I love the snow. It's been warm here for the last few winters so we've only been seeing a couple snow storms a year, now it rains all the time. We got some ice & rain from that storm but nothing major, it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow though.

I haven't had any luck getting no cd patches to work with punkbuster for the past couple years, I quit trying after BF2. Punkbuster sees no cd patches as an illegal mod and won't let you play. I got 2142 using EA Download so I don't even own a cd, thats the only good thing about digital downloads.

I really wish they would store user accounts on a central server, it's a pain backing it up all the time.

I'm having more fun with the game now, playing on 20-24 player servers makes a huge difference.

I have SF but most of the 2142 guys I usually play with don't. If more of us bought it we could get our SF server popular like 2142 City, it gets boring when theres only 10 ppl on the server. I think I never got hooked on BF2 because I didn't use VOIP back then, now that I realize how much better BF is with VOIP I'll have more fun.

Since I'm on computers all day at work I'm sick of em by the time I get off, that'll change soon though. I should be on tonight.

I haven't had a chance to play since the patch came out, I guess I'll have to start playing more BF2 for my Battlefield fix. I've always loved 2142 even with all the problems but if you guys stop playing theres no reason to go on, I'll be forced to switch to BF2 and COD4. I only have a few hours on my BF2 soldier so I guess it's time to start playing. Whats your BF2 screen name Travis? Mine is "anibis".

I picked up a HP 22" WS LCD today, it was $330 at Microcenter. I spent $699 for my 19" Sony LCD about 2 years ago, thank China. I spent $230 for 2x1gb of OCZ DDR2 in Feb, I picked up 2 more gb of the same memory a month ago for $69 after the MIR.

Downloading games saves the company money so it should be cheaper for the consumer as well. Now that EA is charging me $5 so I can download 2142 in the future it's more expensive then buying retail, that doesn't make any sense. EA should allow you to burn your game setup files to DVD like Steam does, they've forced everyone to pay the $5 because theres no other option. COD4 is probably more expensive because the dollar is so weak right now.

I don't feel the need to bash a citizen of another country for something they have no control over, I don't understand why someone who I have never spoken to can attack me just because I'm an American. I'm just sick of those who blame Americans for issues the citizens have no control over. Sorry I'm just sick of all this hating and lack of value for life. So, why do u guys think the reason the price is $20 dollars higher in other countries? I wonder what Steam will say.

Ahhh gotcha, brits and aussies are usually cool to americans, it's more the european countries and the middle east, I hear ppl talkin crap about us in blogs all the time. Ignorance.

I'm sorry but that really irks me when ppl in other countries blame "all Americans" for something the citizens don't have any control over. I read blogs all the time about various subjects and the ppl from other countries blame all Americans for the worlds problems. That is wrong, if you download a game it should be cheaper vs retail, not the same price. I think $49.99 is too much, I'm a greedy American though.

If we play on Saturday night the old folks will win because the youngin's will be doing other things, I say Sunday night.

CCNA = Cisco Certified Network Associate You learn how to configure and troubleshoot network components (routers, switches, etc..) along with some basic software configuration, it's mostly used for small to medium sized networks. I've heard the courses are pretty hard but it's worth it. Cisco is huge these days, they're the reason we have broadband more or less. It's a great certification to get, great money and jobs are easy to come by.

Do repair and basic networking, office techs do both these days so the admins can sit in the server room and eat (like my boss). I'm starting to learn the server side of things now, this is when it gets interesting.

When I was 19 my girl wanted a kitten for xmas. Her parents wouldn't let her keep him, we planned on moving in together in a month or two so I decided to take him until then. A couple months later I find out she cheated on me, I don't put up with that so I left her. I guess I was lucky she was an animal lover like me and knew what it's like to lose a pet, she said there was no way she would do that to me and insisted I keep him, I guess she did have a soft side.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Wolfy, I know it was a hard decision but it was the right thing to do.

Notice most of those who prefer BF over COD4 are the ones who talk in BF. Using VOIP in BF is a huge benefit because of the way it is designed, we have to think. They coulda made teamwork more important in COD4 with bigger maps and still kept it virtually the same, I just feel like theres no point to the game except killing or doing the same missions over and over.

I want my health pack & paddles back! I hate dying!

You guys know where I stand. Mindless killing is no fun. I love attacking on Cerebere & Gibraltar. Sneaking around and capturing one of the flags behind the enemy is more rewarding then spawn killing a bunch of ppl, I always try to help my team win. I had no problems with 2142 until I bought my X-Fi and was forced to setup dual boot Vista+XP, I like setting up OS's n such so I didn't really care about that. BF2 wouldn't run right either so it's not just 2142, EA would rather put out as many titles as possible vs making one really good stable game.

I hate the fact that it's just killing, no tactics or teamwork required. In BF you need to work together to win the game, COD4 is all about your personal score.
