  1. Kinda looks like a mashup of Yellowstone and Far Cry 5.
  2. Ok that looks kinda cool.
  3. I bet there are YouTube videos on how to fix the tractor as well hahaha. Hey I've learned how to race tune a Edelbrock 4 barrel via YouTube. It's not as easy as one would think.
  4. Yeah... I was kinda scared for ole Spencer when he was sawing the back cut on that while kneeling behind the tree. Ya know because trees never kick back or barber chair when they are split in half by lightning and are partially dead. That kind of thing just doesn't happen at all. Might want to catch a few more of those YouTube videos. Glad it worked out for him, this time. Also did you notice that he hooks the chain up to the felled log and then to his CRV to pull it out of there while there is a friggin tractor sitting there in the background? I wonder about this boy sometimes. Tell me you are from the city without telling me you are from the city hahaha.
  5. While I tend to agree with most of what the article says I wouldn't put anything past the studios when it comes to "reimagining" the lore of Star Wars. Yeah Ben will be ok because it would not fit for him not to be but just because the Grand Inquisitor is in Rebels doesnt mean hes not up for axing in the live action series. i doubt they would as fans would lose their collective shit but it could happen haha. I'm really liking all this new content but I have to start piecing together a viewing lineup in chronological order. You know to get the whole story down as it unfolds. At this point I'm looking at a week of straight up couch potatoing.
  6. Ha! Score one for the good guys. Awesome graphic as well.
  7. Hahahahaha. Love how the Twitterverse reads so much into even the slightest thing. That is the AIM Sports Warfare Ed. dual reflex sight. It's a brand on the sight and people lose their flippin mind hahaha. For ref: https://www.aimsportsinc.com/reflex-sight-1x34mm-warfare-edition/ Its a pretty cheap sight with, how shall I say it, kinda stupid reticles.
  8. I've been playing Deadside the past few evenings and gotta admit I've been having fun in it even as a solo. All my opinions are based on the time I have in game but keep in mind I have 0 time played on "official" servers. I have played all my time on a YouTubers (Loaf) rented server (Loaf's Bakery) as official servers are unmoderated, and can be pretty toxic. By toxic i dont only mean in coms/proximity chat but in actions such as safezone camping, base camping etc. If you do try the game I advise that you use a community server that has active admins and rulesets. It just makes the game better. Aside from the PVP aspect of the game they have missions against AI kinda reminiscent of the Ghost Recon games only the enemy AI is tiered easy, medium, hard, and epic. The tier of the mission of course decides what level of gear you get from completing the mission and opening the reward crate. Hard and epic AI guys will drill you if you dont use cover to your best advantage and keep healed up. Of course being open world and PVP you can find yourself fighting both AI and real players at the same time! I've only got about 8 hrs in the game and still learning the ropes but I've gotten some OK gear, lost it, gotten some more, lost it, rinse and repeat but it's fun. Haven't built a base yet but plan to maybe this weekend. Unlike DayZ the base raiding mechanic is a lot better IMHO. Instead of someone just being able to break into your base when you aren't around it is gated. To raid a base you have to first kill the owner of the base in open world PVP. Once you kill them there is like a 10% chance they will drop a raid token. If they do you can activate it to raid the base. The catch is you still have to break in with explosives, which are pretty rare, you have to purchase a remote detonator for said explosives, and the person you are raiding must be online. No offline raiding like in DayZ and Rust. They have a limited number of weapons right now but are expanding it and pricing on the weapons is pretty high as far as in game currency goes but that in and of itself lends to making death cost something especially for newer players. I will need to start upping my loadout to work on higher tiered missions but for now I usually run with a pistol, Pump shotty and the lowest tiered rifle which is around 10-12k in guns. The game has crafting in it for base building as well as equipment and medical supplies. For example you can purchase bandages etc at the trader to heal up with however you can also loot items in the world such as vodka, moonshine, and rubbing alcohol. cloth items can be torn into rags and used for minimal healing when used as a bandage but with the alcohol items you can craft sterilized bandages which heal a good bit more than just a rag. Rags and rope can be used to craft a improvised backpack if you dont find a bag in game or lose yours. there are more options but thats just a taste. Right now the game is in early access and they are working on different areas of the game in a pretty systematic way and making sure things work before they move on to the next area and i have to say the game is solid and I really haven't had many issues. Hit registration is pretty spot on and damage scales with the tier of the enemy / weapon. At this time there aren't any animals like in DayZ to hunt so you pretty much subside on canned goods. I cant wait till they add in wildlife and being able to get water from the environment. It will make the survival aspect of the game a lot nicer than oh look I found a soda or lemme eat this can of tuna. Still has a way to go but them taking the time to get the combat aspects nailed down first is a good thing. They have a supporter pack DLC you can get with the game which gives you increased storage at the trader(+18 slots), binoculars and a compass (can be found in game but you spawn with them), and skins on the default survival items you spawn with. All in all nothing pay to win so thats a good thing. All in all I give it a solid 7.5 out of 10 overall and a 8.5 on what they have in place currently and its totally worth the $29 for the game and the supporter pack.

Do they have independant gunner positions? I mean as long as I dont have to actually fly the fool thing I can shoot hahaha.
  10. NetRngr replied to TomC's topic in Gaming
Nerds.... Hahahaha. Maybe I can footsoldier it cause i can't fly for shit. lol.
  11. Its funny how I can't seem to fly a ship in this game but can fly in a game like ARMA and DayZ with them using damn near the entire kb. Im sure its something to do with my settings / PC as even with a perfectly calibrated HoTAS I still get drift and it reads as off center. I don't have the issue with other games so I'm kinda at a loss.
  12. Seeing the Inquisitors has gotten me all tingly. Alec Guinness is smiling down from a place far far away on this one I think.
  13. Yeah. I'm not planning on going to the theater to see it. I vowed a long time ago that the only movies I will go see on the big screen are Star Wars / Star Trek movies.
  14. Yeah.... you haven't met her hahaha. Love her to death but jebus, its like technical stuff is the debbil.
  15. Ya know I've said it before and most likely will again but, as much as I despise the networks and everyone else doing their level best to squeeze every last nickel and dime out of the general public I may be forced to pony up for Paramount Plus. If for no other reason than the Start Trek and the 1883 (Yellowstone) content. I really liked the first two episodes of 1883 and well I guess they gotta pay Sam Elliott and the rest so yeah. It would be a much easier decision if i could convince my wife to part ways with the TV service and go to streaming but she isn't technical and can barely operate the cable box without having to come get me to change something on it for her. If I could I could get by with three or four streaming services since I only watch maybe three stations regularly. Sigh
  16. I loved Diablo back in the day and decided to give this a try... yeah just no. Its way to anime / arcade game for me. I'm sure it will appeal to some but the graphics and play style just didn't do it for me. I've been thinking about giving Day-Z a try but it looks like you really need to have a group there and that a single player might find it , shall we say "difficult" to play on their own. I have been a fan of the play style of the game since way back in the day when I played Ultima Online. I wasn't as big a fan of UO after they started making it "safe" but the thrill you got knowing that if you got taken out you could lose everything on you was engaging. It kinda makes you play cautiously and makes you think. I saw that some of the guys here have it so maybe I can talk them into forming up a group and jumping on a server.
  17. I would love to see a new SG series. I gotta say at first i was horrified by this post thinking that this was going to be another reboot but I am thrilled that there is a possibility of a new SG series. kinda makes me all fuzzy feeling inside. One of the first episodes in my perfect world would be to have Kurt Russell play a general and have Spader, Daniel, come back through with Shiuri as his wife with kids for a visit home or because something "bad" is going down and he's come to keep them safe. I'd like to see some of the original series folks make cameos as well and kind of blend it all together. That would be kinda awesome. Anywho hope this all comes to be because awesome is just awesome. Ok now I gotta start rewatching the series haha.
  18. As long as they keep out of the zone the KISS movie fell into it will be a good thing. Like KISS but those guys couldn't act their way out of a wet paper bag. Gene is the only one who could do it. Well he is a bass player so yeah that would explain it hahaha.
  19. You know I think EA/Dice may have finally driven the final nail in the coffin for BF. It's sad to see people so blind as to what people want even when everyone is telling them what they want. I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory but it seems like they are purposefully trying to kill off the franchise. If not kill it off turn it into a full CoD clone which is not what the BF fans want. Oh well, money wasted. Maybe at some point it will get hammered out enough for me to want to play it... maybe. Hell, I played PUBG last night and it was good. Only bad thing is that since it was retooled to be free to play You have to go through the first levels of the "basic training" and they now have levels 1-500 and it starts you off at lvl 1 but they have casual and ranked play servers now which is good because I was way rusty. Got a chicken dinner in a solo game, so not that rusty. I only saw a few bots outside of the training AI matches and hit LvL 7 in about 2 hrs.
  20. Being a huge Foo fan, and an even bigger Dave Grohl fan, I've been waiting on this to come out and it's about to drop. It's completely tongue in cheek and looks amazingly funny. I love the Foo Fighters music videos mainly because they just goof the entire time and this movie looks to be the same. Trailer looks like its gonna be one long Foo music video type deal. I so can't wait.
  21. That seems to be where a lot of the shows on Disney+ are at the moment. I kind of see where something like this would take a long time and a lot of resources to make but jeez 7 episodes? The Witcher was just as bad this year when it comes to length as well. I hope it's not the way everything is going but sure seems like it. The Expanse final season could have been longer as well. The Falcon and Winter Soldier was short also. I'm seeing a trend here and it usually involves the shows rushing to wrap up and missing a good portion of detail in the show / story which IMHO sucks.
  22. Everything I've seen in the media about The Book of Boba Fett has pretty much been about how the fans hate it or how it sucks. Personally I think it was great and dont get where the hate is coming from. Boba had maybe 6 lines in the entire movie series but is one of the most liked characters they have. Why would people not want to get a lot of his backstory? Im guessing that it's because it is not 100% what was in the comics and books but its pretty damned close. Guess the nerd in some folks cant let them enjoy something for what it is. This is why we can't have nice things. FYI the finale, ep 6 and 7 should be counted as one, for the yr is pretty damned awesome.
