  1. Im getting ready to build a new PC but damn if I may not wait till Nov for the new chipsets to release. I mean if for no other reason that the top tier chips now will get slashed pricewise haha
  2. Yeah I caught the last season on Amazon but back then they were talking about it being just that season. Guess us nerds watched it a lot more than they expected. hahaha.
  3. Yeah I liked nearly everyone in the dept. a lot. My old boss was promoted to CIO and they hired a new guy to be over the technical department who, well lets just say, he couldn't find his ass with both hands. I mean seriously when will companies start back with skills testing for positions? I've got 30+years in IT 25 of it being switches, routers, firewalls, and servers. There were days I felt I forgot more the morning I woke up than he has learned and he wanted to argue about everything. Had to call it quits when he pretty much ordered me to violate federal (FDA)guidelines. Loved my job there but not going to federal prison for anyone. That said new position is building out a secure network from scratch and implementing all the good stuff. Will probably take me better part of the next yr to get it up, running, and fully automated but then it will be buttah. Also their Projects manager aside from the IT manager so will have plenty to do. Best thing is they did not classify me as exempt haha. Hellooooo overtime. Nahh I should bring that up. There is a reason IT guys are usually exempt.
  4. Good. I loathe O365. Sub based productivity tools are good for one group. MS. The only O365 thing I dig is the hosted Exchange. Managing Exchange and updates etc. can be horrid depending on turnover and the size of the organization. Give me a solid physical copy of Office and I'm a happy dude.
  5. Hey guys, Sorry to have been away so long. Lost my job at the beginning of July but thankfully IT folks with skills are still in demand just at an albeit slower pace. New job in hand and loving it so that's awesome. Didn't really do much of anything while I was out of work save apply for jobs. Luckily I got a decent severance package and wasn't under the gun to take the first thing that came up. Ive started playing some games again and playing some music. Hope to get back into shape so as I dont embarrass myself out there hahah. Good to be back guys.
  6. OOOOO I thought they killed it off. Awesome.
  7. They make metal ones that give finer detail but the plastic one work well for moulding etc. I have one for use on my wood lathe helps make sure turned items like chair legs are identical. Awesome tools.
  8. This is a great series. Good find Larry!
  9. Ya know as much as I love the Battlefield franchise they have pretty much put me off buying anything out of the gate anymore. I had high hoped for BF5 hell even BF1 but with the current development/design team and their unwillingness to support the playebase with the servers we need and the tools we need/want im just kinda over it. The new game would need to go back to what made BF3 what it was and allow the player base the tools they need to develop community servers for me to even consider it. Basically they would need to adapt the exact game to the newer engine and turn the developer who wrote the server tools loose to do his thing again, otherwise it's just them pissing down our backs and saying its raining. What, me bitter? Nahhh.
  10. Good to see some younger folks who know good music. Pretty damn decent as well! She def has that Ann Wilson sound.
  11. Sad day indeed. One of my Favorite old schoolers to play. The other I love to play from the same set.
  12. Seems like every time I open Steam I get an update so yeah... havent seen it.
  13. I forgot he was on that show.
  14. Hahaha. All you guys keep yer heads down and stay virus free. I'll see ya after they blow up Vegas.
  15. And they are still awesome.
  16. Got work done on some funk last night. Let's Groove is locked down and September is almost mastered. It's got some wierd transitions in it that I still need work on. Enjoy.
  17. Love how Billy Gibbons refers to ZZ Top, "Same 3 guys... same 3 chords.", which is total bullshit but its funny. Gibbons is one hell of a musician. I aspire to be half that good before I die.
  18. Nailed this one down last night.
  19. That looks pretty damned tight right there.
  20. Buwahahahaha.
  21. I know a guy that converted one of these into a small apt for his son. The damned thing is nicer inside than my house but the space would be a killer. For a single guy who doesn't stay at home much its awesome.
  22. I've thought about it but its getting so that everthing wants a damned sub now.
  23. I so cant wait for this game. I dont really have the time to invest in a online game but a solid single player that I can pause or play for 20-30 min at a pop would be great. My dad has a pretty large stroke two weeks ago and I've been either at work or at the hospital since. They were gonna send him to a rehab place but the only two that would take his insurance look like places in worse condition than a bombed out middle eastern town. I quickly put a halt to that however to get him into someplace close and that hasnt been fined 30k for health and welfare violations last yr is like 800 bucks a day so they are sending him home and having an aide and therapist come in and see him at home. Thats awesome and all but since my brother in law and I are the only ones in the family not on disability means there will be even less time. This getting older and having responsibilities this sucks. I'd really dig being able to loop time and just play back say 93-95 over and over again.
