No, if someone attaches the virus to the spraying tag, and they spray it in HL; it'll upload it to the server, and the clients will download the virus'd spray from the server. Either way, you're allowing it to be downloaded because you have the cl_allowdownload to 1; instead of 0. It's very possible and very real.

I do have a legitamte copy, and it ruined my 150 gig HD. This happens all over the place because of their anti-pirating software. Whether it's legitamate or not, you're screwed over. This, is why, i won't support the 2004's anymore. I didn't mean it took up 1/2 your HD space. It locks up the HD and you can't use it anymore. No fixes. You get nothing from nortons; they say they're not responsible.

Don't get nortons 2004 anti-virus support; It ruins 1/2 the hard-drives it has because of "anti-pirating" steps. Get 2003 and update it from there - YOu get the same updates as 2004.

Yup, it is. I belive it was either myg0t or net-tez that started doing this on a massive level, but net-tez has quit gaming or being online in general. Havn't talked to any of them in awhile :/

N'a, It's possible to get virsus's from HL. You can hook up a virus with a spray, and whenever you spray your spray into the game, every client downloads your spray and it infects everyone. Pretty crappy, eh?

There used to be a push for FA: i know it was in 2.6; i'm fairly sure it was in 2.65; and i'm almost 100% sure it was taken away in 2.7 - The push back code also developed a few nasty other glitches and bugs in firearms; if i remember correctly, so it was taken out.

30 mg? they've got 73 offical members. You can make 4 clans with this. Four clans would be 4, brand new clans to FA. 4 clans is two more CAL spots. 4 clans is 4 groups of people, all dedicated to the same thing, with the same idols. The reality is, i don't care if you're great or not. Look at AESIR. We've got alot of members - but about 10 active members. You guys have 69 active members. This is alot of members. And clans live and die because they don't have enough members - usually they need one or two more. I can think of at least 5 clans that have died because they don't have enough members, while TA is grabbing ALOT of members still, while they've got 60+ members. I think MG's right with this one; TA should stop recruiting for awhile, because the clan scene is dying; however TA is accelerating this speed by 5 fold.

But, however, it's extremely usefull to do things with other clans - Easiset + most efficent. You can show support for FA mod; you can show support for leagues, new things happening..

From my experiences, anything but the full downloads = STEAM not working right. Go get the DoD or TFC or DMC version of steam - it should work.

I"ve looked for this, and i havn't been able to find anything. Perhaps i'm not looking for the right things or whatever; i just can't seem to find a solution anywhere

Whenever i attempt to play FA with steam, i get this really odd.. bug. I can't see my 'friends' list, my 'steam' list, the steam site, the 'join a game' menu, the 'create a game' link, the "options" or the "firearms" part, at all. And if i try and connect from friends list outside of FA; all that happens is i can't see the connection screen move. However, if i re-install, FA works just fine. This doesn't happen in TS, CS, DoD, hostile Intent, Battle Grounds, Sven coop, or any other mod i've tried. I've been reduced to re-installing FA every time i play - and it's not cool at all.Oh, and also - right after i re-install, I can't go into the options and re-add my controls - i must do it outside the game, or my FA freezes up. Now, could someone PLEASE help?

He's not cheating - it's a bug in FA. As well as, when you go prone mortors do 1/100th of the damage they should. (an exageration, i don't know exactly how much)
