Canadia Bashing!
Hmm, never heard of many of those bands. However you forgot Canada's greatest musical contribution ever..... Randy Bachman. Without him we wouldn't have such classic songs as American Woman, Taking Care of Business, and You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet (also he had a son who wrote She's So High which is also an awesome song). Even still, Canada tends to produce the same things as America, just on a smaller, colder, snowier scale. So rally round your CN Tower as much as you like, but remember what Robin Williams said: Canada is like a loft apartment over a really great party.PS: Hockey is made in America and delivered on Thursday on ESPN, so HA

Canadia Bashing!
Ha, I know how to spell Canada, but that spelling's no fun. Jeez, now I know how Conan got in trouble, can't take a joke. But honestly, on Tuesday when he was playing hockey with the Maple Leafs, that was about as embarassing a human being could be. His show takes nothing seriously, and thats why it's so funny (and on at 12:30 at night). Canada had to have seen this coming, it's the most shameless hour on network tv. If you're looking for high-brow comedy, watch frasier or something.

Building a new comp! (Sorta)
I just built a computer for myself last summer, and I found all my parts off of www.pricewatch.com ..... very useful. I got the A7N8X and have been very happy with it, as with my Antec gunmetal-gray medium-sized tower (which ALSO came with power supply and a few fans). Except I went overkill on the RAM..... 2 sticks of 2700 512 MB with with a copper cover B) . And I'd go with an 80 GB hard drive just because I've filled up mine already with movies and such, but maybe you aren't as much as a criminal as I am :? . By the way, has anyone seen those ads at the movies encouraging people not to download movies by telling the story of a hardworking stuntman or stagehand? I just find that insulting that they think I'm dumb enough to believe that me downloading movies takes money out of their pockets. Try the actors who make an absolutely insane amount of money for a year's work or less. And even so, movie tickets are up to about $9.00 around here.... $9.00! It takes me an hour and a half to earn that much, I'd like it to talk longer than an hour and a half to spend it! Except for Miracle, that was worth every penny.

Canadia Bashing!
Well we all knew it was coming. So much pride for Canadia flies around these forums that you all were bound to get your comeuppance. And here it is! http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20040218/tv_nm/leisure_obrien_dc_4 Conan O'Brien >>>> Canadia, what are you canucks thinking??? Looks like you can dish it out better than you can take it!

How did you start playing FA?
Well, I started playing FA at my friend's house back in 2.5, where I started using the name "Potatoe Cannon" to piss him off with its massive stupidity. Boy did I love that steyr aug, can't go wrong with 42-round clips and a scope. People always got mad at me for using it because it was a "noobie weapon", but I was a noobie, so those weapons were made specifically for me B) . So I played as well I could with a modem for a while, mostly sniping, then lost interest since if I ever saw anyone up close I was essentially a dead man because of lag. Then I got dsl and a good video card and came back in the summertime, and haven't left since. It's a great way to pass the free time .

Does anyone else here miss the Stielhand?
I miss push too, it's only realistic when you shoot somebody that they get forced back a little, it would help a lot with idiots blocking spawns.

superbowl half time show
I think you're all missing the most obvious question, why were you watching the halftime show in the first place? I knew full well it's a trainwreck every year. I wisely went outside for 20 minutes and did not have my dreams haunted by such a horrible performance. Just remember this feeling next year when you hear about performances by Mandy Moore, Tommy Lee, and Missy Elliot.

State of the union
See and the problem with the poorer third world countries is not that capitalism is exploiting them, it's that there are no jobs there in the first place. For example, think about what's gonna happen to the middle east in 100 years when the oil runs out. There will be no resources there for people to live off of. There will be extreme poverty and all that fun stuff because they are living in the middle of a desert. When capitalism moves into these areas and pays low wages for work, it should be a clue for these people that they should go somewhere else where they can get a decent job, or even just farm. Thats the main thing that people in poor countries should be doing anyway: farming. If these third world countries were more agrarian, its citizens would at least be making their own food to eat and there'd be much less poverty there. Farms and base manufacturing (clothing, equipment, etc.) are all that fledgling economies need to survive. As for places like India where farming isn't possible, MOVE! There's a billion people living in a freakin desert, why are people marveling at the poverty there? 1) They should stop having so many kids that they can't support anyway, and 2) they should go someplace like southeast asia and become rice farmers. At least then they'll have food to eat. But stop acting like capitalism is destroying the world. All its doing is delaying the inevitable, which is that overpopulation will readjust itself through poverty and sickness in inner cities, and people living in the desert for no reason will either move in order to make a decent living or die of hunger or thirst in the desert.

State of the union
meh, I smell loopholes.....I wouldn't worry too much about it. Think of some other companies that partake in online gaming, such as Microsoft and Sony. I bet their lawyers will beat this patent into the ground. At least with all the harm that people have been pointing out that big business does to our society, its nice to know that at least they're looking out for the community over the individual, right chaplain?

AIM
Yeah it happens from time to time. It probably takes you a really long time to sign on too right? Its just a connection problem with the server I think, I usually just restart my computer and its fine, unless its a problem with the aol server, and if thats the case then they may be updating the software so the service is temporarily unavailable.Have one of your friends see if it registers you as being online when this happens, chances are it won't. Its more of a connection problem, not a problem with your buddy list.

Idea
How about you just open up sign up to everyone for a couple days, and out of those who signed up take the 10 or 12 that have the most posts, then you wouldn't have to worry about inactive people.

Answer the Riddle II
No one answered sharpshooter's riddle. The only yes/no question that can't be answered yes (truthfully) is "are you dead?"Here's another:When its light, I'm dark. When its dark, I'm gone. And when you die, so do I.What am I?

Some funny jokes, sayings ryhmes and other stuff
hahaha, thats pretty good deadeyeIf rabbits' feet are so lucky, then what happened to the rabbit? Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp that no decent human being would ever eat?And of course, the genius that is Harland Williams:"To a homeless man, a scarecrow is a free pair of clothes in the middle of food.""My girlfriend said last week that I wasn't good enough in the sack. So I took a bottle of viagra and drank a case of red bull. Her funeral is next tuesday."

knife test
I'd be worried about someone else coming by with a gun and blowing me away thinking they are helping their teammate. What do you say? "Don't shoot me even though I'm on the other team." Its kill or be killed.

Doing a CNN poll again on the TA site
With how f'd up the Iraqi infrastructure was, and with how ruthless Hussein was and still is, how many civilians would have died each day just from the old regime? I bet its more that the daily rate now. And also keep in mind that terrorists look an awful lot like civilians, and many civilians also still actively support Hussein. Maybe the US had good reason to bomb these buildings, and the civilians were where they shouldn't have been if they were truly innocent. Once again, its all speculation. But what I would really like to know is, for all the people who supported weapons inspections and opposed the war, what was your long-term goal? That Hussein would straighten up and become a fair ruler? A man who dropped chemical weapons on civilians (your precious, 100% innocent, unjustly-killed, battle-flag civilians), murdered his political opposition, and built palaces the likes of which have not been seen since Louis XIV while many of his countrymen starved in the desert? A man with complete, 100% power, who is so egotistical that he insists on holding elections that even the mentally challenged realize are a sham? A man like this will not be able to be controlled, even long tolerated, in a peaceful and just middle east. So what then? Wait him out? First of all, Castro has shown us that waiting out a world leader is not a good idea. Secondly, since scientifically he must die someday, he had not one but two sons ready to take his place, who for all intents and purposes were just as ruthless if not more so than their father. So what then? Just take his weapons and let the Iraqis fare for themsleves? Well, Iraq has plenty of funds from oil that are being hoarded from the Iraqi people. Lets run down a laundry list of their neighbors: Russia, who has nuclear weapons (somewhere) and other good stuff, and who would surely like financial aid and possibly some muslim intervention in chechnya; Iran (the one letter in their name is one of the larger differences between the two countries), they would have no problem helping out their similar muslim neighbor, especially since Iran would be a target once Iraq fell; Syria, come on, everything that was bad in Iraq fled there, they're as big of a target as Iraq, so helping Iraq would keep them from moving up on Bush's to-do list, plus it doesn't hurt to have a big buddy like Iraq on your side; Saudi Arabia, half of them would be helping Iraq, and the other half would be denying it to get money from the US; and this isn't even counting countries like France, that see a profit to be made from the sale of weapons (as long as another country fights the war for them). So now, take Hussein's weapons (the ones that he hasn't moved to his neighbors until the inspectors leave) and the day the inspections end Iraq will be flooded with all the weapons money can buy faster than alcohol hit New York after prohibition. And don't forget, Iraqis have been dying of starvation and injustice this whole time. And not the soldiers either, only the innocent civilians, not one of which can die while another country is earning their freedom. America lost many more people than that during the revolution, and the Iraqis don't even have to fight the war! We're doing it for them! What if during the revolution the colonists had said, "Well France, we really do hate the british rule (the injustices of which pale in comparison to Hussein's injustices), but we may die if we fight in a war, and remember we produce your tobacco (even though after the war we will become our own country and therefore you will get no resources out of it, just more stability in the supply of it). So it would be great if you could fight this war for us, some of us will help, but just as many will oppose you, and your own citizens will complain every time one of us is killed, even though your fighting our war so we don't have to." The Iraqis are getting freedom from a war they don't have to fight, stop complaining every time civilians die that its a great injustice to them. They knew the danger of staying around for the war, they should have left beforehand....... oh wait, Hussein would have killed them if they tried to leave, and theres a good chance he would have killed them eventually anyway, directly or indirectly, if the US hadn't stepped in and said "the only difference between Hussein and Hitler is the size of the army, but both murdered their own countrymen for the smallest of reasons, maybe we should LEARN FROM HISTORY and not appease Hussein by saying 'give us your weapons and you can keep your dictatorship' and instead get rid of one of the biggest war criminals of our time and save the lives of thousands of civilians he would have killed."I'd really like to know that

I think what he means is calling a dog is like using a cell phone. When you call, it answers you. But a cat is like and answering machine. When you call it, it looks at you like "yeah, I hear you, but if you want something you can drag your lazy *** over here and do it yourself, because I don't give a ****."

Fire Arms wish list
I chose other because I would like a bullet shot from 5 feet away to do more damage than one shot 50 feet away, that way if you sneak up on someone with an smg you don't need to still put the good part of a clip in them like you would from farther away, and a 9mm from a distance would barely pierce the armor.

But our soldiers have found evidence of chemical weapons buried in scientists' backyards. Its not like the country is clean, its just everyone is expecting us to find a huge warehouse filled with WMD, so they ignore the little things.

Jokes
Well, since the Irish jokes are already flying around.....An Irishman dies and goes up to heaven. When he arrives at the gates of Heaven, St. Peter pulls his file to review what he has done during his life. He reads it over with a worried look on his face, and then says to the man, "Excuse me sir, it says here that you were a member of the IRA during your life. Is that true?" And the man nods his head. So St. Peter continues, "Well, it says here you were responsible for several bombings, is that true?" And the man nods his head again. So St. Peter finally says, "Well, I'm terribly sorry sir, but I don't think I can let you into Heaven." So the man replies, "Oh I'm not here to get in, I just wanted to tell you that you have 20 minutes to get out."
