  1. The other site would have worked, but the time needed to get it up to speed would have been too long. I have invested to much time in creating the old site (IPBoard), and have decided to keep what we have. We will, however, update to the newer version of the IPBoard software when I think the time is right. Sorry for all the confusion, Larry (Gator)
  2. Hey Battlefield 4 players, is it me, or does this tower look familiar to anyone else http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/25/dharahara-tower-nepal-earthquake_n_7142484.html
  3. Okay, let me give you the low-down: InvisionBoard Costs $175 for the base board, $50 for IP.Content module, $65 for IP.Gallery module, for a total of $290 (all of which I paid for with my personal money) I also bought a few third party add-ons for an additional approx $100, so I spent about 400 of my own personal funds for the software (I, me, personally own the software). With that said, the clan recently started helping pay for some of the support and updates which run about $70 every 6 months. Xenforo Costs $140, which I purchased for my other website. It hasn't been used, so I thought I would use it for our site. At least see if everyone would like it. The downside is I would have to initially pay for the support for one year @ $40, and if I add a Gallery module, it would cost $60, plus $10 more dollars a year for updates and support. If we wanted to have the donate module, I would have to purchase it for another $50 vBulletin 4.0 I also own a copy of that software, but it is no longer used, and they have limited support for it. phpBB Is a free forum software, and is very nice, but lacks some features you get from the paid software. It is free though... Lastly, you said we can't justify the cost, because we don't have that much traffic to the site. I beg to differ with you. We want all of our members to have the best of the best possible, and we want to be proud of our site. Aesthetics, functionality, and speed are important, and I was just trying to get everyone's opinion about the Xenfore forum board. In the long run, it would save us money, and yet give us the latest in web technology for our members ...even if there were only 5 of us.
  4. Here is you name in the member section. It is better you use the search, because there are several thousand names in the database. http://www.colormypix.com/xenforo/index.php?members/list&page=74 Sorry for not finding my name. I accidentally converted it during the import. If we we go "live," I will import the most current database for use.
  5. No, I own the software. I guess you didn't read my post carefully. Invisionboard cost $100 a year for support and updates. Xenforo is $40 a year. I asked evertyone to sign in and give it a test. From what I see, nobody has even taken the time to sign in, which is unfortunate
  6. What do you mean? I don't understand what you are trying to point out
  7. I own a copy of Xenforo forum software, and I am thinking about using it for our site. I have an old demo site set up to test, so when you get a chance, could you please log in and test it out. Post a message, start a poll, send a private message to me and test it out. The database is old, so if you are new to The Armroy forum, you may need to register. Also, besure to click on a users avatar and look at the pop-up ...very cool There are many things I like about this software. It is blazing fast, and clean and easy to do things. Anyway, please let me know in this post Here is the Site: http://www.colormypix.com/xenforo/index.php
  8. I was left with no choice, and had to set the site back to the old forum system. I was lucky in that I found an old backup from last year that had all the old files. whew! Anyway, they have major issues with their software at this time, so I will wait until they get their shit together and release a product that works, I have been doing the website stuff for more than 13 years, and this one busted my butt, and I lost about 50 hours of my life dealing with this shit. When they have a steady release, I will try to upgrade then. This time I will fully test the release on a test site prior to launching. Sorry for all the downtime, but this was out of my control.
  9. Multipurpose squad. If it were vehicles involved, for example, I know that TFD2001 and Laughing Fat Man (LFM1) are some serious mac-daddy vehicle whores, and are some of the best we got.
  10. Need to squad with ya some more.
  11. Yes, there are many good players, but which 4 would make up your squad.
  12. I was thinking about Battlefield and squads today. What Armory members would make for a good squad? Although I enjoy gaming with most members here, here are my picks for what I believe is the best “A Team” for me… How about yours. ThomasPC Danbaron Slashdawg swiftvengeance31 There are better shooters in the clan, but like me, these guys are decent shooters, for sure. They contribute hugely to squad play (teamwork), and I know they always have my back. If I am paired with them, we would get Ace squad most of the time.
  13. Okay, I tried it, but it didn't work. I will continue to fire up my IE browser.
  14. Thanks for sharing, Axlerod.
  15. Stay on topic, and don't fuel the fire!!!!!!!
  16. No, I didn't play too much and get burned out. It wasn't that at all. If I was burnt out, I would have stated so in my remarks above. Yes, whenever I purchase anything, I expect it to meet my expectations, which this product failed to do. Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't want to be refunded, because I still would like to see the servers stay funded.
  17. I found the game was actually enjoyable, but I do feel EA should have made it an expansion pack to BF4 rather than a full game. I have read and listened to all the little comments over the past month or so, and all I can say is the reaction to the game was unfortunate, especially from those who didn't play the final product. Here are a few of my opinions of the game: - The graphics are par with BF4, but the game is not smooth, even after tweaking - The 60% health is an issue, and should have been addressed by DICE. Beware, the next Battlefield/Battlefront game may have the same issue with Hardcore as well. - Even though the game offered a 30-day free trial, most people didn't give the game a chance, but instead gave reasons and excuses why they didn't want to get it <--- pathetic - A few server crash issues, as well as a few map changing issues on the server side - I was lead to believe more people were going to get the game, so I dropped $100 and rented a couple of servers to accommodate everyone ...that will never happen again, ever! ADDED: Lastly, I have asked, and have received a refund for the game. I will not longer be playing it
  18. I bet he could run BFH on High settings with that rig :klinked:
  19. Very nice
  20. None of the above.
  21. Armory Hardline Server at 1:48 AM EST I changed the name and put the [TAC] in front of the name, and "poof" /monthly_03_2015/post-2-0-73099600-1426744245_thumb.png
  22. Nice find. Very cool stuff.
  23. Well, this might be the case, but why do they not publicly address it. Very Strange.
  24. - I added spam messages using PunkBuster config file It will let them know our TS server info and such - Created an all maps map list for the 64-player Conquest server - Created a Heist, Bloodmoney, and Hotwire mixed mode server - I will be able to kick a player if you have trouble, but I have to execute a console command from the master panel using direct RCON. Very ugly, indeed
