Ok, thanks for the comments. I fixed the crappy stars, added some other hues to the nebula and made it look less solid and I added rings to the prominent planet. what do you think of the new and improved space scene?

I think that it works great, but there is something irritating about it... IT DOESN'T REPEAT WELL. On my screen, the banner starts to repeat itself on the far left side and quite frankly, it doesn't work too well. Try centering the banner and getting rid of the repeat or keep the repeat but make it seamless. I'll get a screenshot of it later if you want one to help understand what I'm rambling about.

I really don't find much of a difference. My m14/m16 are more accurate (woot headshots!) and it is a little faster paced. The FAMAS is still an annoying little pwnage machine. I need to replace my steel umbrella from the raining grenades. My head gets removed with equal ease from all ranges. Overall, not much changed. I do however like the m14 scope crosshair because for some reason I find it easier to aim with that than any other scope crosshair.

Here you go Bones. This time I kept the quality as high as possible while still being below the Photobucket limit of 250 KBs. I also experimented with a different star technique I though of besides preset brushes and/or noise as well as a decent looking nebula. Hope you like it

Unfortunately I couldn't find anything about that. If you do a subdomain it'll be a .com because it's a subdomain of their website, astahost.com. But for their domain hosting... who knows. It may be that you have to provide a domain name or maybe they provide you one for free or for a price. You could go the .tk rout by setting up as a subdomain at astahost.com and then getting a free domain name with the .tk extension. That way it's assured to be free. I wouldn't quote me on any of this however because it's just asumptions based on no actual information from their website. I'll check it out more and get back with you guys.

You guys may or may not have figured this out already, but I am a "professional" Graphics artist (The professional part is in quotations because while I do take graphics requests at a graphics design forum, It's just that: a forum. Nothing more). I am a graphics request moderator at Web Cargo Studios, their first one in fact. So, if you ever need web graphics, such as signature banners and the like, feel free to go over there and request some. There are some requirements before you can request, but they're not too bad. The main restriction is a 15 post minimum. Also, I've noticed that some of you guys have more talent than you may think. Who knows what kind of graphic artist could rise from your ranks. Ok, I finally got a version of the tutorial that Nadril used *that actually had images to go by*, and it REALLY helped. Here is my 4th, and by far the best, planet that I've done. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v426/zorlentrivar/uberplanet.jpg It's 1000x1000 pixels big, but I managed to keep the file size around 61 KBs for quick and painless loading :o Oh and Nadril, thanks for getting me comletely hooked on the planet making thing, now I have even less of a life than I used to

Ok, since I don't feel like starting a new thread so soon, here's another planet, my third so far. This one I'm surprised how it turned out. It is almost on par with Nadril's perfect one he used in his sig. It even has a meteor shower in it Yes I do know the meteors are pixelated. The image I found wasn't a very high quality one. First of all, before people go off about it being to plain, it's supposed to be that way. A "busy" wallpaper is just distracting. I made this because it can be calming when your handle on your temper is less than perfect, such as after you go through a few maps of CSS with a uber l33t average score ratio of like 1 and 5 after being headshotted right off the bat for almost every round of every map. If you think it's over reacting, try it out sometime. That'll teach you modesty. Oops, here I go ranting again. Here's the wallpaper. I have it in 3 sizes, a 1280x1024, 1024x768(the one shown) and a 800x600. It doesn't really matter though because it scales pretty well anyways. Also, as The title says, I made this a while ago, but this is the first time I've shown it off.

For the missing pictures, the pages don't have any images in them, so I have no clue what he's doing. Did your download give you images? About the file size, Just remember that some internet host sites have a file size limit. There would have been no way to get mmy image on Photobucket.com or imageshack when it was that huge. And besides, There wasn't any noticable image quality loss, so it's a fair trade for quick loading. To illistrate this, here are two images of the same planet. The one on top was saved as a 30% quality jpg and the bottom is a 100% quality jpg. The 30% http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v426/zorlentrivar/planet30.jpg And the 100% http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v426/zorlentrivar/planet100.jpg Can you see a difference? There is, but you really have to look to find it. Also, the 30% jpg is only 32 KBs while the 100% jpg is 193 KBs. As you can see, Lowering the quality of your saved images doesn't really do anything malignant to your images.

You didn't do much, but not much was needed. The star points are cool, but I like the more subtle colors of the source better than the harshness of the edited one. But it does look very good. Good Job DH

In the description it claims there's one online but when I followed the link, it took my to his site and when I found it there it said to download it off of Deviant Art. So, if you found it on the internet where you don't have to download it to view it, please give the link.

Yeah, I just found some generic textures from www.grsites.com which were made for websites. I used to know a much better one, I'll have to find it again. Also, I found the tutorial you used Nadril, but there's no images in it I have no clue as to what he's doing lol.

Thanks. By the way I didn't use the same tutorial that you used, and it was unrelated so I had to make up a lot of the stuff as I went. I'm not sure what you mean by distorted and stretchy though. It looks fine to me but again, not everyone has the same screen ratio/moniter. Maybe it's the fact that I went with a medium quality .jpg to keep the file size low (the quality setting was like 30%, went from 3+ Megs to 80 some odd KBs). But could you provide a direct link to the tutorial you used? It would be nice to truely know what I'm doing instead of making it up as I go.

What lack of movement in Morrowind and Neverwinter? In morrowind there's the Boots of Blinding Speed. You'll be zipping around with those, just make a spell or enchant something with 100% magicka resist for 2 seconds, equip the boots during that time and no blindness! For Neverwinter, Haste and items that grant it will solve the slowness factor, give you an extra attack per round AND make you harder to hit. There's always a solution for every problem, you just have to look hard enough. But anyways, if I get the money, I will probably pick up the game. There's no monthly fee so there's not much to lose.
