Sometimes the update servers for C-D don't work. It's happened to me few times. If it doesn't auto-update and you think there's a new update out, just go the C-D site and get it from there. Good website address to keep handy: http://www.unitedadmins.com/cdeath-dl.php

Yeah, I notice that if I try too hard, I can't hit squat. Just realx, make sure you've eaten something, and your mind and eyes are refreshed, and you'll notice that you do a lot better. It makes a big difference to be rested a bit before playing.

Just use HLSW. Remember to change the connect settings to the new location of the hl.exe file.

It happens to me too. More than half the time I'll get a kill with my Remington in less than 1 shot. But there are those times that I fire all 8 rounds, and I only do 12 damage because I can't seem to depress the mouse button at the right time. :x :x :x :x I don't care if I'm on top. As long as I kill more than I die, I'm content with my score (I only count legit frags resulting from shooting, none of that "Wow! I'm awesome because my score is 11-0 after capturing in upham after coming across only 1 guy who only had a sniper rifle while I had FAMAS or some other high R.O.F. weapon." ) Try saying that in one breath. :roll: If you can, become an opera singer. :wink:

Yeah, I had to use Control Panel to restore Steam to a older update. I used the "Repair" option in the window that pops up after clicking on the Add/Remove option. (I'm using Windows XP Pro, so I don't know what kind of options other have, but this worked for me) After restarting Steam it then updated to the non-bobo version. All is well now.

Download a little program called Refresh Force. Run it. It will tell you what kind of refresh rates you can get at certain video sizes. Select Apply, and then use the best video setting listed for your FA video mode. You should see an increase in FPS. I use to be capped at 60, but then I ran this, and now I get 100 fps at 800x600 using a GF4MX. :shock: Here's a link: http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rf/ It worked for me, but since it's freeware, there are no guarantees. P.S. This info is prolly located somewhere else, but I'm too lazy to look. Thanks to Mac who posted info on increasing your fps, and Gator who got me to use this program. yeah, but if you were on flat ground and prone and motionless, the steils don't do anything. It's a little glitch type thing. Frags hit you no matter what. The steils will be missed, but I think it's better to use modern weapons in FA...

Yeah, it's just like Born To Die said. If you don't have OpenGL enabled or a graphics card that can run using OpenGL then you have to disable the fog... To reiterate, fog only works with OpenGL.

Yes, the AK47 is better, in my opinion...
