DICE explains how horses are going to work in Battlefield 1 multiplayer
Rideable animals come to Battlefield for the first time, here’s how they’re going to work. One of the many interesting facts about Battlefield 1 is how, for the first time, it brings horses to the game’s multiplayer. In a new blog post, DICE laid out how horses will play a unique role in the Battlefield formula, and how they can be used in close-quarters as well as from range. You can attack from horseback, either using your sword, or by trampling enemies in your way. You also have access to medium range rifles you can use to take out enemies from afar. Another thing you can throw from horseback are anti-vehicle grenades. You can drop ammo and med packs from the horse’s saddlebags, similar to how light tanks dispense ammo and bandages. Although horses are mainly designed for quick attacks, their health pool is not small, but they do make you a bigger target. You can spawn on one from the deployment screen or jump on any one you see unattended on the battlefield. DICE says a lot of time has been spent making them feel more like animals and less like motorcycles. For instance, when you approach the edge of a cliff on a horse, it will refuse to go over. This is just an example of how horses will be able to recognise their environments, going throw shallow water and not swimming, for instance. They will also try to avoid or jump over obstacles. Similar to the vehicle class, choosing to spawn on a horse will give you access to the cavalry class. Just like the recently revealed Elite Classes, horses will feature in the upcoming open beta for everyone to try out. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S7 using tapatalk

BETA August 31, 2016
UPDATED! Official Battlefield 1 Beta will be released on 31 August 'Call Of Duty' Killer 'Battlefield 1' Release Date: Public Beta Coming Out After Gamescom 13 August 2016, 8:10 am EDT By C. de Lacy Mobile & Apps http://www.mobilenapps.com/articles/16962/20160813/call-of-duty-battlefield-1-release-date-public-beta-gamescom.htm "Battlefield 1" will be released on October 21 on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4. ( BagoGames / Flickr ) The upcoming "Battlefield 1" will be available shortly after the Gamescom event and fans will finally be able to try out the game as early as August 21. EA wowed the crowd as they have presented "Battlefield 1" in this year's E3 last June, along with big titles like "Mass Effect Andromeda" and "FIFA 17." "Battlefield 1," however, took everybody's attention the greatest with its gameplay trailer and the public beta announcement. In the last EA Play 2016 conference, the company made the official announcement about the open beta that will be made available this summer. As reported by PC Advisor, an official Twitch livestream indicated that the beta will be made available shortly after Gamescom, which is up until August 21. Fans can now go to the official "Battlefield 1" website and register as a "Battlefield Insider." This allows registered users to be early access testers, which will also warrant exclusive in-game rewards, contents and news about Battlefield. Aside from the upcoming release of the public beta, DICE also released a new trailer about how "Battlefield 1" returns to its roots with the classic plane and tank warfare. The game will sport tanks and is emphasized by muliplayer producer Andreas Morell." We want it to be big, physical, brutal beast that essentially dominates the battlefield and you should be scared of it." On top of it, a variety of warplanes will also be thrown in the mix that will give players dozens of strategical advantages with each type. "Battlefield 1" is scheduled to be released this coming October 21 for the PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One. Xbox One owners get early access however, on October 13 as a full game and not in its public beta state.

A new Battlefield™ user interface is being introduced
The impetus behind the decision is to make it easier for fans of the titles to create parties of friends and move in between Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, and Battlefield Hardline. What this basically means is that players will be able generate squads from the UI before joining a match, which will then allow one to choose any Battlefield game that all of the players in the party own to jump into and swap between. Furthermore, Electronic Arts also says that the UI will offer up suggestions for maps and modes by way of a “recommendation engine” that might be of interest to fans of Battlefield 4, Hardline, or the upcoming shooter set during World War I. According to Electronic Arts, the unified UI will initially apply only to Battlefield 4, but once Battlefield 1 drops on October 21, it will be updated to accommodate the new game. Hardline, however, will get support later on down the road, but the publisher hasn’t offered specifics as to exactly when that will occur. battlefield-1-unified-ui-ps4-xbox-one-zeppelin The news comes from DICE and Electronic Arts emails to players who are signed up for the Battlefield newsletter, and the companies assert that in order for the unified UI aspect to work properly, mandatory updates will be required. Once applied, the feature ought to benefit fans who own all of the titles digitally, as it will be much faster to switch in between the gameplay of modern automatic guns to Battlefield 1‘s stripped down weapons without having to swap out discs.

Low ping VS High ping benefits & Dynamics
The client does the lag compensation in the form of player movement "prediction" (read guessing) between authoritative updates from the server. The client renders on screen "WHAT IT THINKS OTHER PLAYERS ARE GOING TO DO". The Server sends the real info and the client updates those "guesses/predictions" with real positions. So you see a guy running and you shoot. Until you get the next update from the server about that player you have know idea what he/she really did. He/she could've stopped running, turned left/right, jumped, gone prone, fired at you, thrown a grenade. Your ping 30ms Opponent ping 300ms Tickrate 60Hz (60 updates a sec. 1 every 16.66ms) Opponent sends update to server (150ms travel time to server), server process the update, server updates the gamestate, server sends update to you on next predetermined tick (one every 16.66ms), packet gets to you after 15ms. . Compound the issue with the opponent playing with an FPS below the tickrate and there's an added damage delay. This ends with death/hits around corners, bundled damage (multiple hits bundled in a single packet) and so forth. Damage data is sent at the hertz rate of your FPS. 122FPS = 122Hz etc and so forth. . Parallel lines have 0 lag causality. You or I could have a 900 ping and I'll hit you every time if you run in a straight line away from or towards me. Lag compensation removes the ping handicap....how it's implemented makes a huge difference to a players experience.

Logitech G933 review: This wireless headset is so good, you can skip its high-end competition
This is the headset I use. Best headset I have ever used. Here is an article the was just recently published. http://www.pcworld.com/article/3088865/hardware/logitech-g933-review-this-wireless-headset-is-so-good-you-can-skip-its-high-end-competition.html Logitech G933 review: This wireless headset is so good, you can skip its high-end competition If you can't stomach the price tags for the Astro A50 and SteelSeries Siberia 800, Logitech has you covered. AT A GLANCE Logitech G933 Wireless PCWORLD RATING $139.99 MSRP $200 on Amazon The Logitech G933 would be a pretty good headset at its list price of $200. At its pretty-much-permanent sale price of $150 to $180, it’s probably the best price-to-performance ratio you can get for a... 1COMMENT Hayden Dingman | @haydencd Games reporter, PCWorld Jul 29, 2016 2:00 PM Logitech has been pushing hard to win back the gaming crowd in recent years—and I’ll be damned if the G933 isn’t one of their best shows yet. How good? Well, I’d probably save a $100 (or more) and take this headset over our long-standing high-end recommendation of the Astro A50 and the SteelSeries Siberia 800, barring a few exceptions. Indeed the G933 can currently be found on Amazon for well below its MSRP. Modern looks As an update to Logitech’s G930, the G933 sports a familiar look. It’s got the same bulky air traffic control heft, the same coffin-shaped earcups instead of traditional round ones. It’s easily identifiable as the heir to Logitech’s old gaming headset. Nevertheless, the G933’s been prettied up. Logitech has added RGB lighting, of course. Like the rest of the company’s modern lineup, the G933 sports full 16.8 million color profiles for the strips of lighting on the rear of each ear and the lit-up logos on the facing sides. Sure, it’s pointless. But it looks good, and Logitech continues to offer some of the best lighting in the industry. But illumination aside, the G933 is simply a sleeker headset. The G930’s ears were particularly ugly, a flat slab of matte-finish plastic saddled with the old, very-corporate Logitech logo and some chunky controls. The G933 ditches that enterprise look, and instead features a less obtrusive logo (and logo placement), as well as some decorative accents that give it a lighter aesthetic. Some of it’s strange and a bit overdone—like a scattering of decorative triangle shapes inside the headband—but for the most part, these changes help the G933 look more like a modern headset and less like a relic of the ’90s. The G933 also moves its buttons to the rear of the headset, which helps with its clean, uncluttered look. All controls sit along the back of the left ear, and each has a unique shape for easier memorization if that’s your thing. You can control the power via a switch, toggle the EQ setting, turn surround sound on or off, cycle the lighting effect, mute the microphone, and adjust the volume. You can also reprogram the three “G” keys in the middle (labeled G1, G2, and G3) with a ton of other preset commands—or entire macros, if you prefer. Also on the left ear is the microphone, though you might miss it at first glance. It retracts and folds directly into the earcup, making it practically invisible—but then folds down like a normal boom microphone and extends out so you can bend it towards your mouth. The design is a gorgeous bit of engineering, albeit pretty useless. With headsets that I can use as decent street headphones, like the Polk Striker Pro, having a detachable or foldable microphone is useful. The G933 is so bulky, though, that I doubt I’d wear it away from my computer. The microphone style speaks to Logitech’s ingenuity more than practical application. A more useful design aspect is convenient storage of the USB dongle, given that I’ve misplaced wireless dongles in the past. You just pop off the plastic plate on the left ear cup. The right plate also pops off, in case you want to replace the G933’s battery in the future. Rounding out the design, the bottom of the left ear has a micro USB charging port and a 3.5mm analog jack. You can use the latter to plug the G933 into a phone, gamepad, or whatever—no battery required, though you’ll lose out on the lighting. But again, I wouldn’t wear these on the street. They’re big and goofy, despite Logitech’s improvements. My one and only problem with the G933, and a reason for some of you to stay away: It’s tight. The fit gets better the longer I wear it, but this headset still tends to vice-grip my head and leave me sore after a few hours of use. Corsair’s Void Wireless slips around more, but feels more comfortable—as does the Astro A50, if you’re willing to stomach the jump in price. Bone rattlers The G933 certainly sounds good, though. Running the default “Flat” stereo setting, it’s a moderately bright, punchy headset. I could do with a bit more low-end—and I did adjust that immediately by utilizing the “Drop the Bass” (eye-roll) EQ setting, and then tweaking from there. But the G933 is a solid setup. The oversize ear cups give audio plenty of room to breathe in both gaming and non-gaming environments. Music sounds surprisingly good, too, though I’d still give the edge to the Astro A50 or HyperX Cloud (or any number of actualheadphones). Like most headset manufacturers these days, Logitech touts G933’s 7.1 capabilities. I’ll give them this: The G933 has better simulated surround sound than most. Unlike some notable competitors (I’m looking at you, Corsair), enabling surround doesn’t ruin the G933’s sound. There’s little noticeable distortion, and in some games (Battlefield, for instance), it even does a serviceable job emulating surround. But those moments are few and far between, and even a “pretty good” implementation of surround sound in a headset doesn’t really measure up to even the weakest of real-world, multi-speaker setups. I ended up leaving the setting off most of the time, because it either added very little or actively detracted from what I was listening to: for instance, muddling sounds together and creating a jumble of noises or hollowing out the center channel. The G933 in stereo is good enough as is. The G933’s microphone’s frequency response is decent, but this mic is more sensitive than most at picking up background noise. Every creak of my chair registered loud and clear, and my voice had a noticeable amount of hiss behind it—possibly from the microphone picking up the sound of my computer’s fans. So it’ll work, but maybe consider using push-to-talk so you don’t annoy your teammates. As for range, I was able to get the usual 10 meters away from the dongle before audio dropped, even in my high-interference apartment. I did however notice that after the sound cut out and I moved back towards my PC, it took longer to find a signal than other headsets. Battery life is a bit disappointing—if only because I just experienced that of the Corsair Void Wireless and Razer Man O’ War. My usage averaged around eight hours before needing a recharge. While this is better than most wireless headsets, it pales in comparison to the 12-plus hours you’ll get with the Man O’ War and Void Wireless. Two final side notes: Logitech has fixed some early issues with the G933, so feel safe to ignore these points if you hear about them. First, you can now change how long the G933 idles before turning off. And second, the headset no longer thinks “50 percent battery” constitutes “Low,” and thus won’t commence beeping at you every two minutes for four hours. Those constituted my biggest complaints, and have been resolved by a firmware update. Bottom line The Logitech G933 would be a pretty good headset at its list price of $200. At its pretty-much-permanent sale price of $150 to $180, it’s probably the best price-to-performance ratio you’ll find, as wireless headsets go. Sure, the Astro A50, SteelSeries Siberia 800, and the rest of the very high-end wireless headsets nail a few particulars better than Logitech—but they’re also twice as expensive. The G933 is good enough that most users won’t even notice a difference, and priced reasonably for a wireless headset. You can burn the money you’ll save on a Steam Sale. Headphones AT A GLANCE Logitech G933 Wireless PCWORLD RATING $139.99 MSRP $200 VIEW on Amazon The Logitech G933 would be a pretty good headset at its list price of $200. At its pretty-much-permanent sale price of $150 to $180, it’s probably the best price-to-performance ratio you can get for a wireless headset right now. Pros Rear buttons are intuitive and useful Boom mic is invisible when stored Capable sound Cons Microphone picks up every background noise Fits a bit tight Battery life is good, but still shorter than the competition's

A new Battlefield™ user interface is being introduced
Dear Battlefield 4 player, An important change is coming to your Battlefield 4 experience for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this summer. A new Battlefield user interface is being introduced to provide a more intuitive and centralized experience for all your Battlefield games. Changes include: • Functionality for squad creation before you enter a match • A recommendation engine to suggest relevant maps, modes, and more • Unified UI so you can swap between all your Battlefield games from the UI (as long as you own them) MANDATORY CONTENT UPDATES REQUIRED TO PLAY BATTLEFIELD 4 GAMES. CONTENT UPDATES AND DOWNLOADS MAY INCUR BANDWIDTH USAGE CHARGES. https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/new-battlefield-ui?utm_campaign=bf4_hd_ww_ne_eml_esp_new-battlefield-ui&utm_source=email&utm_medium=email&cid=9636&ts=1469763311033&utm_medium=email&utm_source=arm&utm_campaign=BF_HD_WW_NE_EML_ESP_BF4_SPARTA_LEGAL_NOTICE&Title=BF_HD_WW_NE_EML_ESP_BF4_SPARTA_LEGAL_NOTICE&Country=US&Team=gem&Platform=arm&Campaign=na-BF_HD_WW_NE_EML_ESP_BF4_SPARTA_LEGAL_NOTICE-bfin Introducing A New Way To Play Battlefield, Starting With Battlefield 4 Try out the new Battlefield user interface, designed to improve the experience of playing with friends. ByDan Mitre We're always looking for new ways to improve your Battlefield experience. While we're currently hard at work creating Battlefield 1, we still want to improve the experience for past Battlefield games – changes that will help unite Battlefield players regardless of whether they're playing Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, orBattlefield 1 in October. That's why we're happy to introduce something that will provide a more intuitive and centralized experience. The new Battlefield user interface is designed to improve the experience of playing with friends and to bring relevant content to your attention. Now, you're able to create a Squad before you actually enter into a game. Being able to join up with your friends and join into a game together makes it a much smoother experience, and helps make sure you're able to spawn on your buddies as soon as you're in the game. There are other changes as well that you'll want to see for yourself, like a recommendation engine to suggest maps, modes, and more, giving you a more relevant and fine-tuned experience that quickly gets you to the things you want to do. This new UI is currently rolling out in beta form in Battlefield 4 for a small audience, and we’ll have more information on additional testing opportunities in the coming months. This will also be released withBattlefield 1 (and Battlefield Hardline soon after that). Once it's rolled out for all three games, you'll be able to easily swap between the games as long as you own them. Want to jump from St. Quentin Scar in Battlefield 1to the skyscrapers of Shanghai in Battlefield 4? It'll be easier than ever. Let us know what you think, and stay tuned for more updates as we approach the release of Battlefield 1 on October 21!

Battlefield 1 Open Beta Release Window Revealed, Insiders Get Early Access
Battlefield 1 closed alpha is currently going on, and will end on July 19th, 2016. There are many fans who got to play the game, while others are waiting desperately for Battlefield 1 open beta to start. Well DICE has revealed the starting window for Battlefield 1 open beta. In a Twitch Live stream session, Battlefield German community manager revealed that Battlefield 1 open beta will start shortly after Gamescom 2016. This means the open beta for Battlefield 1 will either start at the end of August or the start of September 2016, as the Gamescom 2016 will take place from August 17 to 21. Not only this, the community manger also revealed that the insiders will get access to Battlefield 1 open beta 3 days before anyone else. Battlefield 1 is changing a lot of things in the franchise, like going back to the World War 1 setting. Also DICE has introduced Warbonds to Battlefield 1, which are the in-game currency weapons, skins and other accessories. The Warbonds will be awarded to players with each level up, like in the closed alpha if you level up to second rank, the player will get 60 Warbonds. Battlefield 1 might also feature a Pigeon mode, which will function as a kind of Capture the Flag mode. Pigeons were a means of sending messages during World War 1, and given their role it will not be surprising that DICE has created a capture the flag mode out of them. Recently a Redditor data mined the Battlefield 1 closed alpha’s files, and found out that Battlefield 1 will feature 10 multiplayer maps at launch. The number of maps at launch is on par with Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. The names of Battlefield 1 multiplayer maps are below. Amiens. Chateau. Desert. FaoFortress. Forest. Argonne. ItalianCoast. MountainFort. Scar. Suez. Battlefield 1 is scheduled to release on October 21, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, fans can play the game on October 18 through EA Access. Battlefield 1 Alpha Impressions: The Good and Bad
By Kevin Dunsmore on July 20, 2016 http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2016/07/20/battlefield-1-alpha-impressions-the-good-and-bad/216588/ 2016 is flying by. It is now July and only three months out from the release of Battlefield 1. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the next entry in the Battlefield series from Dice, arriving nearly three years after the release of Battlefield 4. The developer is hard at work trying to ensure what happened to Battlefield 4 does not happen to Battlefield 1. To do this, Dice is conducting a number of Alphas and Betas to test the game and servers. We at Hardcore Gamer have spent an extensive amount of time playing through the Alpha and can say that Battlefield 1 is on track to meet the high standards set by its predecessors, albeit with a few hiccups. For more information on the different classes, the map (St. Quentin’s Scar), and the new customization system, be sure to check out our E3 2016 preview. The Good Despite a dramatic jump back in time, Battlefield 1 still feels like a Battlefield game. Combat here is just as fast as previous entries with Dice stretching historical accuracy for the sake of fun. The weapons available here were used during World War I though many, like the sub-machine guns, was not introduced till towards the end of the war. The majority of the fighting utilized bolt-action rifles, which are all used by the Scout class. It’s an interesting trade-off, but one that ends up working in Battlefield 1’s favor. The game will never be as hardcore as Verdun or Red Orchestra (which is actually set during World War II), but it remains entertaining. This is also the first Battlefield game where every class feels unique. Assault gets sub-machine guns and shotguns, which make them fantastic at close-range; Medics get semi-automatic rifles that are excellent at medium range; Support gets light-machine guns that pack a punch from a distance and when in prone; and Scouts get bolt-action-rifles capable of slaying enemies from a distance. Each class has a strength and a weakness. Assault may dominate in close encounters, but will do minimal damage at a distance. The Medic may be able to deal excellent damage and heal allies, but will typically always lose a close-quarters or long-range battle. This new system is a welcome change from Battlefield 4, a game where the Assault class dominated with its assault rifles and medic capabilities, and where every class had access to carbines. There’s also a big embrace of Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s mechanics in Battlefield 1. Real destruction is back, replacing the scripted Levolution moments from Battlefield 4 and Hardline. Buildings and structures can be completely leveled, and the earth cratered. Destruction was always fun in Bad Company 2, instantly creating new ways to play with an explosive device, and the same is true for Battlefield 1. Now, not everything is destructible. Certain structures and scene dressing can’t be destroyed, but that’s fine considering just how much is destructible. This is the most destruction Battlefield fans have gotten since 2010, and it’s some impressive work. The Bad Battlefield 1 is in an alpha state, but there are some pretty big and minor concerns. The game currently has issues finding and connecting to games. Once inside, it isn’t uncommon to see a few server issues here and there. This wouldn’t be a problem for most game’s alpha tests, but this is the ‘sequel’ to Battlefield 4, a game with one of the most broken launches in video game history. Dice has three months to fix it, and considering that Star Wars Battlefront launched without any server issues, Dice should be in the clear. There are also a few UI issues to nitpick. There’s huge input delay when pausing the game and scrolling through the different options. It’s inconvenient when trying to play around in the options, or leave a game (the ability to quit a match once it completes hasn’t been implemented yet). This will likely be fixed in the final build, as will a few graphical issues. The real gameplay problems begin to pop up in the alpha’s Conquest mode. A long time staple of the franchise, Conquest has always been the go-to mode for Battlefield. Unfortunately, it can be a drag at times in Battlefield 1. The issue here is the spawning system, which is completely erratic. Sometimes, it will spawn you right where you want, and other times it spawns you so far away from the selected objective that Conquest turns into a sprint to the objective. Some of the spawns don’t even make sense logically. A spawn at B ended up spawning the character closer to objective D. It makes no sense, and quickly leads to frustration as you spend copious amounts of time running to the objective you wanted to spawn in, and then quickly dying the moment you get there. This was likely done to give attackers a fair shot at capturing the point but ultimately makes little sense. Testing in Battlefield 4 reveals that this feature is not present, and attackers were still able to capture the objective despite defenders spawning nearby. It’s, ultimately, a feature that’s more frustrating then it is helpful. Dice’s embrace of fun over historical accuracy does have limits, especially when applied to the vehicles. While the tanks of Battlefield 1 look very much like they were pulled out of World War I, they end up handling like their modern day counter-parts. Big and clunky, these tanks should be a bit more cumbersome and awkward to move. An excellent tank player can easily go on a multi-kill rampage, and even a novice player can rack up a respectable amount of kills. Vehicles do feel overpowered in the alpha, but there is a reason. In this version, there are only a few surefire ways to deal damage to tanks. The Assault class’ rocket gun and anti-tank grenade are great tools, but they aren’t enough. The anti-tank grenades are good but require Assault to risk annihilation to get close enough. The rocket gun is like an RPG, but due to its heftiness, can only be used with a bipod when prone or propped up against the window. There are also anti-light tank grenades for all classes, and anti-vehicle bullets for Scouts, but neither deals much damage. So yes, tanks do feel a bit overpowered in this version of Battlefield 1. However, there is a bright side. As an alpha, much of the game’s content is locked, including numerous anti-vehicle gadgets. Powerful tools like dynamite (Battlefield 1’s version of C4) are likely to tip tanks back towards the middle. This is something we likely won’t be able to assess until the open beta where more maps, game modes, weapons, and gadgets will likely be unlocked. Battlefield 1 is three months off and the alpha shows great promise. The class balancing is the best the series has had since Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Each has a unique playstyle that makes each viable in combat. It’s still a Battlefield game and that intense feeling of watching the map crumble as 64-players battle is something you can’t get anywhere else. As an alpha, though, Battlefield 1 still has some problems. Server issues are rampant, but the experience continues to improve each day the alpha has been out. A few gameplay issues mar Battlefield 1, but the experience has, overall, been enjoyable. We won’t have to wait long to see how the final product turns out. Battlefield 1 is out October 21 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Those who purchase the $80 Early Enlister Edition will get the game on October 18, three days earlier. An open beta is scheduled for some time later this year.

Battlefield 1' Alpha Netcode Analysis Suggests Better Multiplayer Launch Than 'Battlefield 4
"Battlefield 1" multiplayer seems like it will be better on day one than "Battlefield 4" according to a recent netcode analysis. While the game is still unoptimized, alpha signs show that DICE continues to take connectivity seriously. The news comes to Design & Trend via Battle(non)sense on YouTube. Thanks to his expert analysis and explanation of what it takes to make online gameplay, successful, we can see how the situation is progressing for "Battlefield 1." Because the new title no longer has to be held to the 30 Hz online restrictions of PS3 and Xbox 360, "Battlefield 1" supports full 60 Hz servers across the board regardless of platform. This means that every server should react faster to the action on screen. A maximum of 16 milliseconds between each tick is required to keep gameplay optimal, and "Battlefield 1's" longest tick took just 11 ms to finish. The current build of "Battlefield 4" finished a full-server tick around the same time. Even on unfinished code, that's a promising sign for the future. It's also worth noting that "Battlefield 1" alpha matches send about 48 percent more bandwidth to the server than its predecessor. That may sound like a bad statistic at face value, but it's important to note that sometimes more data can equate to better multiplayer performance overall. Because the servers are ticking twice as fast, it makes sense that a greater amount of information would be sent over time. What's not quite as positive, however, are "Battlefield 1's" net lag calculations. Its longest lag was recorded at 103 ms with an average of 78. That's about a 20 percent increase from a "Battlefield 4" server under similar conditions. That being said, there are a few caveats to note here. The 60 Hz tick rate of "Battlefield 1" can partially alleviate this shortcoming. The new netcode is also far from optimized, so major improvements could theoretically be made before the game releases. "Battlefield 1" is in the midst of a closed alpha test and will enter the beta phase soon. When that day arrives, an updated build of the netcode will be available to paint an even clearer picture of what "Battlefield 1's" launch will look like. While the alpha isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, it's evident that DICE is working hard to avoid the pitfalls of "Battlefield 4." Even in an unfinished state, "Battlefield 1" holds up pretty well against its heavily polished predecessor. "Battlefield 1" comes to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Oct. 21.

Video: Star Trek Television Logo and First Look Teaser Revealed
Primewire.ag for free! I can't wait. I like me some scifi uhm hum NETFLIX WILL STREAM EVERY 'STAR TREK' SERIES, INCLUDING THE NEW ONE SOME RESTRICTIONS APPLY... By G. Clay Whittaker 1 hour ago CBS/Star Trek The original Star Trek television series, which premiered in 1966, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Netflix users worldwide will be able to boldly binge where few have ever binged before. By the end of the year, over 700 episodes of all previous Star Trek series will be available worldwide, on Netflix, for streaming. CBS's hotly-anticipated new Star Trek TV series, due out in January 2017, will make new episodes available for streaming on Netflix within 24 hours of their debut, too — except to viewers in the U.S. and Canada. However, U.S. and Canadian users will have to go through CBS or Crackle, respectively, to see episodes from the new series. We're sure they'll eventually land on Netflix, but first CBS wants a cut of the action. You can't really blame it. After 50 years of programming and 727 episodes (basically a 14-episode season a year for the last five decades), the broadcaster has a proven franchise. But if you don't want to pay for CBS All Access, just start your multi-month binge with the original series. By the time you're caught up the first seasons should be well past finished. http://www.popsci.com/netflix-will-stream-new-star-trek-series-worldwide

'Battlefield 1' Release Date, News & Update: New 90-Minute Closed Alpha Gameplay Shown; Campaign And
In the wake of hugely positive response to gameplay videos and trailers, it looks like the risk that EA took in making "Battlefield 1" a World War I title has paid off. Now, just around three months before its release date, we get a closer look at "Battlefield 1" through new leaks and a brand-new video. A big data leak by redditor /u/Lobix300 has shown new information taken from the "Battlefield 1" closed alpha. The information that Lobix300 has gathered shows that the single-player campaign will consist of 7 episodes, each divided into chapters. There will be 20 chapters in all. The leak also revealed what may be some of the names of the main characters in the "Battlefield 1" campaign. A possibly incomplete list includes Pritchard, McManus, Finch, Townsend, and Edwards. https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_one/comments/4qu1pm/maxi_leak_by_the_big_lobix300/ "Battlefield 1" will also feature 30 different World War I weapons, such as the Lee Enfield Mk III SMLE, the Baretta M1915, the Winchester M1895, and others. The leak also showed several gadgets and a variety of melee weapons that players will get to use. "Battlefield 1" will be shipping with 10 multiplayer maps, with their internal names revealed such as "MP_Suez," "MP_MountainFort," and "MP_Argonne." There will also be 8 game modes, including Breakthrough, Rush, Conquest, Team Deathmatch, and Behemoth. The last mode may be related to the behemoth vehicles, such as the airship, that are being introduced to the game, Eurogamer also showed a 45-minute gameplay video from the "Battlefield 1" Closed Alpha, which came hot on the heels of EA changing their minds about the NDA they put on coverage of the alpha. Meanwhile, DICE engineer Julian Manolov has indicated that the dev team is aiming for "Battlefield 1" to have a 60Hz server tickrate, though it might not happen on launch. The Closed Alpha currently runs at 60Hz on PC and 30Hz on consoles. Manolov also confirmed that the console versions of the game will sport a FOV slider. "Battlefield 1" is being released on October 21 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. http://www.gamenguide.com/articles/32642/20160711/battlefield-1-release-date-news-update-new-90-minute-closed-alpha-gameplay-shown-campaign-and-multiplayer-details-leaked.htm https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_one/comments/4qu1pm/maxi_leak_by_the_big_lobix300/ HI, WITH MY LOVE [JV]spitart14, I FOUND THIS !
