Actually, It shows up exectly the same in the picture provided as it does in the game, at least for me. And that "foggyness" is a pane of glass that I had my flashlight focused on because there were no other lights :lies: the Zombie was trying to break throug the unbreakable glass to get to me, that's the main reason for the text at the top. :peace: To help illistrate this, here's the original screenshot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v426/zorlentrivar/d2_coast_090000.jpg

Ok, FA works but it and all my Half Life games are in a seperate account than my Half Life 2 games. Little inconvenient but oh well. But, in FA, there's this wierd echo effect on *every* sound created by a user ie: gunfire, footsteps, even the sounf when you mouse over the menu buttons. This gets very annoying when you can't hear anything but senseless noise duing a firefight as a result of all the echoing. Any suggestions on how to fix it? it only affects FA.

Yeah, While I was waiting for steam to install my DoD files, I got bored and started looking through my screenshots from Half Life2. Well, I found one involving a headcrab zombie that I thought was funny and made a simple spray out of it. Took me all of 5 minutes. The cache files are the .gcf's in the steamapps folder, at least that's what I assume they are. The "half-life.gcf" and "half-life engine.gcf" is what I was talking about. I had to redownload those. When I reinstalled Steam, it got rid of *everything* relating to the original HL, including the game folders. Sorry if that was confusing. :peace: >UPDATE< OK, I've come up with a possible solution. I'm going to install the steam program with all the cache files from HL1 on my second hard drive, get everything working and updated, and then copy them into my current Steam folder. That should hopefully work >another update... because double posting is baaaaaad!< Nope, didn't work either. even then Half Life, Counter Strike and what not didn't show up even in a new account... but that reminds me! I made a new account as well when I reinstalled Steam! I'm pretty sure I know what my old username/password was before I got HL2 and then those games should still be registered under that. For some strange reason, despite having the cache files for the original Half Life, steam won't decrypt them or show HL in "My Games." Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but without HL, I can't play FA which sucks. This has been a problem since Christmas 04 when I completely reinstalled Steam because HL2 was giving me a hard time during the Install process. So, does anyone know a way to get HL and FA to work? lol I was just getting the hang of aiming with the m14/m16/m4 when this happened :peace:

I'm not sure. I haven't played any of the BF games so I really don't know what to expect. I'm fairly sure that my comp will run it though, especially after I upgrade my pathetic motherboard and use my Athlon 2600 XP CPU instead of my craptacular 1.3 Ghz Duron I probably won't be one of the first in line to get it, but maybe a few months after it's released if I get it at all.

Well, thanks for your confidence in my legit abilities :o And since you brought up FA, how can I get steam to download Half Life, the original one, so I can play FA again? I have the cache files for it and everything but it doesn't show up in the My Games window in steam >_<

I think your doing great so far. The background you have is very very nice, I just hope that you remembered to save a version that still has the layers. It's a pain when that happens. As was already mentioned, the font for your name is a little small and hard to read. Other than that I can't wait to see the final product. Keep up the awsome work :peace:
