I try to play on the armory server as much as possible and mostly on the conquest one. Lately the server side lag has been horrendous. I'll play on the Armory server and everyone is rubber banding all over the place and then move on to another server and find everything runs great; I'm fairly certain the lag is not on my side. Have you guys asked the provider what is going on? Has the server moved to either coast? I know it used to be in Dallas. It sucks that the lag makes the server almost unplayable for me, and I've seen others complaining as well in game.

Hardcore would be fine if you could turn off snipers.

No dedicated clan servers. No mods. You have to play on IWs servers and have to go through the pain in the ass process of setting up private games to play with the same group of people. No community. Anyone got some tips for tweaking this game for vista with a quad core. It was lagging like crazy and nigh unplayable last night, thats why I didn't stick around long, I was warping all over. BF2 does the same thing but smooths out after a few minutes, this just got worse and worse.

I concur, I love all three of these maps, is Jalalabad in there already? If not that is a fun one too.

Now for most trips over a thousand miles its cheaper to fly. We had to drive out to Chicago a year ago, it would've been a lot cheaper to fly. And that didn't even include a hotel! We just did the whole 10 hour drive there and back in one day to pick up some relatives.

I don't remember the name of the map but the one in the dark that forced you to use night vision to see and was full of shipping containers, that map was good fun. edit: I'm trying to find a map name now. Maybe Gator remembers the name, it was on our rotation when we were testing some maps a few months ago.

I voted 'no' because the custom maps I've played were full of glitches and/or poorly designed and executed. If we narrowed it down to just quality custom maps that couldn't be exploited and didn't cause crashes then maybe. That one in the dark with the shipping containers was AWESOME.

Mine does that on some custom maps, some maps give me more trouble than others but usually if I just reconnect a few times it'll smooth out. Any info on the crashes, is it a driver issue, a sound card issue, do you get any error messages?

Wonder how long that would last in a harsh environment, like the desert or tropics. Not long I'd guess.

I've been using an AK with red dot, smoke grenade, bandolier, stopping power and deep impact. You can pop people with one or two shots at range and mow them down up close with full auto, through walls if necessary. Works well. Usually I use uav jammer, dead silence, and a silencer but that got boring and I like to hear my gun make some noise. I'll still use that setup on search and destroy, so I can stay sneaky.
