lol, yeah i posted about this a while ago. Doom3 is a pretty much a prettified rip off of HalfLife with the aliens replaced with demons. Id really isnt the most imaginative bunch of people, though they make some tight graphics engines

you two are the first two i ve met who liked the prequels. My main gripe was the fact that the dialogue was poorly written and even more poorly performed. They all acted like robots. As for the fan thing you are right to a certain degree, but sometimes focusing too much on your vision, especially when there are some glaring errors is not a good way to stay in touch with reality of what people want to see. And lets face it, SW is all about what ppl want to see

if you read interviews with G. Lucas over the years including a recent one, a dsiturbing fact comes to be known: Lucas doenst give a *censored* about the fan community. He has said time and time again that he does not listen to the fan community at all and that the SW movies are only what HE wants, and what he wants are crappy exercises in old (read: poorly made) school film making. SW is dead, episode 3 will suck just as bad as 1 and 2 since he wont acknowledge the necessity for real acting and real dialogue. Sorry to burst anyones bubble but SW is dead to this ex-fanboy

Im loving ROTC and i think i will grow to like color guard, but i have only had a single class (not counting PT) before this. I havent even learned to march, but I am glad i am rifle, learning the commands and execution is hard but its gratifying

Well guys, some of you might know i am in college now, and further, am participating in Army ROTC. Well yesterday i volunteered to join the color guard for a football game this Friday. Long story short, I am very new, have only had one drill and ceremony session other than the color guard training and will be a rifleman in the guard this saturday. I will be in front of hundreds of ppl trying desperately not to screw up my drill and to actually be able stay in step and not fall over when doing left/right faces. Wish me luck guys, Im not the sharpest tool in the shed and I only have one practice before the game to get it right.

I need to update the drivers on my notebook's FireGL T2 128mb mobile, but ATI doesnt support its mobile devices, and im sure HP hasnt written anything new. Any suggestions?

Well guys sorry for the abscence, but i have been out of internet since moving into my dorm at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. We just got our internet and new latptops today. The laptops are sweet indeed, they are capable of running Doom 3 at a good clip, as well as all other new games, they have full wi fi and bluetooth as well as an UXGA screen for super high res. Mmmmmm....Dorms are awesome, ppl are awesome, campus is awesome, terre haute indiana sucks, everything is awesome. More news as events warrant

Hey guys, i have decided that my old name just wasnt as cool as my even older CS beta days name, DEFCON. Its a name I use for a lot of games as well as my gmail account, and i find it to be just a little smoother and easier to roll off the tongue then Flak Magnet. Also, military acronymns are just plain cool. A little bit of superstition also moved ahead my decision to change names, I found that as Flak Magnet I was indeed attracting more than my fair share of explosive ordnance in games.
