  1. LOL you want official, well go to the battlefield forums and just try to discuss the subject of rental servers. The moderators are now locking and hiding threads now. You are not aloud to even discuss the subject. 1 thread alone was well over 1500 post. Slow was even threaten whe he complained to EA about the actions. Here is my post on it: https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/34260/we-need-full-disclosure-of-this-game-now#latest
  2. The only official thing we have gotten so far is that DICE said there will be server rentals through them. The rest is just bits and pieces that have been put together. Unfortunatly we know very little with the game launching in just a few weeks.
  3. Gator put your glasses on a re-read my thread. LOL
  4. Very interesting. I am wondering about accuracy. The bullet doesn't appear to seat in the breach like a normal round. I could also see issues with the breach as well because of that. I would really like to know more on the testing when it goes down. It does sound promising.
  5. Here is what we know about BF1 servers so far. . 1. There will be servers you can rent 2. You will rent directly from EA. The servers will be hosted by Amazon, I3D, and Microsoft but you rent from EA. 3. You will have very little control. It is doubtful any type of rcon will be available. We know for a fact Procon won't work. The Procon staff have said so. 4. The servers will likely be VMs that can be spun up or shut down quickly which means reduced performance due to VM overhead 5. There will be no cost competition like we had for BF3 and BF4 servers. EA is monopolizing the servers so they can charge whatever they want. 6. The servers will likely be locked down with emphasis on play now match making. Except the configuration options to be limited. If you change too many settings your server may even become unranked. 7. No word on how to set admins for a server other than the server owner 8. No word on how kicking or banning will work (if you even can) 9. No word on anyway to run custom scripts or plugins. It is probably not possible. Especially since there probably won't be a rcon of any kind. It looks like all settings are on/off switches on a webpage. 10. No details have been released on if you can access the server directly in any way other than the simplified webpage interface that is limited to on / off switches. 11. "Soon" is longer than 1 week. We were told last weekend we'd hear about servers "Soon".
  6. He was never banned according to the logs this morning. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S7 using tapatalk
  7. In the server for a total of 33 minutes and gets kicked twice by auto admin. LOL We say be respectful. How is that word respectful? Don't be disrespectful in our server and our server won't kick you.
  8. My sincerest apologies that we haven't talked before yesterday regarding this concern from the community. Truthfully, I was head-down in the Beta for the beginning of the month, then took off for 6 days for my 1 year wedding anniversary. As soon as I landed, I was off to Sweden for a Live Stream setup. All of that doesn't really mean anything because, regardless, this discussion should have happened sooner. I'm a gamer. I've rented servers. I get where you are all coming from (for the most part. I never ran a huge clan.) I will continue to push to get information for you all as soon as possible. I'll even post every single day in this thread until I have something substantial to share with you - just to prove that I'm here and not abandoning you, and that I'm working with you, not against you. -Braddock512-

I'm not one to say one thing and mean another, so here it is: We are aware of the community's desire for more information regarding RSPs for Battlefield 1 and are working to roll out information as soon as possible. At this time, anything that has not come from Official EA/DICE channels should not be taken as fact. I'm currently working with the game team and other CMs to finalize messaging so we can share more details. Thanks. -Braddock512-
  10. Yes it is time for a new BATTLEFIELD game. I have loved playing BF4 but it is time to move on. Hopefully BF1 will answer all of our questions and have a smooth launch.

  12. Hacker group PoodleCorp declares open war against developer EA Games and vows to sabotage the first day of "Battlefield 1" on Oct 21. EA server is a huge draw in the ganing community but turns into apparent target by hackers. PoodleCorp tags along the hype and attention about upcoming release of "Battlefield 1" en route to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This group sends ultimatum across all channels including Twitter that the lone way to stop disruption is to retweet their post at least 2 thousand times. EA remains silent on their part although it admits that earlier server crash during beta testing was of hackers' doing. According to Mobile & Apps, PoodleCorp's notoriety was proven during multiple attack on Battle.net where gamers were denied of access Blizzard titles. The first-person shooter "Overwatch" suffered similar fate in August although there was no confirmation about hacker attack. This time around, "Battlefield 1" is the one threatened. To recall, there was an annoying incident in 2014 where PlayStation Network and Xbox Live suffered gravely because of hackers. Most of the complaints then was tough moments accessing popular titles. It was a group called Lizard Squad that claimed responsibility. Ironically, PoodleCorp said that their "Battlefield 1" antics is to be done with former members of Lizard Squad on their side. At any rate, "Battlefield 1" is not all negativity on today's menu. EA Games seems undisturbed with the event and unveils 9 maps plus 6 modes for the game instead. EA claims that they tried to make all the maps as historically-accurate as possible based on notable events during World War 1. Because these disclosures look more like teasers, Game Spot suspects that these maps and modes could be part of DLC later. Well, gamers could only wait until October since it is hard to put these "Battlefield 1" latest news and updates in better perspective. After all, even hardcore gamers themselves can't decide if PoodleCorp threat will outweigh the positive development from EA Games anyway.
  13. Ephiestis as DICE has put to everyone in the BF community, you will have to wait and see. We are going forth with our plans figuring that there will be servers and admin controls and hardcore. Until we know more that is all that we can do for now. Many have pre-ordered the game already. There is still some waiting for more info to be released. we have less then 4 weeks. About time for a countdown timer to be put up on the main page I think.

https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/32314/hardcore-mode#latest That is what we know.
  22. There are lots of people wanting answers to our questions. David Sirland from DICE LA and a simple answer.
  23. hmm interesting. I have that board and those macro keys just change my lighting. I will have to play with it.
  24. With Battlefield 2, 3 & 4 I never had a problem for premium. With BF4 we started with 10 maps, DLC premium got you 16 more for $50. Plus DICE has been good about give us free content to. We got a total of 33 maps. It is really like getting 2.5 to 3 games for $110. Compare that to COD where no one gets the DLC hardly and last time I checks it was $25 bucks and there is no free content so you wind up spending $160 for less content and after 6 months no one plays their games hardly. So I really feel EA/Dice does a good job with content for the dollar amount.

A discussion the other day how many maps at launch and will there be a single player campaign mode. This was what I found. You can see the full lists of confirmed maps and modes below. BF4 launched with 10 maps. Confirmed Maps Amiens -- a French city taken over by war between the British and Germans The St. Quentin Scar -- the trench-filled battlefields of Northern France Monte Grappa -- the Venetian Alps with cannon-equipped mountain forts that are fought over by the Austra Hungarian Empire and the Italian Army Empire's Edge -- the Adriatic coast with battleships Confirmed Modes Conquest -- a large-scale battle with up to 64 players fighting for objectives Domination -- smaller locations with objectives and an on-foot combat focus Operations -- a series of maps and rounds that are inter-connected by the matches' results UnConfirmed Maps List: MP_Amiens MP_Chateau MP_Desert MP_FaoFortress MP_Forest MP_Argonne MP_ItalianCoast MP_MountainFort MP_Scar MP_Suez UnConfirmed Game Modes: Airship Raid: 64 Operations: 40 Conquest: 64 Conquest Small: 40 Domination: 24 Possession: 24 Rush: 24 Team Death Match: 24 Operations Ambiguity surrounds this special game mode. However, it’s also not the first time that we’re hearing about it. Earlier leaks peg a single operation to feature multiple levels, of which each level has multiple map-areas. Additionally, it’s widely believed that teams will be divided into Attackers and Defenders for each level, similar to Rush. When one side succeeds in their objective, the battle shifts to the next area. Possession Luckily, the mode had an official description present alongside: “Find messenger pigeons and send messages to your supporting artillery to take out the enemies.” That is all the information present at hand. On the basis of pure speculation, it’s possible that a pigeon is spawned randomly in the map and both teams have to race each other in trying to apprehend the fowl first. The latter part about sending a message to your supporting artillery may have something to do with defending the pigeon while a message is etched. If the opposing team is unable to foil your messaging plans, the final burst of artillery announces the end of the round. Airship Raid It’s basically your Air Superiority mode renamed and will task players to destroy airships. That’s about all the information presently available for the mode. Perhaps there will be other tasks or objectives present that dictate victory.
