-ray is far superior.
  9. I am at college, but I live in Front Royal, VA when I am home. 60 miles west of DC, last exit on I-66.
  10. The GT-R is one heck of a car. It has that special mode you have to put it in to do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. At the minimum amount of $60,000. Personally, I would save a bit of money and get an Evo.
  11. Patience is virtue.
  12. It looks like the guy should be sitting on a motorcycle or something.
  13. I bought a Gateway C-140 Tablet PC because it was required by Virginia Tech, but I literally only used the tablet feature for 15-30min on day of class. I was told this semester that you don't need one for the rest of the classes. Soooo, I am trying to sell to someone that will actually use it. I have it listed on eBay right now, but I would take it down if someone here wanted it. I have it on eBay for $2300, but I could take it down like a $100 for anyone here. I bought it for $2600 from Gateway, and I maxed it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/Gateway-C-140-Tablet-PC-with-Windows-Vista-Ultimate_W0QQitemZ120213255587QQihZ002QQcategoryZ39980QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Just trying to advertise it.

  15. Most companies use software like this to reduce costs. What is really cool is that we can watch them do it. "Millions of viewers from around the world will be able to watch our renowned craftsmen creating the Natalia via multiple live Web cams transmitting from our production sites." Should be educational.
  16. I like COD4 better because it uses float point aiming like half life games; opposed to grid aiming in BF, which drives me crazy.
  17. It looks really good. Keep it up.
  18. It has been awhile since I have even been around these parts. I kind of just faded away from Battlefield and even the forums. I don't remember how, but I stumbled onto Firearms: Source. I came here to see what you guys thought and found the post and poll on it. It is exciting to hear that you guy would be interested in pursuing it when it is released. Firearms is the foundation of this community and to overlook a remake of it would be a mistake. Until then I may drop in on the 2142 server. Haven't played that much because of Team Fortress 2 and supposedly I am in college. Again I do love this community. I wouldn't even consider another one to be a part of.

  20. Wow, you guys must really not have anything better to do. I thought I was bored alot, but I don't even check that often.
  21. I think they are very nice. My only opinion is the statement made in the second one. It maybe just me, but I think it makes it look tacky; it seems to only fill the purpose of taking up more space. Instead, the clan tag might look better if it were there.
  22. My favorite is "All About the Pentiums".
  23. I never watch many of his shows, but I do remember one that he had grabbed a helamonster and it kept bitting him. He was bleeding all over his arms, but he didn't put it down until he was done. One crazy dude; very surprising news.
  24. He would always get a knife, 92fs, and night vision. Everytime he would kill me I would call BS. He was definatly the best.
