im no senior council member so my opinion doesn't count, but I think I can understand what Stk is saying and i think they might be entitled to a rematch. Though, I must say I dont think I quite like subervsive's tone of "voice". Also, I sometimes get pings of 220 plus on the TA server and it doesn't lag at all. though with the crappy steam network and the apparent high loss and choke, Stk's argument has some credence, I just dont like the way they are presenting their request. again though, im not a senior council member and my opinion doesnt count. im sure this thing is being worked out via pm anyway.

Ok, I need to play sounds in a console app, ie one that runs in a "DOS" window. Eventually ill convert it to GUI but for right now I need to use the console.What I did is I created the following class:import java.awt.*;import java.applet.*;import javax.swing.*;public class AudioTest extends JApplet { AudioClip test= getAudioClip(getCodeBase(), "com_go.wav"); public void run() { test.play(); }It compiled fine, and im pretty sure the syntax is cool. Than, i created the following main program to test it:public class Main { public static void main(String[] args) { AudioTest test = new AudioTest(); test.run(); } }I get cannot resolve symbol errors for the AudioTest instantiation. The proper files are compiled and in the same folder so I know that isnt the problem. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the class uses elements of an applet without ever actually creating one? The AudioClip methods and constructors are all part of the applet package. Please help }

after weeks of completely unhassled Steam use, it suddenly deicided to break on me. Now, everytime I try to load FA, it crashes with an illegal operation. I dont know WTH is wrong, as I have done nothing to the settings or anything, I simply started up steam and now it doesnt work, go figure. I think CS and my other mods are FUBAR as well though because i tried to join a CS game and it didnt crash but i kept getting a client dropped message. I wonder what they were smoking when they took a great idea like Steam and made it a new synonym for debacle.

bah, SWG was buggier than Halo PC, i lost 50 freakin bucks AGAIN! to a crappy game from another company that interprets pre-alpha-duct taped-half built in house test RC as "complete and sellable".

im going to agree with Klif on this one with rights. Steam sucked to begin with, it was buggier than the beta and a gawdawful piece of crap. They have since fixed it for the most part. Some ppl are still going to get unexplained errors that wont seem to go away, I think they are exempt from the stupidity net. The rest the ppl out there whining cause THEY screwed up steam or were to lazy to go and seek help and instead decided to just bitch about Steam, yeah, they are Stupid.

I wanted to try out the new Remington but all the servers were suffering from that stupid metamod bug that wont let you get the new gun. So i started up my own server and the weirdest bug came to light. I bought a sterling, a rem and nomenclature. I fired the sterling, yes the sterling and WHAMMO it fired off shotgun shells (even ejected them as spent casings) at a super speed. I filled the entire facade of blue base in golan with buckshot holes with one clip. Thinking holy crap to myself I take out the rem, and test fire it. It makes no sound, makes no animation, and leaves no bullet holes but it does decrement the ammo count and it does reload. WTF, i hope its just me because if this bug functions on a wide scale, than the sterling auto shotty will become the uber glitched weapon of all time, able to take out ENTIRE squads of men in a single clip.

psy 4, i have emule and overnet, and I am forever waiting to DL, I never get to the head of a queue, it takes me weeks sometimes to DL even the smallest things, can you help?

can you feed an array of undefined size to a method or have one as a class variable? Say i want a method to accept an array as a parameter, but i dont want to specifiy what array size. Further, is there a function i can use to find an array's size. Really bsaic stuff, i know, but i am UBER rusty.

PLease, someone help me with steam, it is badly misbehaving. First, everytime i try and open it, it takes about 5 minutes for it to actually pop up. Second, i cant log on half the time, third, If i try to DL any content it crashes, fourth, I can change any net activity options, fifth I cant play any games do to random errors and lockups. The steam beta worked beautifully but this new 388mb piece of crap barely functions, and I really want to use Steam. Someone please help. PSI dont have XP's firewall enabled so all ports should be open, i checked that block at the Steam FAQ page

i admit i DL music, but for th most part it is obscure stuff id never find on a CD. I know i should stop Dling newer more popular songs, but for the same reasons as Mac, as well as my own human hypocrisy i prolly wont. I do think that suing the 12 year old is the right thing to do, but a 2000 dollar settlement (yes, it is a lot less than 150000 max), Come on! Shes 12 for gods sake.
