at first I felt it was horrible exploitation of an innocent, but than I read a quote from Hung that explained that he knew he was popular because he sucked and that it was all good. Still, I think AMerican Idol is both offensive and morally degrading

well, i have the RAID totally disconnected and it has been since 2nd or 3rd boot attemp. The thing wouldnt work even with defaults, as I would get those page faults (assuming the process got this far) when the mobo clocked the RAM to 266 by default. I had a similar error with pc3200 ram declocking to pc2700, the only fix in that case was to replace the ram. I know the RAM doesnt need to be replaced in this case though. A friend of mine had a short that resulted in intermittent boots, perhaps I have the same problem?

this what i posed on overclockersforum.com, please help with the described problem:Ok, I'll try and put this out chronologically as it is a series of various errors and failures.Before I go any farther here are my specs:AMD 1800+ T-bred b JIXID stepping512mb of infineon pc2700 RAM128mb Gefx 5200 (I know it sucks, a replacement is in the mail)Abit NF7-S board1) Installed NF7-S board2)Tried booting, got a long beep, a pause than another beep and so on and so forth3) Changed position of the jumper right above CMOS battery which I assume clears the CMOS. Changed the jumper back to original position4) system booted, I went to BIOS and made some standard changes, inserted Win Xp disk and rebooted.5) Rebooted, booted to XP installation, wouldnt get past loading dynamic volume something-or-ther (dmio)6) Turned off system, disconnected RAID. rebooted, got to installation and entered GUI installation7) Installation failed at some point, it said it was still installing, but hung on 39 minutes remaining for an hour. Rebooted, installation resumed and this time didnt hang. Entered the comp name, etc. Finished input, than BAM! page fault, blue screen, and much cursing and swearing. I believe the page fault was caused by the mobo declocking my RAM to PC2100 based off the 1800+, I have had this type of error before.8) Eventually, I was unable to re-enter installation after said page faults, and simply got a corrupted config file error. I tried booting from the CD and got an "error code 4" at the blue, non-gui windows xp installation screen while trying to recomplete instalallation, than I got as far as loading the kernel debugger next time i rebooted. 9) Several more times, seemingly randomly, I got a beep code error after rebooting and trying to complete installation, usually shorting the jumper above the battery fixed this, but finally even that has stopped working, and I cnat boot at all. 10) ad of right now, I cannot boot at all, and even if i could i dont think i would even be able to boot to the CD.11) if i am able to boot again somehow im going to try using another legit xp cd (the original was legit as well) to see if that helps

Norton 2004 has this wierd thing where a windo will popup from the task bar saying "such and such file is awaiting a AV scan", than you hit ok or ignore. Its really stupid, it doesnt do anything but prolong long file DL's.

yeah, unless you go to gamecopyworld.com and find some NO CD cracked patches. Its free and legal since you own the game but lost the Cd's so there is no guilt and i wont get banned for recommending it

Im working on getting an ebay account set up, and so far it has been rough going. In addition to all the security measures (necessary, i know), the tutorials and help sections are scattered and badly organized, even further, their credit bureau has my ID completely FUBAR, saying i have 2 credit cards ive never owned. Im going to continue to pore through the voluminuous help section, but in the mean time, would an ebay veteran be so kind as to provide me with a checklist of things i need to do?PSHow long did it take people to get their paypal deposits verified? its been a day for me, and my bank doesnt even recognize any pending payments or transactions. Also, i recieved some mysterious 1 dollar charges to my checking account that seem to be tied to a time when i was going through some ebay security measures, are there any hidden charges i missed?

Im calibrated and everything, i was just looking for the best way to actually set up the joystick for flight ingame

My friend let me use his MS force feedback 2 joystick under a lend/lease agreement we have and I was wondering if you guys could help me set it up to work in DC, with FF if possible. I configured it as best I could under controls but its very touchy and Im not sure I have all the axis set right.

I would like to apologize to all the Ventrilo regulars for my recent bout of bad sportsmanship and excessive whining. I need to learn not to get on Ventrilo after a bad day or bad round and vent on people who simply want to have fun and not deal with my pointless complaining. I'm not usually like how I am on Ventrilo, in fact I was more than a little perturbed at my attitude shift once I sat back to reflect on my conduct. So to all who have had to put up with me on Ventrilo over the last couple of weeks, especially Gator, Shotty, Statecop, Bordinko, Sam Gen, E Normus 1, Gen. Falcon, and any others: I am deeply sorry for my actions and I wish to do an act of contrition by endeavoring to become a better Voice Comm player and DC/TAC community member. disapointed at first too, I really liked the comanche and its going to cost 400 jobs+, but then it hit me. The comanche has already been made obsolete by new unmanned attack jet/prop and helicopters. They would do the same job as the comanche more efficiently, cheaper and with no loss of life. And with the relative ease involved with shooting down a helicopter (stealth wont help when the enemy is simply eyeballing you with an RPG or Grail) now a days, this is all a good thing. Besides, Im sure the comanche program netted almost enough knowledge on the next generation of rotary aircraft in general to almost make up for the 2 billion put into the program. Now if they cancel the F-22, than we will know Rummy is hitting the wacky weed
