It continues to improve. Logged on yesterday at the same time as the previous nights... no queue. I had to get off and go deal with some stuff over at my folks house and got back home at 7:45. Logged in expecting hella queue, 54 took about 15 min to log in and start playing. Edit Oh and this is on Vingolf the heaviest population server for the east coast.

Yeah thats pretty much due to the heat generated on those cards from what I've read. It causes a solder joint that is kind of weak to separate. Im running the game on medium, and it still looks great, on a 1650 low profile card that doesn't generate much heat at all and have had no issues at all. My specs are a HP SFF Desktop with an i5, 16 GB Ram, and the 1650 with SSD drives and its more than enough to handle it. Im between serious gaming rigs atm but have had no issues with this little beast. I also want to give a big shout out to the devs. They said they were going to do something about AFK people and I gotta say damn they sure did. Friday the queue was over 1k when I logged in at 5:10 PM, yesterday when I logged in at 5:06PM the queue was 90ish. I was playing 20 min later and I walked the dog during that time. Good Job there.

So is anyone playing New World? I was coerced into getting it by my old WOW/Rift Guild Thursday and have proceeded to grind my way up to almost lvl 20 over the weekend. Playing on the Vingolf server and will say its been a long time since I have seen a logon queue like that. I should get levels for battling the queue boss if nothing else. Friday after work I logged in @ 5:10 PM to a queue of over 1000 watched an hour of TV then went and got dinner for the wife and I and ate. It was only 35 min after that I got in at around 8:45 and was on till around 2:30ish. The game having just released is pretty damned stable and relatively bug free so far. It's also pretty entertaining as well. I will say Im looking forward to the world PvP and faction wars but haven't gotten to that yet as my face would be melted immediately. They seem to be doing the PvP thing right as you have to flag to be PvP and unless flagged you cant be attacked or attack anyone. I have always liked the world based PvP where you fight for control of the cities / regions of the world. If you are into that kinda thing and can battle the queue boss without losing your mind I do suggest the game. You can get it on Steam or Amazon for a one time cost of 40 bucks with no monthly charge. New World

I get the reasonings why, mainly that half the original cast has died, but I was thinking along the lines of a Walking Dead style time jump type continuation. Pop in 20 or 30 years in the future after the end of the series and pick up there and show where things are after the Shadow Wars and move from there. I dont know, it just seems weird to redo the whole thing. Now dont take this wrong as it could be a great series and one of the reasons to redoing it would be to be able to do things they just couldn't before either because they weren't allowed to or the tech just didn't exist to do it at all and now does. I will definitely watch it Im just hoping its as good or better than the original.

Yeah... well maybe haha. I know that thing would become an oven down here in the south but it being in what appears to be a semi mountainous area it may not get nearly as hot. Wonder what he's gonna do as a roof covering? Me, I would sand blast the whole roof, prime it with the brown iron oxide primer, and spray the whole roof with 2-3 coats of Rhino Linings bed liner. It would probably take a bullet and not crack hahah.

Uhhg. Can Hollywood not come up with new things anymore? All these "reboots" are just plain lazy. I will admit that on rare occasions the reboot is good but its very rare. I was good with the remaster of B5 but to do a reboot really isn't needed. It was a great series to start with. Instead of a reboot how about a continuation of the story? I mean with Straczynski running the show they should be able to pick up on a continuation just as easy or easier than a reboot. It would probably be a whole lot more interesting as well.

So I was thinking about giving this another try with a different PC because I think the wonkiness I was having with my flight controls may have been tired to hardware more than anything else. If nothing else I can run around and pew pew people from one of your ships hahaha.

Yeah I've heard of it. I've thought about giving it a whirl just never got around to it. All of us that played 7 Days to Die had discussed it. If anyone decides they want to give it a whirl let me know and I'll join but be advised depending on the server well any server its kind of a toxic environment. Lots of shit talking and griefing. It's full contact fighting and if you lose they can take all your stuff all the way up to your base. Oh and yes you start butt ass naked dork, or ta-tas, blowin' in the wind. Servers wipe usually on every first Thursday of each month for updates etc so loosing everything isn't that devastating but a pain in the ass till the server wipe and yes larger groups have a huge advantage as to people on weird schedules. Some clans schedule raids of other clans bases at weird hours like when most folks on the servers are sleeping so yeah as I said it can get pretty damned toxic. Its not for the average person but caters more to asshats and such.

They are way behind Amazon Fire on this front but its good to see them running with it. Anyone who like music might want to check out the CODA collection subscription. Been watching quite a few great concerts and documentaries. Lots of Foo Fighters stuff here as well cause, well Dave is an awesome human being.

Yerp. I'm guessing a good many bugs were found in the closed beta, which to be honest there should be cause thats what betas are for. What I find astounding is that the companies have betas and find bugs but the publishers push them to release it anyway even if parts of the game are totally broken with the "Just patch it" mentality. You and i are old enough to remember the days when you wouldn't even see a beta test until the product is where they are at release these days. IMHO it made for much better games and was the main reason PCs were the preferred platform. The devs had the power to push it when it was ready not when the shareholders said to. Capitalism rears its ugly head in everything now days. I vote for building a time machine and going back to the good old days. God knows I could stand to get back 30-35 years physically hahaha.

Cool. I like the game even if I could not actually fly a ship cause well, I apparently suck at it and I would hate to see them end up wasting resources of lawsuits and whatnot. Depending on if BF2042 blows or not I may give it another whirl with a new PC and controls and see what I can make happen.

Wonder if that applies to currency people purchased through the shop and how they will handle that.

Yep the delay is announced, 1 month till Nov. No word on the open beta yet so it may go off as planned but nothing solid yet. Surprisingly I am fully in support of this. Hardline was delayed to address issues and IMHO, while it didn't really classify as a BF title to most, it was a pretty solid game on release. Its main issue was how badly it suffered from cheaters. It also had one of the more engaging campaigns of the BF franchise. It was like playing a game based on Miami Vice and was really entertaining. You know you love dinking around with this stuff. We appreciate ya Larry. Gotta say I wasn't a huge fan of the new forum software. Was a wee bit difficult to navigate and i kinda like being able to hit the site and immediately see all the new posts. I am however flexible and can adapt. This is why we are masters of this world, well that and the opposable thumb.

Sneks are your friends. I see a good many of em having a pond in my back yard but rarely dispatch any of em unless they are posing a threat. I mean even the poisonous ones usually get a pass unless they have endangered the dog or have really gotten too close. I killed a mating pair of copperheads 2 years ago and within weeks the squirrel population in my yard exploded. If I could get them to go after the ground moles that continually kill of my gardens it may be worth keeping a mated pair even hahaha. Rats and mice are not a thing for the most part at my house. If you see one in the garage or see signs that is one crafty mouse/rat. The non poisonous ones get an invite to areas that may be of concern. Its kinda like taking them to a buffet.
