  1. I used to have a Maine-coon. Very nice cats. It is very sad when pets pass away.
  2. It defiantly was. There was another one that I did where they would read off a string of letters and numbers, then I had to say them in the alphabetical and numerical order with letter then numbers. For Example... M 7 D 9 would be D M 7 9 It was all auditory, and it got pretty difficult when there were eight letters and numbers.
  3. I actual participated in an experiment yesterday that asked me to chose the color of the word when it was not underlined and what the word said when it was underlined. Then I had to switch that up and do the opposite. Interestingly enough, that prepared me for this.
  4. I can believe there will be a polar shift then. That happens at regular intervals and we are due for another one any time. Obviously this could cause huge environmental problems, not to mention all of the our technology that relies on magnetic north being in the northern hemisphere.
  5. Today is a day that never comes easy, and I am sure it never will. Today is the day that we lost one of our member, and my best friend, Sam.Gen. in 2006. It is also the day of the Virginia Tech Massacre, in which 32 students and faculty were killed two years ago. For those who don't know, I am a Virginia Tech student and would ask that you take a moment of silence to thinking about the families that lost their loved ones. I also ask that you remember Sam.Gen. and keep his family in your thoughts. Thank you, Luke Long live Sam.Gen., long live Nuclear Commander.
  6. Pictures like that make me want to get the games, but I am afraid that I will have to upgrade my computer to play it with those settings.
  7. I think devices like this are still 5 years out. The bandwidth requirements for devices like this are going to need a good FIOS or DOCSIS 3.0 connections. For now, cloud computing will work, but cloud gaming needs some work.
  8. I was kind of afraid that it was going to look to much like Battlefield Heroes, but after seeing that I am not worried. Jeep has never been a realistic vehicle, but I would rather it be fun than real. If I want realism then I will get off my computer.
  9. I really like the game, but I don't think I am going to get it unless they get rid of the 3rd person target cam. I want to play with Assistance off, but it forces you to that stupid view. Otherwise the game looks well, done. The review don't seem to hold up the multiplayer or campaigns though.
  10. I was hearing about this game awhile ago. It really caught my interest. Might wait for reviews, but looks like it is a possible buy.

Where I am it has snowed maybe a total of 2 inches, but the temperature is about 30 degrees and 20 mph wind most of the time. And I hate it, I could never live much farther north than this, or I need to be at least 1500ft closer to sea level.
  12. Looks interesting. Lots of vehicles, lots of weapons, epic map size, and apparently a "role play" feel.
  13. Because of how long some of this has taken it really makes me wonder how much effort is being put into it. I know this is a mod, it free, etc, but people lose interest. And it isn't hard to be one of thousand of mods that never get released. Anyway, good to hear someone is alive over there. Looking forward to any progress.
  14. I go to Virginia Tech and there was a lot of talk about gun control on campus. Like they wanted to make it so students could conceal carry. Now, I don't know if it is a good idea or not, but "the only person that feels safe in a gun free zone, is someone with a gun." Then again, what is the probability of needing it.
  15. I like it that we have to make decisions like this. Makes us a very unique community. But it is a whole lot of fun when we are all playing the same game.
  16. I think I will get 1943, but it really does just look like 1942 with new graphics. So, I guess I could get Bad Company instead, depending on what they say about 1943.
  17. Just such a reversal of ideas. From "If you pay us $10 we will send an unrestricted version so you can copy, edit, whatever" to "Spore...$50...3 installs...then your SOL! (oh, and we didn't tell you about the SecuROM that installs on your computer without you knowing)" I thought about sending it in to see if they would send me something back.
  18. I found an old Chuck Yeager flight sim for an IBM my family once had. There was this card in it. It offers the buyer to purchase an UNPROTECTED version of the game! This is so the buyer can "get what he paid for - unresticted enjoyment". I guess they have changed their stance a bit since those days.
  19. Well before they were only closing certian stores and were going to reorganize. But now they are closing them all. I went there today to check out the mayhem. There was hardly anywhere to park and each checkout had 20+ people in it.
  20. Tebow is an amazing human being. It was a very good game.

Impressive game. I did chose Alabama for bowl pickum though! Alabama is rank fourth, too. But still the largest upset in the sea of upsets.
  22. Well, of course, that has always made sense to me. I guess I was just don't want to see ISPs take action. ISPs will pull any stunt these days. You don't see utility companies taking action on an organization's behalf. On the bright side, this will get rid of those pesky lawsuits.
  23. This move is going to really hurt the consumer. The internet is becoming more of a right every second. With more business online than ever and Obama publicly broadcasting over the net weekly, it is going to become even more of a right to have internet access.

Yeah, got a message from his account too. I knew what it was as soon as I saw the message. My roommate got his account hacked from a phishing scam a month ago. Valve had his back to him in 3 days.
  25. I never installed the Setpoint utility because of the problems I heard with it. My roommate uses it and I don't think he has encountered any. I'll ask him when he wakes up!
