    I still think a lot of people punish by accident due to the 'complicated' wording of the punishing question which means to NOT punish you have to say YES. Note the not really logical choices to do... Another thing I've noticed there seem to be people that intentionally get them selfs killed so they can punish you and thus in the long run get you kicked from the server. This is in my opinion a sad thing. Often it's people that don't want you to take the planes or choppers and just jump in front of you or into the blades. Now how lame is that? [DIAL]Doc
  2. A few intersting things I saw in that EA thread 1st a guy from mygot is defending bunny hopping 2nd someone pointing out issues with hitboxes when doing this. Now if that is true it would explain the problems I have killing these bunny hoppers Just my 2 cents, [DIAL]Doc

    Thanks for the tips K_Town I was about to ask you sometime how you work with that PKM, since it's my latest unlock (along with the M95 and DAO-12) I really had a hard time killing any target with it but I'll try again with my increased knowledge Just two more unlocks to go... [DIAL]Doc

    Is there anyway to see the current cycle? At times it seems rather short (e.g. not all BF2 maps being played) I like all maps, they all have their pros and cons and I think diversity is much better than playing 24/7 the same few maps. And I do like Kubra Dam that's a fun map :peace: as well as Clean sweep and Zatar Wetlands they are nice and different form most other maps... ...as for them being server killers not sure you mean performance or players? Because I've played on plenty servers that where full on these maps before :peace: But that's just me [DIAL]Doc

Even though I votes Yes, it's more a love & hate relation ship I have with them On the love side we have the 'realizme factor' and accuracy bonus (assuming this is true) On the hate side we have the not really sure what to line up with the enemy, the transition from and to it (not too bad) and the fact that each is different for each weapon, making it hard to remember what to line up. I don't mind the slower movement, since when aiming (using them) you aren't focusing on movment but on your aim (duh obvious ) Also Klink, just start an single player server stand a bit away from a wall and aim at something and see where the bullet will hit, at least that way you'll find out what to line up Cya, [DIAL]Doc

  9. Yesterday on that Dilaquant (sp?) oilfields. I was drving away in a jeep from the eastern most flag towards the center flag, when I spotted a Tank. he saw me too so I did some crazy driving and got my jeep parked right next to him, jumped out and started switching to my C4. But as I was doing this I noticed that I was out of C4 and probably out of options. But what dose the guy in the tank do? He jumped out and ran (assuming I'd C4 him) so I took over tank and blasted him [DIAL]Doc

    Also a lot of people are confused by the rather bad wording of the punish question, since it's not punish the player but sais "Do you want to forgive the player" (or something along these lines) So the correct answer to not punish someone is 'YES' which most people don't realize since they think it's about the punishing and thus choose 'NO' hopefully EA might wanna think about this some more and maybe rephrase this :arrow:
  11. Or they still manage to headshot you while doing this I think there must be a bug too that seems to make you invulnerable while changing from standing to prone or jumping. Because I had ppl survive Tank shells at their feet while doing this?!?!?! Well let's hope 1.03 will take care of this (maybe someone should show EA FA prone works pritty well there) [DIAL]Doc

  13. Oh, but he wasn't crashing in my example :o he was trying to spawn camp our base and got hurt bad over time, so I just finished him off :o
  14. Yeah its fun to shoot burning choopers with anything, chances are good you get it to blow up. That way I killed an attack chopper once using the shotgun guess he never saw that one comming :o btw. it's that super shotgun of the engineer, like it seems to do a lot of damge up close :o

I think the instant proneing issue is for one you can still shoot while doing this and don't even loose any accuracy (as far as I can tell) 2nd there is people who just prone jump prone jump all the time and still manage to shoot you while doing so and that's I think where the biggest flaw in it lies.   16. Oh you hate that instant proneing me too... ...but you know what actually bugs me even more? The fact that you can unload into ppl with a AH-17 (the attack chopper) machine gun and not kill them. Or how about the AA tank? useless ! Most of the time I have the sams make sharp turns to go hit team vehicles instead of the target I have the lockon?!?!? (same goes for the ground Sams) Oh and then the guns on that AA tank worthless unless you attack infantry ok done [DIAL]Doc P.S. I think when you go prone or jump from prone you must be invulerable or something...

Well you'd at least get some better technology for your car, and not every consumer will update cars every 3 years (due to the high cost of doing so) But personally I have to wonder sometimes at why there is a need for a 06 version of the same car as last years 05 version Well I do partially agree with your NHL, Madden or most sports game statement. But that's just money making. And has not much to do with the modding argument on your 1st post I still stand by my statement that no game company is intentially creating more games to stop modding More money to be made that way and no I don't work for EA and often wonder about their sports game line up but oh well it sells so I guess it works for them It's possible, and I wouldn't be surprised. I do know there is these kind of games. Also have you looked at sales charts for Japan or any other country that is much different than yours? You'd be surprised what kind of games sell there. A lot of this has to do with culture and the ethnic enviroment (not sure that makes 100% sense but don't know how to say it better). Also don't forget most of us on these forums are more hard core gamers than the big 'casual' gamer mass out there, and they are the ones that make the charts not the few hard core FPS players around guess this thread got side tracked [DIAL]Doc
  18. Honestly I don't think so. Modding (sp?) has made many games sell more over time because they keep it fresh. So I think allowing a game to be modded (sp?) is good and in the benefit of the game companies Prime example the up coming Civilization IV was specificaly build around the idea of being moddable (sp?) Long ago we had similar talks about modding and why there are no mods comming out for BF:V It's simple, as with each more complex game the amount of work to make a mod has increased dramatically. Now to make a mod takes sooo much time that most people don't make it through. And often a new engine is available even before they are done. Just think back to the good old Quake2 days, there where gazillions of mods out back then, then HL came out and had many mods too (but surely not as many as Q2 had) after that most recent games you look at BF1942, BF:V, HL2 etc. have less and less mods coming out for them. It takes 2-4 years to make a Game (having a full team of 20-500+ people working on it 8h a day 5 days a week and actually add to that a lot of overtime ) and most of that isn't programming but mostly creation of content (e.g. models, texture, levels, etc.) So taking these values into consideration it's not surprising to see that there isn't many mods done or released. Not sure on this but assumes a mod has 20 people working on it. Most working in their free time so (for the benefit of the doubt) are able to spend 8h each day too. So it would still take them nearly 1+ year to make a mod? Well not wanting to depress anyone but I'm being realistic here, [DIAL]Doc
  20. Same here not being a member of TAC (even though often asked to join ) I leave it up to you guys to find out what game you wanna play. I do like both games, they both have a different feel to them and that's what make them both fun :flame: And I apreciate all the hard work TAC has put into keeping the FA server running for soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long :peace: And who is to say there might not be some FA nights in the future, just for old times sake. Defcon, no need to apologize, I think every one of us got to a point that they where frustrated with the game (any game I'm sure) It's interesting to see peoples options and experiances with the game. I agree Bf2 is a fun game, but has in my opinion a lot of issues that should be fixed at some point. Like the AA being useless against Air targets (as well as the stationary Sams) and the fact that Sams even when locked on to enemies tend to hit friendlies. These are two things that have driven me mad to a certain level (oh and the server browser ) Particularly since hitting team vehicles (or even killing them) ends up you being punished for something you had no contorl... Well if you even hang around a pub server and see [DIAL]Doc on it just join his DIAL squad for some fun [DIAL]Doc
