I was wondering if that was a photoshop job or actually taken. Not saying its not real as I am not expert but I just do not see a lot of stuff flying up and around it. All the ones I have ever seen in real life were sucking stuff up.

I have Been thinking The same thing Everytime I read his Post. LOL As for FA...ah yeah...It has been dead for years. I would like to try FA2/FA:S or whatever they call it now. I didnt really follow the E-***** drama with it. The only problem I see with that mod (whater it is called now) is by the time it is released they will have missed the BIG crowd due to HL2 losing people playing it every day. When you have to put it up against games like COD4 and other new games it just cant hold up. It is to bad as if it were good and they had released it sooner I think they may have got the same deal the original team got and could have took them on to paying jobs.

I play on Dragonmaw (Horde). I have not tested it with 2142 but it wouldnt do much good as I dont play enough on one server to know what I would have gotten pre-install.

Strange...COD4 was the game I test it on....No problems at all. Did you restart and do you have XP with SP2 and .Net 2.0+ ?

update....So i have played this game some... pretty fun! It is VERY realistic..to the point some people may not like it. I played with my friend and he couldnt ever figure out how to lock on to stuff with the hellfires when in the cobra. I was flying and it is pretty damn close to being in a real helo. Granted I have never been in a cobra but from flying a lot in other helos I can say it seems very realistic (for a game). I had a lot of air speed up at a high angle going to try to clear some trees getting way from a MG firing at us and basically hit the ground HARD. It was a move I could do on BF2 with easy but you can do it in these...yet any way I learned this about helos http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Settling_with_power I was giving it more power but it fell out of the sky like a rock after I cleared the trees and hill I was trying to get behind. I lost my lost power and popped the nose up and tried to auto-rotate but I didnt have enough alt.....I hit the ground again...yes HARD. I could tell it seemed to slow down so I am not sure if auto-rotate works in this game yet. I am going to get up there and kill the engine and see if I can auto rotate it down. This didnt work for me...

You sure it wasnt just PB acting crazy like it does from time to time? I just got home and played without any problems. My ping seems lower to some of the server but I dont play enough on them to say for sure. I didnt have any PB problems at all. You may want to update your PB manually or just try it again later. I have been kicked by PB before installing this for no reason. It is usually from PB not being able to contact its servers for some reason or another. It usually clears up after a few hours. I almost bet that is the problem with your PB.

One of the guys we play with from Australia said it took him down from 400+ ms to just under 250ms-300ms. Again that is WoW which really is not that badwidth hungry. I am not sure how it would do on and FPS like BF2142. Those BF games have always used a lot more bandwidth than other games. I am interested to try it this afternoon if I have time though.

I kind of got that feeling like they needed more also. I was hoping for crafting weapons ect ect. BTW the guy I know that got in the closed beta originally liked the game but now says it is a lot like WoW. He didnt like WoW......I dont see it as a bad thing if they took WoW and added what is missing.

I am with you 100% and normally I feel the same. Thats why I do a restore point prior to the install and save a copy of my reg. I can say without a doubt it made my ping go WAY down on WoW. Does this look like the face of someone that does not do their homework?

I am normally anti any program that claims to make your ping aka latency better. I was playing WoW the other day and some guy was talking about it and several others had tried it with good results so I give it a try! I cut my latecy WAY down. In some cities I had cut my ping from 350ms to 150ms. On the BG servers I went from 250ms to 130. It changes the way your system handles packets. Let me say a few things here: - I have ONLY tested it with WoW (it worked GREAT for me!) - IF you have vista you need to do more steps (READ BEFORE YOU INSTALL) This is your warning! - If you have XP it is as easy as installing then click apply - restart your pc If any of you want to try it I suggest making a restore point and backing up the reg files before the install. I dont like them other than the tramp stamps... they are ok I just do not want any mark on my body used to ID...I mean you never know what you may be doing one day and not want that on there. Mine is because of my job and I was undercover now a good bit. I change the way I look a good bit I do not want that to always be a way to know who I am. Others who work in the armed services get them but if they ever wanted to work in the CIA or something along those lines that would be a negative I think. Not to mention just the simple fact that it is cool but may not be 30 years from now.

Ok so those of us that got COD4 via steam have been screwed for weeks on end trying to get play after a patch. They take their time getting a steam patch out and the normal patches do not work. I thought there had to be something small so I went in search of a way to edit your game to allow a normal patch to work with STEAM....I have found it! UPDATE: I have confirmed this DOES work. I can now play on all the 1.6 servers with new maps even though the new steam patch hasnt been released yet.

Some of the guys I play with are looking at it. I am not sure if you know any of them from the SRT site. We may get Jiga, Claymorecarl, and lawman to play get it. I am sure when Jasun takes a look he maybe interested. So that would be 4 or 5 of us anyway. I was just a little worried that there wouldnt be enough servers or people playing the game since it is an older game.

So yeah... I am sick of World of Warcrack.... I am sick of HL2 (CSS, DODS, TF2) I am sick of BattleField(insert numbers here) I am sick of Navyfield.... COD4 is ok for about 30 minutes at a time.. Crysis...played it...getting old... Age of Conan...blah I wish Warhammer was out of I could get in the closed beta.... I am SOOO sick of gaming right now....everything just SUCKS. I play something new and lose interest in it in about 2-3 days...if that... Anyone have anything else I havent listed? BTW I do not have a console...and dont plan to have one anytime soon.

This game reminds me of the old HL firearms mod in a wierd way. I downloaded the beta today via fileplanet. It was interesting but I dont think I will be getting it. It looks like it is on the HL2 engine maybe..not sure. Anyway it is an interesting way of FPS....you earn points and "rent" a weapon for like 1 day, 1 week, 30 day, and 90 days. You can mod said weapons out also with GP credits you earn from playing. From the video on the website I was thinking it maybe crysis level of graphics...it is NOT...more HL2. I dont know how many of you are following Warhammer. This is a very interesting video about the crafting aspect of the game. One of the guys I use to play WoW with went out and got Age of Conan and then got accepted into the beta of Warhammer. He said he was canceling his AoC account because Warhammer blew it away....
