Go - Do - Prove..... Congrats!
  7. I think the logo may be offset on the mug so when you are holding it it shows straight forward. The box size is about 6"x6"x2". Made of good quality maple. Merc
  8. Just arrived - hot from the UPS truck!! Here's the scoop.... Ordered: 4/16 Shipped: 4/18 Arrived: 4/20 From KY to Florida may be longer to other states. Good tracking via UPS. Shipping box solid and packed correctly. All items in 12"x12" box with bubble wrap around mug and cardboard around box.. Quailty: Mug - Glossy finish very nice quailty with image appearing embedded into mug. Won't appear to rub off. Wood Box - I dig it! They inlaid a tile with the armory logo. Nicely done with a glossy finish on green background. Like the mug in quaility. Great for little odds and ends on the desk. Mouse Pads - did have some frayed edges. If they'd used a dark black base material the white frayed edges may not show as much. They probably just need to sharpen their mouse pad cutter. They could get a higher quality mouse pad. Material is pretty run of the mill - smelly rubber. Overall it looks killer though. The logo makes all the difference with their color blending. The only thing that would make the purchase a slam dunk is a better quality mousepad and a comission going to the Armory for revenue. I'm very pleased...enjoy the pics! /monthly_06_2011/post-1024-130810181491_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-1024-130810181497_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-1024-130810181501_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-1024-130810181504_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-1024-130810181508_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-1024-130810181511_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-1024-130810181515_thumb.jpg

  17. It's Windows XP 64bit. Current Windows uses 32bit processing architecture. 64bit CPUs with applcations that are designed for 64bit processing running on a 64bit OS should do very well performance wise. Note that most apps today including many games are not designed for 64bit though. I would think that since Win64 has been out longer than Vista that it would be fairly stable. Vista will probably have more stability issues and even more incompatibility issues.
  18. I have an MSDN membership - I see it out there but haven't tried it. Should I? Maybe I'll install it this weekend on Virtual PC and see how it runs. I'm sure there will be a lot of incompatibility. I would go with Win 64 first. That would kick your PC in the pants if your system is compatible and you can find correct drivers and software patches.

No I meant you HAVE to hook your PC to it - like you'd be crazy not to. Get a good graphics card with 1080 support and go crazy. Get about 500W of audio going an load up FA or BF2. Scare the neigbors. I use to play FA on my 55" Mitsubishi and it was sick. Merc

Want to really hack windows XP try Desktop X http://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/
  25. For Win XP users..... Schedule this as a task nightly. defrag.exe c: -v Also you can.... Go to http://www.sysinternals.com and download contig.exe. Schedule a task to defrag the BF2 folders nightly. Run CHKDSK /F or /R if you can spare some time. Make sure no disk errors are present. Try a hardware based RAID 0 array. Put virus scan exclusions for all BF2 related folders. Watch out for temp file scanning. Fix pagefile.sys to 1.5 times your RAM on alternate partition or if you have a huge amount of RAM try making it small. If you have a fast CPU but slow disk drives compress your BF2 folders and allow the CPU to take over decompression duties. This will allow smaller disk reads offset by the system's CPU processing power compensating. You may process data a little more but there should be a perfomance savings for not having to read as much data off the slower drive. Don't be left on the carrier tarmac!!!
