  3. He still is, I just checked his twitter feed. He was bragging yesterday how Official Hardcore mode is up and running. I asked him if that means custom server that does not show up in broken server browser then yes it is.
  4. Everyone incldung some of the magazines have complaints. Some are even calling the RSP program a beta. It is the bad currently. Good new all will be fixed ........ "SOON" Please keep up the comments on the battlefield forums about all our issues. Tell your friends to. If Gator does not beat me to it, I will try to send out a mass email to all forum members tonight letting them know. As it stands right now, we just can not have a hardcore mode server. Unless you know the name of our server, you can not find our server. Once you make it regular mode, it fillls up alomost instantly. Better to play shitty softcore mode the wait for 20 players to try and find our server with hardcore settings. It did not work yesterday. When you looked up our server, mind you, I was looking for CONQUEST, NORTH AMERICA only and used the word hardcore. I could not find it. What I did find was every game mode type and every country. The server browser is broken along with majority of the game. My guess is, it will take 3 to 6 months to fix all these issues. Less if we bitch on the battlefield forums more, more if we don't. So everyone please go and state your bitches so we can get this game fixed "SOON" BTW Europe has no more room for server rentals currently. The program is just that bad right now. Other complaints and not by us, are servers are getting moved with out admin knowledge.
  5. What I hate is not being able to spawn on the squad leader and then when you can 5 enemy soldiers spawn too. The spawning on this game is very lousy.

Be carefull with that language. They will ban you. Anyways, give them your complaints and grievances please. They need to know as a community what we want and what we expect. I have already post in there and I let them know what I really think of this joke beta they sold as a game. The first post really nails it on the head.
  8. Play the hardcore. We did testing last night and I can not wait to play it tonight. Snipers are not quite as bad. What is nice is now you actually stand a chance at killing them when they are 100 yards out.

By the way, please notice how easy it is to post a video of your game play showing yourself with your hands and the game screen and controller (keyboard if used). Hmm might be a good idea for use with ban appeals. Call me crazy. Anyways, he shows the controller advantage. Aiming with just one hand on a controller.

Like what we already knew but just as a reminder: * Bad server locations. * Lacking RCON * Exclude the server from matchmaking * Join my own server if its full * Enable whitelist/blacklist for the server * Kick/ban players * View the actual server name from within the game when im playing * Access to any admin commands when I am connected to the server * Restart the round * Make changes to the server after its purchased and actually see them applied * Turn Off aim assist * Too High Ping >30 latency servers pls * No Clan support * Only 6 maps in rotation

  12. We’re excited to share with you the Battlefield 1 Fall Update. The below changes are for all platforms unless specifically noted. You can view the notes below, or review them via PDF here. General: OPERATIONS CHANGES: Going forward we are addressing the balance issues with the Operations game mode. It’s clear that attackers need a boost. To increase the effectiveness of the attacking team, we are increasing the overall tickets for both Operations & Grand Operations. In addition, we are also making it somewhat easier to capture sectors as an attacker by reducing the amount of time it takes to capture a flags in Operations & Grand Operations. We’ve also increased the minimum tickets regained in grand operations to from 30 to 50, as well as increased the amount of tickets regained from killing retreating defenders. This will give more of a fighting chance to capture the next sector after previously capturing a sector while having very few tickets left. 64 player Increase attacker maximum tickets from 150 to 250 Increased the amount of tickets regained from killing retreating defenders after capturing a sector from 2 to 3. Increased the amount of minimum ticket regained when capturing a sector in 64p Operations from 30 to 50. Slightly reduced the time it takes to capture flags. 40 player Increase attacker maximum tickets to 200 from 150 Increased the amount of tickets regained from killing retreating defenders after capturing a sector from 2 to 3. Slightly reduced the time it takes to capture flags. CONQUEST CHANGES: We’ve listened to your feedback in regards to the Suez Conquest layout in regards to balance. We will be adding two more flags to the layout, this should result in one team not being able to capture and lock down all flags as easy as before. In addition, we also noticed that it was very difficult to re-capture flags within the capture areas located in the village areas. To solve this we’ve reduced the capture size of these areas to include less buildings. The result of this should make the flags somewhat easier to capture and make sure that a team that has lost and been pushed out of the villages can easier re-capture them and get back into the fight. In addition, to help a team that has been pushed back all the way to their HQ, we’ve added an armored car that players can use to break out of the HQ and flank the opposing team. Added two additional flags on the Suez map, giving it a total of 5 flags. Added 1 armored car for either team to spawn in their HQ. Reduced the size of the capture volumes on the flags located in the villages, old A & B flag. This is to reduce the amount of building interiors located within the capture area. The change should result in the flags being easier to capture. http://i.imgur.com/nqTsYm5.png You can customize your soldier from within the UI by selecting either the icon on Home or on Soldier If the squad leader ignores requests for orders the leadership is transferred to another member of the squad. When a squad member requests an order (and there is no active squad order), the requesting player is added to the want-to-be-leader queue for that squad and a 60 seconds timer starts (the timer is not reset if there are other squad members waiting in the queue already). When the 60 seconds pass, the first member in the squad queue (the one who requested order earliest) is promoted as a squad leader. If there are other members in the queue after him, the timer is automatically reset to 60 seconds and if the new leader doesn't give orders over that period either, then the next waiting in line is promoted and so on. If the current squad leader issues an order, then the queue for the squad is cleared. Equal weather in Rush. Increased LMG and SLR bullet suppression at medium range. Increased aimed accuracy of support machine guns. Decreased Lewis first shot recoil multiplier. Decreased Huot first shot recoil multiplier. Increased BAR M1918 horizontal recoil. Low Weight machine guns now also gain accuracy faster during fire. Added bipods to Low Weight LMGs. Reduced effect of recoil direction slightly and made it scale correctly with recoil modifiers like bipods. Adjusted accuracy values of SMGs and LMGs in customize to better represent differences. Hellriegel now overheats a little bit slower and has increased horizontal recoil. Slightly reduced Mle 1903 reload time. Reduced deploy time of Mle 1903 and Repetierpistole M1912 and sped up the deploy animation for a higher energy feeling. Slightly reduced the rate of fire of the Russian 1895 Infantry and Sniper and made the time when you can fire again more readable. Changed damage multipliers for buckshot to be more consistent. This will eliminate some unintentionally high and unintentionally low damage hits. Gadget Balance Limpet Mines are now indestructible until they detonate. This prevents other players from “stealing” the Limpet Mine with explosives. The Limpet Mine is intended to be timed detonation only. Increased number of magazines for gas and incendiary Tripwire Bombs to 2 to make them more attractive over HE Tripwire Bombs. Mortars have had a balance pass. Players now have to pick more clearly between slow, accurate fire, and rapid, inaccurate fire. Mortars now require a time after deploy before they are fully accurate. Increased the inaccuracy penalty for firing multiple mortar rounds quickly. Reduced the max damage radius of Support Airburst mortars. Mortars will need to land closer to do their full 65 damage. The minimap targeting function of Mortars now shows the current accuracy level of the strike. The red dot only appears when the strike is at maximum accuracy Both Support Mortars can now fire 2 smoke rounds in addition to their default round. A Hint has been added to explain the feature. The HE Mortar now correctly has the same range as the Airburst Mortar. Rifle grenades have a delay after firing. Frag: Decreased time until explosion after collision from 1.1 s to 0.7 s Added minimum time of 1.0 s before it can explode after firing Reduced collision speed multiplier from 0.15 to 0.12 to make it bounce a bit less HE: Reduced blast radius from 7 m to 6 m Increased minimum time before explosion after firing from 0.3 s to 0.75 s BUG FIXES Weapons Removed the delay before being able to fire primary or secondary again after deploying a gadget or throwing a grenade. Fix for pickaxe clipping through the hand. The distance scale in the Trench Periscope is now visible again. Corrected velocities of Rifle Grenades when using the Autoloading 8 Marksman. Fixed so only the player who placed the mortar can use it. Fixed the Mortar sometimes deploying inside objects. Made the Mortar and Trench Shield easier to deploy. Fixed issue where players using Toggle Zoom could get stuck when using the AT Rocket Gun or Tankgewehr. Increased the time required to draw and keep out your melee weapon after an attack. This avoids players accidentally ending up with an active melee weapon during heated close quarter fighting. FEATURE UPDATES Ricochet Tracers that ricochet off armored vehicles are now more easily seen Added hit indicator sound for glancing hit on vehicles. Added hint prompts to soldiers that explain the explosion damage reduction in prone. Many important hints will now show up to 3 times before never showing again. Added additional hints for some vehicle gadgets that players were having a hard time understanding. Scoring for Behemoth damage no longer comes only in 20 point chunks. Smaller damage amounts will register a point value. The total damage point value of a Behemoth has not changed. Fix for player occasionally being teleported when exiting the field gun during reload animation Added non-gamepad Joystick support. Vehicles: Vehicle Balance Fortress Gun does greater damage against vehicles and has a bigger lethal area against infantry. AA Decreased damage of AA cannons against planes and plane parts. Reduced AA Truck range to better align with stationary AA and prevent HQ camping. Fixed badly aligned shell eject VFX of the stationary AA. Planes Increased blast damage and radius of Ranken darts. Reduced damage of Scout rifles against plane parts. Increased damage of K Bullets against attack planes. 50 kg bombs can now deal a little damage to planes and tanks when landing a direct hit. Increased Bomber Killer bullet velocity to improve this pattern’s dogfighting. Improved Bomber Torpedoes vs land targets, making it useful as a heavy bomb even on maps without boats. Reduced the damage a Cavalry soldier takes from headshots. Increased the range that AT grenades can be thrown from horseback. Increased the damage hand grenades do vs transport vehicles. The Armored Artillery Truck now does slightly more damage up close, and less damage at long range. The bullet drop has also been reduced to enable players to hit at longer ranges. Vehicle deployed mines can now have up to 6 mines alive in the world at one time (was 3). The Train on Suez now has a Heavy Mortar on the front turret instead of the 57mm AT gun. This gives it more impact on the flags. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where the soldier would enter the AA gun from the wrong direction. Fix for explosion fire being present for too long after an airplane crash. Fixed an issue where the player could hide in a damaged armored car turret. The tank hunter attack plane now reloads automatically when idle, comparable to tanks. Fixed players spawning into the Armored Train when spawning should be unavailable. Fixed Rumpler Attack Plane to properly gain health when using the Wing Repair ability. Fixed collision problems with wrecked Mark 5. Fixed so torpedo boats are immortal when spawned until player has entered them to prevent an exploit. Fixed some vehicle tooltips appearing even after the player has left the vehicle. Behemoth overview HUD now displays broken weapons and turrets on all Behemoths. When in a Behemoth seat that is broken, you will now see an indicator for the repair progress. Fixed so all airplanes can deploy Emergency Repair for any damage amount. Fixed some aircraft being able to activate Emergency Repair despite not having it equipped. Reduced amount of blur effect when using artillery weapons Aligned camera on beckers guns better with the ironsights. Added support to decouple passenger aiming from being affected by turning the vehicle. Improved visuals for zoom scope and bomb scope views in vehicles. Bomb sight and artillery aiming now uses the water surface to display range instead of the ocean floor. PS4: Fixed an issue where the audio could stutter for high rate fire weapons. PS4: Fixed an issue where selecting reset audio would not reset the audio language. Server: Improved server performance and bandwidth usage for airplanes. Improved handling of network jitter, packet loss and packets arriving in the wrong order. Improve server performance of barbed wire objects in the levels. Added grenades to the high frequency updates to avoid problems with players taking damage from explosives before they visually detonated. Improved hit registration for airplanes, especially in close proximity dogfighting. Improved message if disconnected from server. Fixed match making issue for servers with no round time limit. Balance players based on their skill in the current game mode instead of global skill. Several server performance improvements. Improve server metrics for detecting networking problems of specific players. Fixed issue where players were not being placed in the same squad when joining on friend that is in a full squad or not in a squad at all. Several fixes for common and uncommon server crashes. Campaign: Horses no longer take damage from collisions with soldiers. Fixed the bullet tracer glow on stationary turrets in Fog of War. Fixed an issue where the airplane could get stuck in terrain. Updated several subtitles. Fixed an issue on Young Men's Work where AI deployed from armored vehicles could see the player through terrain and keep firing. A month after the game is released, they are making a statement that should have been said a month before the launch. What is really funny is we know a patch is coming tomorrow but we don't exactly what is in it.
  14. For a lot of us, Battlefield 1 has been out for a month now. There is certainly a lot that can be said about the newest installment into the battlefield genre. While not all of it has been good, it has not been all bad either. Yet there is still some ugly in the game. DICE threw every off when they announced that the game would be set in World War 1. Even EA was caught off guard and the even rejected the idea when it was first proposed to the giant video game producer. There was so many way to right this. Give a list of the good then a list of the bad or just cover it section by section. So if I get off on a tangent then pay it no never mind and just keep reading. It will all come full circle. So here goes A brief history Dice first created BF1942 in 2002. It was a WW2 shooter made solely for the PC. The gaming community fell in love with it. It was really the first game out the that you could play big maps with vehicles and infantry. Usually it was one or the other and certainly not 64 players. Battlefield 1942 received awards for Online Gameplay, Innovation in PC Gaming, PC Game of the Year, and Game of the Year. Even back then there were still players not happy. Some felt vehicles and infantry have no place together in a game. One comapany decided to listen and started the COD series in 2003. Game with no vehicles or very limited usage of them. Following up with that huge success was Battlefield Viet Nam in 2004. This was actually one of the expansions packs for BF1942. This as a stand alone game did not do as well due to the popularity of 1942 and players just not wanting to give it up. It was also made clear that there would be a new title in 2005. That 2005 would be Battleield 2 Modern Combat. Have just finish a real war up in the middle east, this game to off for a lot of generation Xrs. Modern weapons, Modern Vehicles and again huge maps. Players loved this game and even today, this is still considered the bench mark to beat in the FPS multiplayer. Another high standard was the expasion market. Players could not wait to spend another $25 for the expansions and there were 4 of them. DICE made a lot of friends with this game. They listened to players and added or changed features based on what the gaming community wanted. In fact even the consoles players screamed and eventuallly even they for the first time game to play battlefield. Well next was Battlefield 2142. The future version of war. While it was popular, it was hit with lots of problems. PC's were starting to change to dual core and 64 bit was being introduced. Servers had a habit a crashing constanly. Titan Mode cause lots of lag. This game just came out to soon for most players hardware that was on the market and the server companies too. Still if you played it, you got to drive a mech and fight over the titans which is still one of my favorites modes ever. Changes in tides With the success they had with the PC market DICE decided to take on the consoles and get a piece of that action. So they stepped away from the PC market for a bit to produce Battlefield Bad Company. This was a console exclusive and really help to usher in the console players who up to this point were an after thought to DICE and the battlefield series. This game was a huge success for DICE and they then reallize console is the wave of the future and consoles would be considered for every game they make there after. With that success now dice had to bring a game out for the masses. A game for both console and PC players. So they went back to the drawing board and created a whole new game engine called frostbite. Then in 2010 DICE released Battlefield Bad Company 2. While this game was a huge success it lacked the traditional battlefield size and scale. This was a 32 player game and not 64 player. It was a much faster paced game and was a relief for most battlefield PC players to have another battlefield title out. Almost immediately with the release of BFBC2, DICE started production of Battlefield 3. This was released in 2010. Battlefield was back for the PC market. Well sort of. It's actually a console game ported to the PC. 64 players and big maps, well bigger then BFBC2 maps. This is where dice really introduced close quarters combat and the usage of multi levels. The destructible environments was more pronounced. Not just trees falling over like in the previous game. Players could not get enough of it and this game helped to bring back some of the original gamers who were still playing BF2 or BF2142. Dice kept the momentum going with Battlefield 4. No more Wake island remastered. The did bring us Dragon Valley from BF2 though. The game was a lot of fun. The improvements in the DICE engine and listening to the community really helped. We even got to have a couple night maps which were frustratingly fun to play. Maps were bigger. Frames were better. Players overall were happy unless you were a COD fan. Players would actually preorder the premium addition before the game came out because they knew it would be great. 33 large conquest 64 players maps were available. Did I mention the maps were getting bigger too? Well 2015 came and could not get finished fast enough for DICE. Not only did DICE produce server none battlefield games that failed in the market place but the had one in the battlefield name sake as well. I have to put it that was because this game could have been called so many other names. Most just call it Hardline. Dice tried to make changes that made out to be as improvements. Those changes, especially in the hardcore mode doomed it for failure. DICe did actually fix the game back to battlefield gamer standards but it took several months and by that time other games came out. The lack of a "battlefield" and all cops and robbers did not help either. Now to today. 2016. DICE decided to really change things up. I don't mean a little I mean a lot. No I mean change everything. A new frostbite version and a game set in a time frame that almost no other company has touched. World War 1. One of the ugliest wars of all time. A stalemate for most of it in terms a land taken. Financially this war lead to the great depression for the world. Now here is where we get to the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of battlefield 1. Where to start where to start. I will start with logging in. Battlelog is gone. WHY???? I loved how I did not need to be in the game to make changes. They did give us a clunky app for our phones but if DICE treats it like they did the apps in BF4, we wont have them long before DICE throws in their virtual towel. The old way of of right now still works better but this just seems like a step backwards in gaming if you ask me. Going back to the in game browser doesn't hurt. It is just in this day and age of running multiple monitors what is the point in having it in game when you can not see or use it unless you stop gaming. Who wants that right? Fiends list if much better. With battlelog I was only ever able to keep 100 friends. In my world of 300 plus friends this was frustrating as hell. Now we have to use the origin friends list which I have yet to max it out. Now this is the good. The bad, if my friends look at their friends list, they will see that I am Playing BF1. They have no idea what server i am in. Very bad idea there. What is ugly is if you are playing with 4 of your friends and are all in a squad of 5, your friend can not join on you unless you go through some trouble of working it out. Even uglier, try getting out of a game while playing. Its a nightmare. It's even worse if there is a map change involved. Servers The good is well for PC they are all 60 hz servers. The bad is DICE go rid of third party server rentals. The Ugly is there are no servers you can rent at this time. Furthermore, DICE decided to leave out KEY features that most players wanted when they do release them. Features like Hardcore or non hardcore. The ability to kick or ban players. The ability to make customization. All of this should have been ready at launch. Certainly ready a month after launch which it still is not. Even uglier is that fact that DICE has been very tight lipped about most of this. Most questions were given a standard answer from DICE reps stating "SOON" I could go on and on about this subject for days. Instead of get my blood pressure up, I will just move on. Cheat System DICE decided to retire the punkbuster system which is a good thing. I don't blame them because it only caught players changing code in the game. Most cheaters have gone to overlays which punkbuster is just to outdated to catch. The bad of this is now we are limited to fairfight only, which uses some magic algorithm to catch players cheating based on their stats. So blatant stat padders are gone and the obvious aimbotters but players using ESP/wallhacks will still be running around rampant. The ugly part is and I do mean ugly is there are no admins in the game to stop any of this. So no one can stop them and all you can do as a player is report the players and hope someone will do something. This has never worked in the past so I am not hopeful about the future. DICE says that after the release of rentable servers, they will add in features that we ask for like the ability to kick/ban players. Really, we have to ask for this? Shouldn't this be a given? I know, I already talked about this so I must move on but it is a very sore subject with me. Online Game Play The good is the visuals are awesome and the audio is outstanding. I am running a Nvidia 1080 card with an i7-920 processor (first gen baby) and 12 gigs of DDR3 tripple channels 1866mhz ram and the game runs really smooth on ultra. I have my game set up to run a straight 60 frames and it might fluctuate on occasion to to low 58 frames, the game is very stable for me. The bad, i5 & i3 chips need more then 8 gigs of ram and not the single core stuff. Ram is cheap and some people need to upgrade. AMD users seem to have a lot of issues as well. from what I can read, a 480 card is about as minimum as you want to go. The ugly of the game is players are forced to go for objectives and do not promote kills. Even in this softcore mode, 11 scout rifles are 1 shot kills in the "sweet spot" while all other classes can barely hit the guy at 100 yards. Pistols are become more and more the norma because they seem to be more accurate and more powerfull and faster firing then the machine guns. I like mine for killing snipers at 100 yards away. If anything needs changed it is definatly these 2 items. This is not a run and gun game. You have to rely on your squad mates. If they are all at different objectives, the game will fall apart before your eyes. not to mention your KDR will plunge. You have to work together as a group. All classes can be important and most times needed. There is no spawn beacon so a scout is nice to have back to spawn on and to call out the enemy. Medics are a must. Support is a must. For the close quarters and tanks the assault class is a must. Double up where you need to. If you don't, you will get upset with how the game is going and wonder why your team is losing. OMG its a tank. They are fairly easy to take down and are not that over powered. If you work as a squad you can make really short work of them. AA seems to take for ever now to take a plane down. I would not say they are weak but definitely not the AA that was in BF4. Field guns are OK to fire and then run. Takes a while to aim and shoot. I would like to see that sped up just a little bit. Stationary LMG are perfect. Aircraft is intersting. Totallly diferent then previous games. They can be usless or over powering depending on the pilot. Campaign mode While dice has not even been known for its campaign mode the good news is they put one in. The bad news is, its short and not much to do in it. The ugly of it is once you get something going its over and a new story line begins. It is more of a play this and learn how to play the game mode before you play online. It is short and sweet with almost half being cinematics. Overall The good is we get another 3 years of a different battlefield game The bad is this game is far from being complete the ugly is this game is so incomplete it should have been delayed by about 6 months with a lot more testing before being released to market. While it is playable and and a lot of time enjoyable, it can be equally frustrating as hell. DIce is known for patching and making fixes over the course of years so I would not throw the game away or get a refund yet. I think all will be fixed and to quote DICE executives it will be fixed "SOON".

Courtesy Reddit, and I'm paraphrasing. 1 - Lots of changes coming to the medal system (they are considering letting us track all 5 medals at once, and selecting 1 to show up on the UI). 2 - Operations in the Server Browser isn't supported on current system (?) - it's something they are keeping an eye on. 3 - Esports game modes and features are coming down the pipe, but priority right now is rental servers / spectators. 4 - They are looking at Aim-Assist. Understand frustration that some feel it's too strong, and it's something they are keeping an eye on. 5 - Loadout / class customization feature is coming very soon. 6 - Looking at issues at joining a game with friends. 7 - LMG buffs are being considered. 8 - Squad Leader changes / mutiny is coming. Also looking at improving Squad Leader experience. 9 - More battle-pack rewards 10 - AA is too good. Delicate balance between nerfing it without letting airplanes reign supreme. 1 1 - Battlepack drops do have some sort of filter - aren't entirely random. They aren't keen on people joining in late and getting battlepacks. Some sort of participation filter is required. 12 - Not keen on the feature where players can heal / resupply off of teammates - calls it a design band-aid, where they'd much rather reward good team behavior and make it really easy and understandable that you need health and ammo 13 - Admits that they played the launch of the game very safe, regarding game modes (hardcore) and features, so as to not bloat the launch and have things go stable out the gate.   17. This is on the honor system. Players were not moving and then arguing like 5 year olds as to who was in the channel first. That is why we added the squad channels and limited them to 5 players. The only way to join is to wait for an empty slot. Also created is team channels. Again this is the honor system. Move if you are not on that team. Best practice is this. join team speak and then find out who has a spot in their squad before you launch the game. join that player to be in their squad through origin on your friends list. Doing this ensures you will stay in that squad when the map changes. We do not have teamsync and we have a lot of players playing. Yes it sucks but we have to make do with what we have. Again, if you leave the game, be respectful and leave the channel so another member can join that squad. If all else fails, admins will just have to do their jobs and move players. It's frustrating guys for all of us. Especially when we all want to be in the same server playing together. Remember this, this game is very squad based, it is always better to play within your squad and worry less about the other squads. Hit "Q" often to spot players for your team. All will be better once we have our own server I promise. With luck, maybe we will get our teamsync plugin back.

  19. 1. This is valid for Win 8 also (no idea for Win 7) Even if you don`t use Internet Explorer this option seems to affect gaming performance, at least in my case and few friends. Open Internet Explorer > Tools (little cog on the top right or Alt+X) > Internet Options > Advanced > and mark Use software rendering instead of GPU. Now restart the system, FPS should feel smoother now (not higher but smoother). 2. Open XBOX application > Settings > Game DVR and turn it OFF ! In both cases if you don`t have the apps pinned anywhere just press the Windows button and type what you are looking for. Hope it helps some folks ...
