Thanks for so much info. I should have bee nmore clear in the order i did things. I tried the msconfig startup tab box to stop it from loading always. But it would reappear with anoth entry in the startup list. Same results using spybot tools system startup list which is great as it usually gives advice popups when you highlight stuff, but not this as it's new I guess.Finally I used add/remove to uninstall msn toolbar and file gone.

thanks for suggestions. i uninstalled that MSN toolbar from ms browser in pc2. will watch how pc1 does with it. yes i tried msconfig startyup list and unchecked it. it keeps putting another entry in there, insisting to run at bootup, even though under it's options i said no to participating in anonymous net use watch. tried spybot tools startup list and unchecked it there, still came back with additional entry later. what was odd was no where at microsoft or msn websites could anything be found about it.

firewall popped up recently, asking whether to allow the said file net access. i said ok. it seems related to update checking for msn tool bar 3rd party extension to ms exploere browser. concern is it loads at boot up. i can't find anyway to stop it from loading at bootup. is there ? is it neccessary ? it seems responsible for slight slow down of pc and net speed. only way so far found to get rid of it is removing ot from startup list with spyboy or msconfig. but it keeps coming back.

not a big deal to me ... but just stating opinion on what i've noticed by accident :wink: when practicing in empty server maps to explore good/bad spots and work at hard to get to spots, i've noticed and i'm sure i'm not the only one, , that capture points give a lot more skill rating points then kills. again, i agree as said on this to me before, stats should not be considered important. but it does add an additional challenge to work at. as i "think" i recall correctly, claymore carl was thanked for new equation few months ago. thanks carl. perhaps it was to encourage less defensive camping. i love realism of the game with team radio for recon help of team interaction as well as occaisional funnies and bloopers which add to fun if not overdone :wink: what i would do with equation is reduce capture point skill credits by multiplying that to (kills x k/d ratio) so that if no or few kills, captures mean little to skill rating. as well, if you get twice the deaths as kills, you rate less. but no big deal, just a thought :wink: it may look something like this : (kills x k/d ratio) x capture points taken . so if no kills, no cap credit :wink:

in case not noticed :wink: tigerhawk said it has crashed wit hthis map before. 1st time 4 me and it was interesting map. liked the fireworks

old fa server ip gone in week is mostly only used now at ip 67.18.3.226:27015 . the new fa server rarely used, i suspect because every time i enter it in steam favorites add server, find it and join it, it is not saved by steam and must be re-entered every time restarting steam ... anyway it is 67.19.74.42:27015 .

as said month ago when predicting fa will be favored over bfv by many until it gets team radio ... notice fa servers are busy, not bfv ... ventrillo has bfv team channels but they not used ... both teams on main bfv channel ... unless team switching when maps change can be stopped ... so ventrillo team channels useful ... players could change teams themselves if they wanted when map ended :wink: much fun of team interaction lost without team-only radio :roll:

furthermore ... i have had gamespy setup to login from both pcs for yrs ... as free member ... i logged in and found the 2 bfv map pack files ... but the fileplanet link denies access unless i pay to be paying member ... rrrrrrrrrr !! ... so you're using bfv custom map files that have to be paid for !! ... why not just put them in your own download folder ? until they put game radio in this game i certainly won't put more money out for this dissappointment

where can we'all get these maps ?

1st I hope cow (i leave out the god part for reasons that should be obvious) ... can forgive me and accept my apoligies for passing blame for worries. It was not me really, but again, too much booze talking, which with anyone will exaggerate in a drunk mind, seriousness of things. Not appropriate here, but i guess in closing the apoligy subject I'll explain me a bit... divorced with 3 boys now for 4 yrs ... tiger living with me for yr now ... 2 of my pcs here ... been many women in life that i learned were interested more in material gain then me, so too much booze and my job worries for her got me thinking too much ... Tiger having trouble getting good job, partly due to her severe nut allergy ... i miss that peanut butter but no big deal ... need to see her working/helping here to eliminate the thinking thing from past experiences ... she just became unemployed ... picked me up from work with MY truck which i set her up with to help her find/get to work ... she dropped me off wednesday night saying acquaintances from last job invited her to Boston Pizza up street around 9pm ... i said i was undecided as this 1st time but said ok take it to there but leave at 2am closing and be here by 2:15 so i not worry about her ... she returned at 4:15am :roll: hence the booze fueled over reacting ... we have agreed to see how no more then once/week goes and only during my 4-12 nightshift times, not when i "HOME ALONE" :roll: Ofcourse i wrote down mileage before and after and could confirm she left it parked at Boston while they walked and used cabs to bar hop ... we agreed this not healthy for any relationship and not to happen again ... just so you know Shultz won't "fly off the handle" for "small stuff" here atleast, preferably never. :? I will explain long story. Amazing for Shultz but here goes :roll: Tigerhawk and I are guilty of humoring god-cow many times when he verbalized or typed in game and forums, slanderous and sexually suggestive herassment comments at us. We just wanted to be fun to play with so "lol" 'd along. It was getting under our skin, especially Shultz, Tiger's guy. So anyone familiar with law would know we or I should have asked him to "water it down" like I should my drinks sometimes :wink: Once an "offending" person is notified, especially with witnesses, it is in their pest interest to refrain from further insults or slander. So god-cow, we are letting you know to stop with the sexual nonsense. It might have gone unmnetioned except using our clan tag was upsetting. Against presumed rules of TA. Request to TA to punish him with short ban and/or apply clan name filter which clan stats page says is possible, was responded by McGuyver as not possible, maybe stats should be shut off entirely. Then next day cod-cow is welcomed in TA clan. WOW. Then future work, etc, etc, made it appear too little time for 3 of us to keep Clan going. Sure it's played for fun. But for some of us the fun is seeing results of play in stats without ability of others to disrupt those stats :wink:

A change in circumstances has it appearing the 3 clan members may actually manage to put in required minimum time per 14 day period to keep clan alive. Though 28 days would be easier on some of us working family folks :wink:

if you must know...i have been practicing with the m79 i find it very easy to get kills with it so i will be ready for everything. you will find the name [TBT] god-cow in the stats because i use that name when i am spamming i can't wait to show you guys what it means to master the spam in only a way god-cow can :mrgreen: please do not use tbt clan tag as it drops the clan ranking that the 3 of us have fun trying to build up fro ma lot of hard work and time. as to fun match, none of us got password yet, anyone know about this ?

Why do y'all think fa made it unshootable when moving, and hte big machine guns ? Guys I know that are reasonable size, in army, say it sounds dum to have to stop to shoot so sniper get ya.

Like in the "real field", they are life-saving for front line troops that encounter well hidden enemies :wink:
