yes, i had the misfortune of dirnking Irn Bru, it was sadly, not that great. The Diet version almost made me gag
  2. Whoa, i just popped into the forums to discover that somehow the theme became something that someone who was "hopped up on goofballs" would see. Very weird, i think the autotheme thingy is bugged, either that or my comp's been toking again. On a serious note: I dont do drugs, they are the bane of humanity, they just make for some funny jokes. Ive seen what even "just" weed can do to a person and it aint pretty. Besides, when you do drugs, you make more work for [TA]-State Cop
  3. the insides of the (non class room) buildings at West Point have very high, stone, vaulted ceilings with ornate decorations. The furnishings were also very old school, no stain glass i could see though
  4. Im really glad to see we managed to avoid a national pride debate here, because A) there are never any winners, everyone just goes off all mad and upset it craps the threadGood job keeping the thread on topicPS I love the new flag, maybe we could gator in on this and vote on an official armory flag?
  5. sorry, i made an assumption, I was basing our clan colors on the fact that the Armory clan sign at the top of the forums is red white and blue, and i remeber back in the day a lot of red white and blue TA tags. Anyhoo, i didnt mean to take sides or rip you up Razor, jsut some constructive criticism. Heck I barely know how to operate MS Paint, much less anything more advanced, or making custom flag skins. My Bad
  6. Of or relating to an architectural style prevalent in western Europe from the 12th through the 15th century and characterized by pointed arches, rib vaulting, and a developing emphasis on verticality and the impression of height. Of or relating to an architectural style derived from medieval Gothic. I dunno, this definition fits the place i saw pretty well. Though to be fair, the outsides did look more like 18th century fortresses than gothic cathedrals, the insides however were about as gothic as you are going to get, minus gargoyles. Besides, on what basis do you plant your argument? Have you ever been to West Point, or even seen pictures of it? If so, than maybe there are some grounds for argument, if not, Id like to know what leg you have to stand on?
  7. Just got back froma trip to West Point and the army season opener. First off: That school is kickass, and Im gonna redouble my efforts to get in. Saw a parade review of a regiment on the main parade grounds, wow, it was indescribably cool. The west pointers are the very definition of huah, though i think they take their army navy rivalry a bit to intensely ("Go army, beat navy" is on everything from the water bottles, to the buildings, to the bleachers). Looking at that school, you guys can rest assured your tax money is being put to good use (heck id pay more tax if it went to the school). The view of the Hudson is stunning from trophy point (where all the cannon taken as trohpies from the Rev. war onward are on display) and the post itself is beautiful. Everything, and i mean everything is built in the style and size of gothic castles/fortresses, its inspiring. They love their football there, so much so, they literally called in the National guard to provide base security and traffic direction for the game. There was an armed guard every 50 feet or so, it was nuts. At the stadium, there were snipers on the roof and MP's coming out of the woodworks. The game itself was sweet as well, at least up to the kick off. There was the USMA jump team, a drill demonstration, several helicopter flybys, and most of the corp of cadets. I thought for sure UConn was doomed..... Sadly, the US Army football team, frankly, sucks. Don't get me wrong, im officially a die hard fan, just a pessimistic one. For the most part it isnt even the Army team's fault, their biggest lineman could barely compare with UConn's smallest. Owing to this, the army QB usually had less than 2 seconds to throw or run before he was crushed by a wall of UConn defensive flab, on the other hand, the UConn QB had all day to throw, run, or take a nice nap and sip iced tea. didn't help that the Army only ran 2 plays the entire first 2 quarters. Ah well, I have to respect the continued optimism the fans showed even though Army was down 34-0 at half time and had only managed a single first down. Still, despite it all, i had a heck of a time, and who knows, in a couple of months you might be talking to [TA]-New Cadet or [TA]-Plebe
  8. go to somethingawful.com and click on the comedy goldmine and photoshop phriday links. You will die laughing, be warned though, certain images are EXTREMELY tasteless and may lead to indignation and/or vomiting. But for the most part the pics are ROFLMAO

i went to Scotland this summer, loved it. Better than the rest of the UK IMHO. Though Snowdon park in Wales gave it a run fors it money. I was up near Glasgow and Inverclyde (is that a county or a town), it was drop dead beautiful. I ate haggis (and some damn good beef) while i was in Scotland, it was some good shizzle. Looked kind of like scrapple but tasted a lot better. BTW, i come from Carlisle, PA, and I passed by our town's namesake while in Scotland.
  10. lol, your comp should have gone critical by 260 degrees. Must be some weird error
  11. well, im gonna have to side with Ky on this one. While i admit i couldnt do something like myself, i feel there are some major issues with the pic. First, aren't our clan colors red white and blue? Second, the background looks way out of place, too real for an obviously fake flag. Third, sorry man, that lens flare doesnt look right at all Also, try and antialias that sucker up a little, its rather rough around the edges. Other than that, i respect the effort. Just a little constructive criticism
  12. Aight, cool, thanks. Now hows about that third code section?
  13. i think i have that version, but i dont see an option for J#, maybe i dont have the right version
  14. so theres no way to program java with .NET? Damn, could have sworn you could, now i wasted all that time installing that 5 cd beast. Ill try and get Jbuilder, but for now all i have is notepad, .NET, or JCreator. I don't suppose you could post the thrid code section, i'm a relative newb to java and your prog looks like it might be fun and not to complex to try and disect.
  15. uh yeah, i dont think gator would be to happy about those masturbation or wang quotes.....When in doubt, empty your magazinePS those huah jokes were funny
  16. huh, i tried compiling your code kami and i got a few errors. So I went back to the thread and low and behold i forgot the code for class Paper. so i get that, and recompile everything, no errors. I run the program and get the following error:Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: mainPress any key to continue...This error appears in a win 2k console window running from jcreator lite ed (crappy, i know), our IDE. Any ideas?PSIs there anyway to program java or J++ or whatever on .NET?

ohhhhhh, this is a complete different game than the one im thinking of. There is a game called soldat (obviously) in development right now that is SORT of like Ghost REcon. I say sort of becuase thats the best comparison i can make though i do know that Soldat will have better graphics and revolve around mercs
  18. DEFCON replied to Enders's topic in Main Hall
huh, ive heard of soldat but i guess it hasnt come out in the US, last i checked it was still under development
  19. i played the demo, it is truly a sweet game. Mind blowing grpahics, NOLF style humor, good story, sweet light cycle circuits, computer terms out the wazoo, RPG elements. Only problem: its unbelievably hard. On normal, your Health wont last 10 seconds against 1 or 2 enemies, it was so frustrating i had to stop playing. If you buy the game you will love it so long as you dont try to be a hero and play on normal or hard
  20. I think Ak1200 has it right on the money, though id swear the term newbie has been around for decades
  21. ive got a little less than a week till im a senior. and of course that means i can stop caring about school in Feb after college decisions. Oh and im looking forward to my classes anyway
  22. why were you banned?
  23. i dont blame canada for anything, it was prolly just lightning or something, who cares? Powers back for the most part, besides as was said, we can all live without electricity for little while.
  24. i love my 5200, now i just have to update my aging 2000+ and add another 512 megs of RAM. Estimated cost: 100$ total, for both additions, god i love AMD and cheap RAM
  25. oh no, not our electricity, how will we survive? Oh wait, i never lost my power, nm. Im 20 mins from 3 mile island and it seems to be functioning perfectly... *notices swollen thyroid glands* uh oh.
