That is pretty cool...to bad the new COD will not let you play with your closest friends......

I tried the demo. It was "OK" but didnt just blow me away. I was also thinking about buying it but I have read some mixed reviews on it and I do not want to spend more money on a game I will not play long. I liked it but I want to play a game with a lot of people on the server. The problem warhammer had was WoW released Wrath and pulled most of the fan base back. It left most of the servers dead. It had a lot of potential but still had a few balance issues to work out.

I have been playing it some. I mean it is a cool change of pace from WoW but I havent been just blown away yet either. I will let you guys know when I level up more.

It takes a very strong PC to run this game. I am running a Qaud Core Intel and it runs really well. I have not been in a big battle yet though. I am debating if it is going to be better than WoW....

I am running ultimate right now but do not use that many features. I am not sure right now what I will get. Whatever it is will be 64 bit.

Did you get the 64 bit? I am running it and LOVE it! I will never go back to the 32 bit stuff.

No, VAC is only marginally better than Punkbuster. Anyone ever seen how many cheaters there are in Counter-Strike? It has VAC anti-cheat also.... I have a major problem with not allowing clan server types. How can friends play together and even if they add a friend ability if you are playing on morons private server with his 1.5 MB connection how good is your game going to be anyway? I was really looking forward to this game but I can not see myself buying it now. I can almost bet the backlash is going to be so big they will change this. We need to all write an email to the company if anyone can find a good contact email address.

Some companies will allow you to ship the game disc to them if you registered and will give you a new key. Not sure about COD4 but I know to play online you must have it. That is the one big advantage to buying it on steam.

Thanks for all the help guys...I found a fix that worked. I am not sure if it was the installing everything as the Admin or patching 1.41 twice before and after the SF pack install then the 1.5 patch. Either way it worked... I had tried several fixes as my BF2 would crash as soon as I started it. All I would see is a black screen on start then the crash. I tried all of the Alt-Tab fixes ect and nothing worked. Below is what I found in the BF2 forums and it worked for me and several other people. I will say I changed one thing...I changed the folder my BF2 installed to the normal Programs File rather than the X86...I am not sure if that matters but follow these steps:

I was running everything other than PB in admin mod and with Xp compatability. I changed those things and it is still doing it. I was reading a fix that I will try...It just requires uninstalling everything....uuuggg. If that works I will create a new thread about the fix if any other Win7 users have the problem. I will keep you guys updated.....

Was you BF2 crashing as soon as you started the game? I never even see the load screen. It goes to black screen then back to desktop.

Ok I will try that....I have been reading about a fix that has to do with the UAC crap in Vista/Win7. Maybe one of the two will fix it...I will try to get it going in the morning maybe...

Ok, so I installed BF2 again so I could play with you guys. I put on BF2 from the DVD then put on my BF2:SF addon. I then patched using the full 1.5 patch. I tried to start the game and the screen turns black like the game is about to start then POOF...back to desktop... Anyone had this problem? BTW I am running Win7 64 bit....later Nvidia driver for my 8800GTX...ect
