It takes time to get the logs. I cannot believe that they do not have things backed up. Come on guys. Think about it. Near release. This should have not stopped them at all. I think it is the Steam factor as well as the Multiplayer. Then there is the NVIDIA problem. Nvidia has really poor FPS in HL2 compared to ATI. Yes it is called Control Alt Delete. Shut down stuff running in the background.Also type in msconfig in your run box. Goto startup tab and uncheck all uneccessary items.Run your CPU meter if you have one from Windows or get one from Motherboard Monitor.

Yeah. Just get the manufacturer software for your HD and reformat/repair. They seldom go bad from a virus. You can restore the boot sector with those utilities as well.Dont buy just yet.
