I'll tell you what, the concert that I went to about a month ago had the best exit plan I've ever seen for a venue. There was a 4 lane highway that led to the venue, but after the concert they closed down the 2 incoming lanes and made it a 4 lane outgoing only highway. We weren't ever sitting still for more than a minute or two. Good thinking....

So good ole advice from your buddy K-2izzle. LIVE EVERY MOMENT during college - or right after high school - like it's your last. Life is good once you get out of college and have a job making decent cash. BUT, there's nothing like having practically zero responsibility (except to pass your classes), unlimited booze, unlimited chicks, and unlimited good times. That white picket fence you're dreaming of comes with some extra baggage, my friend. Can you tell I miss my college years? heheheh It was a hella-good time. Enjoy and congrats to all the grads!

I we generally try to steer clear of political and religious topics here, but I do agree that the US has given the courts WAY to much power. If you recall, there are three parts to our democratic government. Unfortunately, the judicial, particularly in local scenerios, are starting to "make" their own laws (or interpret it however they wish). Things will only get worse until we decide to buckle down and do what's right. People that break the law, should be punished --- and sometimes harshly. Here, I'll now hand my soap box to someone else...

Yeah... I'm still alive. I think. Well, having a baby does occupy a good amount of time. And when you're not with the baby, all of the other crap that you needed to do while you were with the baby then needs to be done. Doesn't leave a lot of time for gaming. I did manage to squeeze in some COD:2 for a night or two recently, but that was about it. Hopefully, I can hop back on for a while this weekend. Regarding the thread topic, the ballerina midget thing CRACKED ME UP! :o

Thank you guys SO much for everything. I found out what it is exactly that we have. Gastroenteritis caused by the Rotavirus. Seriously, horrible stuff. I'm wiped out man. After I made that post yesterday, the laptop went in the floor and I spent the next 12 hours in utter misery. I slept in the bathroom for about 6 hours, off and on, last night. Just BAD! Thanks again guys! This really is the most awesome gaming community that there is. Hope to see you guys in game by this weekend.

That's right... the bug finally got me. As many of my fellow (=A=) Team members know, my wife and 2 month old son were on vacation in Florida last week. They got sick on Thursday and came back Saturday. Now, just 2 days later, I'm laid up in the bed with severe stomach cramps, aches, fatigue, and the worst diahrrea that I've had in my life. No more details on that. I went in to work today b/c we had an important meeting and I had some work that HAD to be done before the meeting. I didn't make it to the meeting and felt terrible for having to cut out since this meeting really encompassed my department... but out of fear of losing my lunch on the client, I passed the torch, came home and immediately got in the bed. Thank goodness for laptops and wireless routers b/c I can't stand more than about 2 hours of TV. If you don't mind, say a quick prayer that I don't get the severe vomitting that my wife did. And please include my son in your prayer since he's still pretty sick after 5 days --- his first time being sick in his life and he get's the flu. Thanks guys. Back to my suffering... (Where's the green frowny face?)

If you read the article correctly, it said that it will use existing Battlefield 2 >GRAPHICS ENGINE< technology. I've never had any problems with the graphics. In fact, they're quite beautiful. No worries in that department. I think EA realizes that they screwed up BF2. I doubt they will drop the ball like they did this time around --- it could be a VERY bad move for the company. As soon as people think your product is faulty, you can only get them to buy crap for so long.

As someone that's hating on EA right now, I hate to say that I will likely buy it too. And regardless of what anyone else says here --- you will. Why? Two reasons: 1. If 70% of the people here buy it. You'll feel left out and will buy just so that you don't have to sit in a Vent channel by yourself, or in a Vent channel full of people playing a game you DON'T have. 2. What else are you going to buy? It's not like EA has any REAL competition. Sure there are other good companies making good games, but they're not cranking out the titles like EA. And face it, the reason there are 10,000+ BF2 servers online right now is because EA makes the leading-edge games. BF2 has been a let down for sure, but I almost hope they drop support on BF2 all together and start allocating resources to a new game that may not be riddled with the code bugs that BF2 has suffered from. I'll see you biscuits on the battlefield with my wicked laser gun thingy in hand. Eat my high-intensity light emitting diode of death-a-mijjiger.

Klink (and most everyone else here), you know my feelings on this. Since the 1.2 patch, which I was a STRONG advocate for, I have not been able play BF2 at all. After the patch failed to install correctly, I uninstalled completely - reinstalled, again and again. Due to a flawed CD2, I have not yet been able to get the reinstalled (works sometimes, but most of the time not). A buddy of mine is SUPPOSED to get me a copy of his CD2 so I can at least install the game again. Anyhoo - that's my same old rant which I promise never to repeat again. But in the meantime I've been playing quite a bit of BF1942 and BFV and both games are much more fun in my opinion. I think a lot of it has to do with the LACK of the points/medal/ribbon system. You really play to win each round... not to accumulate points over the long term. I understand that EA was trying something new and while at the beginning it seemed really cool and hip --- I think that the "wonderful new aspect" feel of it wore off even faster than MySpace.com, Teletubbies, big Hair and tie-die t-shirts. Lesson learned EA (we hope). So, in the meantime, put your BF2 discs up on the shelf and join me for some BFV or BF1942. Those games are still quite entertaining.
