  1. Hmm, that seems like a nifty tracking thing. You need to clean up your html tags so they work properly.I want to play DC again, but college is giving me the beatdown at the moment. I barely even have time for my primary game, Firearms.
  2. ROFL! Yeah, you're right. Then again, I have 14 items in mine, but only 4 are visible on my taskbar.
  3. Yeah, David, who is that? It seems that (s)he knows you. Weirdness. 8)Good job on bringing your strange friends to our forums.
  4. Yeah, that's probably your problem right there. You want to make sure that x remains an integer-type variable. No idea why you chose "char" as a variable type, but it was a bad choice. that's a better choice of variable types.
  5. O.o Ororo?
  6. Replace this: With this: Basically, you would be better off with a do-while loop. But if you haven't gotten to that yet:
  7. I can't remember the command for square root or cube root, so I'll just call it sqrt and thrt. 8)int original, x;float root2, root3;cout<<"Input an integer. The smaller the better."<<endl;cin>>original;x = original;clrscr(); //hope you know what this does. :lol:do { root2 = sqrt(x); root3 = thrt(x); cout<<"The square root of "<<x<<" is "<<root2<<endl; cout<<"The cube root of "<<x<<" is "<<root3<<endl; cout<<"Press enter to continue..."<<endl; /*<---you can omit this line*/ x = x - 1; getch(); /*<---but make sure to omit this one as well*/} while (x > 0)But I make no promises of it's correctness. Been more than a year since I've done C++ programming. :wink:BTW, what compiler are you using? I'm giving info based on the old Borland compiler for DOS. Also, before using getch() and clrscr() make sure you've initialized the proper library (conio.h) beforehand.
  8. I believe Bojangles' results will be true, but I'll still be rooting for the Astros. 8)
  9. Yeah, I'll be doing Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural design. Basically, bridges, buildings, and maybe some road/highway work. That's kind of a ways off, though. Right now I'm taking courses on thermodynamics and vector mechanics. Just the basics of engineering courses. 2-D vectors. Oh, I remember those days. Be prepared for 3-D vectors if you take college Physics, DEFCON. A whole new kind of pain. Then again, remember, every force can be broken down to x and y components (and z in 3-D), which makes things a whole bunch easier. Dunno if you've covered that yet, though.
  10. Physics is the most important of all the sciences. I say this because I'm studying to be an engineer, quite possibly the most important group of fields. Basically, we use Physics more than Biology and Chemistry. It's all about the Physics. 8)
  11. Oh that's right! Flak Magnet = DEFCON. I had forgotten. =TPhysics is fun, isn't it?
  12. I thought it was a good idea. Everything pretty much runs the same as before.
  13. Feel sorry for that baseball player. >_< If that was me, after getting over the excruciating pain, I'd get revenge.
  14. I'll buy it 6+ months after it comes out. Need to upgrade the computer first.
  15. Yeah, you're right. Just about all the choke points have been eliminated. Seems worth getting.
  16. I started playing during the last weeks of RC2.5. I miss the Vollmer Conversion.
  17. yeah, edit the weapon .txt files. That's what I would do.

Personally, I like the dark and light contrast between the posts. Nice touch.
  19. Yeah, that's a spiffy clock.

Well, when the vast majority vote for Bush, it's obvious due to probablity that this outcome results. And even if the eye didn't go through the blue counties, they still ended up getting trashed by rain and wind. :?
  21. Personally, the whole idea of the prequels was bland to begin with. One of the things that I love about the original trilogy was the suspense it made me feel the first time I saw it. Prequels can't have that, since I know how things will turn out. And yes, the writing isn't as good in the first two movies, and you have to hate Jar Jar Binks, but that doesn't mean that you must hate George Lucas. If anything, Jar Jar was a result of George trying to cater to the younger fans. Bad idea. If he had done things the way he used to, it would have turned out so much better. And yes, movie makers want their films to sell well, but in the end, it's their work. Novelists want their books to sell, but they don't go out taking surveys of what people want them to have in their book. If anything, a work of art or literature is more enjoyable when the writer's true nature is revealed within, not some conformist garbage that results from trying to please others. It's more respectable for someone to write what they feel instead of what others want.
  22. Blasphemy, cow. Pure, unabashed blasphemy. :?Anyway, Congratulations on the 17th Anniversary of your birth.
  23. That long?! You should have been playing FA. 8)
  24. Ah! Doc! you said everything I wanted to say and more. And you even said it better than I could. Why would a director ever listen to what fans want? It's his work, not the fans'. Personally, he's not doing it to please the fans and make more money, otherwise, he would actually care about their input. He's doing it for himself. Star Wars is his life's work, and to be honest, there's no movie out there that can please every person. Unfortunately, DEFCON, you weren't pleased with his results, but several million others were. Obviously, it's better to please millions than a few thousand. 8) Bottom line: Star Wars is greatness. P.S. Am I understanding correctly that you (DEFCON) liked the original Star Wars trilogy, but hate the prequels? You shouldn't hate the series because Episodes 1 and 2 are not what you want them to be. You should like each movie based on its own merit, not on how good/bad the others were.
  25. You mean Kazaganthi (something like that), right? Hehehe, that guys was a hoot. "Guard your sheep! The Kazaganthi is coming!" Or something along those lines. 8)
