you poor, poor guy. I feel sorry for you. Are all the cl_dlls files the same for everyone, or is it unique to your computer/settings?

  4. That guy looks nothing like Leonard Nemoy. How dare he?! What a punk.
  5. LOL, if you haven't downloaded those videos before Unwanted posted, then you've been out of the loop. Most of my friends from school told me about those around 2 years ago. 8)
  6. Mac is a fool-hardy rebel, that's why. Or he trusts his intelligence. I mess up sometimes, so I have an antivirus to back me up in case I do something stupid. Viruses and malicious files are easily avoided actually, but people like to just get stuff left and right without thinking first. Glad to say my antivirus has only detected one instance of a virus trying to get on my computer, but that was because I clicked on a link on one of my buddy's profile. Good thing the virus was stopped before it could mess with my compy.
  7. yeah, Gator, when are you going to finish your story? I found it interesting (the first part) and I'm waiting for the conclusion.

Yeah, he was having problems with his computer so he sent to get it repaired. But it's good to see our buddy back in the game.
  11. Yeah, I agree with what Mac said. He's right about us showing up for practices. And, it's best to hit a chopper in the tail to make it lose control or in the main rotor (some guy was banking to the left and I caught him right on the top with a stinger. The helo didn't blow up but the rotor stopped turning and he crashed and burned  ) Man! I love dropping aircraft. There's just something about it that makes me feel good.
  12. Get winamp 5.01: http://www.winamp.com/player/free.php When you have it installed and running, go there and download. http://www.winamp.com/skins/details.php?id=122902 It is very cool. I put it on 10% opacity and Opaque on hover. So I don't even know it's there until I hover over it. And there are bokoodles of different color schemes. If you can't find one that fits you, then you're weird.
  13. http://www.fa-thearmory.net/albums/album02/Hayabusa_s_desktop.jpg I like how my desktop is soooooo clean. And Winamp coordinates so well with my background.
  14. You would....
  15. Right on! chaplain_joe_black. Well said.
  16. Where are the WMDs? How about the fact that we gave Iraq months to comply with UN weapons inspectors. Any regime like their old one could have easily hidden them well. Never mind that they have large desert areas in which they can hide stuff. And also...abstinence is the key. If people used their brains and didn't act like animals, then there wouldn't be so great a problem with abortions and illegitimate births as well as STDs. Oh well, people will still do whatever they want disregarding the consequences anyway. I don't like political parties. Our founding fathers told us two things that we have ignored: 1) Avoid the evil that is in factions (ie political parties) and 2) Avoid intangling alliances (word of advice from George Washington). And this nation needs to stop being a welfare state. Government was made to insure our liberties, but it has impeded a lot on them ever since FDR and his "New Deal" Programs. Also, when you make it a hassle for the average law-abiding citizen to get a gun, you give the criminal element the advantage. I can't stand what a liberal interpretation of the Constitution has done to this nation. [And don't get me started on the Supreme Court (it's not right for an unelected body to pass rulings that act as laws). That's why we vote for members of Congress, so that the people are represented in the legislative process. The Supreme Court has become an unelected legislative body and the system of checks and balances has been compromised.]My 5 cents.
  17. I agree with Bush's conservative views, but the thing I have against most immigration policy ideas is that it seems that the sons and daughters of immigrants are trying to keep other immigrants out. Never mind that back in the day, America would take in just about anybody. Never mind that the majority of immigrants that come here are actually productive members of society who pay taxes. Granted that undocumented immigration is illegal, people should also be just as adamant in enforcing the other laws we have on the books. Why not be as picky about speed limits or other laws that seem to have "grey" areas? The immigrants that do come here and leech off of welfare are no worse than the U.S. citizens that do the same. And don't even get me started on welfare. Those were my 5 cents.
  18. I'm 18 (19 in the end of May, HAHAHA I'm older than you Mystik. ) and I live in Gainesville, FL while I attend the University of Florida (hoping to get a MS in civil engineering). I play this game because it helps to release stress. Plus I enjoy the teamplay aspect of FA. It's mentally stimulating and it sure beats watching TV (though I do love Adult Swim on Cartoon Network 11pm-2am EST Sunday-Thursday). Although there are jerks who play online games (jerks are everywhere), there are plenty of decent folk who play as well. That's why I joined TA: the clan members were nice and willing to help when you had a problem. And the TA server is one of the cleanest gaming environments one will ever find.

As most would also recommend, it's in your best interest to have at least 512MB RAM.
  21. It's all good, baby! Good to see you back after being gone for 2 days.

Another random post, eh? I haven't had a jelly bean in a long time.Stop trying to lighten the mood Sam! :PThey're not trying to kill FA. Remember FA is a realism mod. If a grenade doesn't kill you when it lands at your feet, then it's not very realistic, is it? Either way, if you have skills, grenades won't be such a huge obstacle, as many of you guys make it out to be. Typical complainer: "Goodness! They're spamming nades at a whopping 2 nades a minute. The game has been ruined! I'm not good enough to adapt to any condition. *cries*" If that's what it takes to ruin your game, then that's very sad. Those are my 5 cents (a 5 cent coin weighs less than 2 cents but it's worth more).Edit: I spelled "long" as "ong"

So some people don't like DoL. That shouldn't bother you. Do you realize how much TA was flamed because of Gator's wonderful (<-- not sarcastic in any way) decision: "If it's in the game, you can us it"? But you know what? The people that like to flame are the ones that are losers and should be ignored. Their opinion matters not. As a whole, I think the DoL clan is great. Just ignore the ignorant. PS: I've never been in a cab.

Gato has been doing some remodeling. I like it.
