You're allowed to download it, only if you can, yourself, make copies of it all. I can make DVD rips of movies i own - So i can go off and download any one of those movies i own as a rip...but if i don't own it, or i cannot rip it myself...it's no longer legal.

If any of the pistols "don't have enough bullets," it's not because they don't have enough, it's the fact you're not hitting your opponent with your primary. The 1911 EASILY has enough to kill his opponant, you should be able to get a kill w/ the 1911 everytime.

I keep hearing that FA2.9 will never, ever be on 2.9 "my games" list, nor will anything else. I'm being told this by a number of people, and by an equal ammount of others that it WILL be there. So in short: i don't. have a clue

I belive all the FAL admins have the same version of the wallhack; and believe me, it's much more of a pain-in-the-ass in the 70% transparency than helping you. 3nf doesn't wall hack - it's recorded from a demo; not live in-game.

Well goss, all i know is what mazor has posted. He's posted it's both a bug and an exploit in 2.8. Several other testers have also told me that it's a bug, or an exploit; so i'm going to just go with what the coder of the game says, mmkay?

Oh, and just because it's fine during 2.9, doesn't mean it's fine during 2.8. the infinate stanima bug is 'fine' for 2.9, yet still exists in 2.8. So, when 2.9 comes out, i'll completely agree with you (assuming, of course, it is in fact A-O-K) but until then, it's an exploit as well as a bug. Ah, but it's able to be used for ALL players in the game! All players can change their setup to it! It was put into the game, therefore should be allowed by all. I mean, god forbid there be a bug in a map that the map maker didn't intend for you to use; just like the FA team didn't intend for you to use any scripts that just use HL commands! If you're going to ban one type of exploit, ban them all. Don't say that X is an exploit that's allowed to be used by all, however it's evil; while Y is an exploit that's allowed to be used by all, but it's good. They're both the same: Horrible, evil little bugs in maps/engines that will eventually be fixed.

Goss, i respect you, and i respect your work. I know you busted your ass to provide CD, a better 2.9, and a number of other things. However, when Mazor claims something is an exploit, or a bug, than i don't care who else says otherwise, it IS a bug, it IS an exploit. Mazor has said it is, i'm not going to say otherwise. And as for Chappy and Shotty, you're able to (at this moment) take out zoom scripts that allow you to see through walls, and kill your opponant using guns. You wouldn't ban me for having a wall hack, and a zoom script? :roll: Oh, and i believe TA was one of the biggest complainers when net-tez was bringing down the TA server due to a bug in the engine that allowed it to be used. They also were the first to say something about arty crashing servers; yet they banned arty because of the bug. -edit- Oh, and for anyone who wants to say mazor never claimed it was a bug: this is for you

There are also inherent features of the game included with the default installation, that will allow me to gain control of your server and forcibly take control of it. Yet, if i did it, you'd be complaining so much. Also, i suppose you're in complete agreement: I should be able to use mega's wall hack/zoom exploit script, as well as a few others that allows me to reload faster, make you be bright blue, use hacked models, and a hell of a lot of other stuff? I mean, hell, it's just default installations! Personally, I have never SEEN a real, true, flat out perfect 'cam'. If a person is shooting me, I can't remember an example where, after looking around and analysing things, I couldn't see a couple pixels of them and shoot back. But that's just me. Of course they're HARDER to hit, but still hittable. You've never looked then. There are 4-6 that i remember finding on sd_durandal, and that was after about 4 minutes of looking. They ARE out there, they ARE real, just because you don't think so doesn't make it so. Go out and test maps with some of the 2.9, 2.8, 2.7, 2.65, 2.6 testers. I did for less than 10 minutes and found a number of bugs that weren't fixed for 2.8; and i did this with CAL. I'd love to tear the rest of your agument apart, and i will, but i've got company. *sigh* I was just going to let this go. I wasn't going to say a damned word about this thread. Unfortuently, someone had to bring this point up. Now, because of your position, you could also argue the same reason on why hacks should be allowed into the game. But they shouldn't. neither should exploiting. Map Exploit Defined: When a player intentionally maneuvers himself/herself to a location on a map where an opponent does not have a resonable chance of retaliating. Mac also posts this post saying if you guys could define something as a map exploit, you'd enforce it as such.. I'm very, very sure Alex, myself, Jeffy, or most FAL admins could get an "offical" exploit list from Mazor. He's said prone-strafing is an exploit, he's said that infinate stanima is an exploit, helm camming is an exploit, and a number of other things. Just seems, to me, that [TA] has promised one thing, and just gone around and done the other...
