The issue involved a lot of people and we were not completely sure who was involved, so we temporarily banned DoL players until we could get things cleared up. Alll bans were lifted with the exception of the guilty parties involved. My apologies to all DoL members for this unfortunate incident.This thread is now OFFICIALLY CLOSED

When you kick and ban the 2nd in command of TA from your server and call him names before and after a match.....I WILL NOT TOLLERATE THAT EVER. Macgyver is not only the 2nd in command of TA, but he is also my friend, and I am mighty damn pissed right now over this incident. I very much like Wellsy, Reed, and a few other memebrs of DoL, and this will only be temporary until we resolve the TA bashing and disrecpect issue.

To get a virus, you must receive it through email, or you downloaded something from another sorce. Gaming does not cause viruses. I use Norton Anti-virus and I never get viruses. Be careful what you doenload. Make sure it is from a good source.

If thats the Helicopter training map...well...it is a crappy map and it just looks like thatfor training only

When I had to reconfigure all the DC setting by-hand, I forgot to turn on logging, so the logs will be starting today. I will (or Claymore Carl) will ersae the few prior logs. Good news is that the server is now tweaked for optimum perfomance, and the stats will be coming back to the site as CalymoreCarl is going to make it happen. Thanks Carl

For those of you who have non-working avatars, or those who have tried to upload avatars but got an error message, they have been fixed. Everyone, please fix your sig pics and avatars. You must to to your Internet browser and delete the files to see if your files still exeist on the web. If you don't, you may see your pics, but the rest of the world does not. Also, please limit the size of you sig/avatar. Some of you have been getting a little carried away with the size.

All of the map cycle links (on left) have been updated with the latest info.

Well, I can tell you that I found a 3rd problem (and hopefully last) with the server today, but it was fixed and is running smooth as silk now. When we forced a map change, it was starting another instance of BF1942. This caused the server to run several DC games hitting the processer pretty hard. Well, it was fixed today, so let me know how the game plays for now

Tell me honestly, are they really teaching you guys that stuff? Many of your facts are not very accurate. Baseball, for instance, was not an invention of Canada. But, if you really believe those things, then it's ok by me As long as you are happy I would list all of the inventions and accomplishments the U.S. has contributed, but it would be so long that the TA database could not store all of the text. P.S. We did let a few Canadians fly on the Space Shuttle after we properly trained them. Also, I agree that Canada invetnted Molson Ale....very good stuff I might add.

I found out what was causing the Map Cycle Rotation problem. I was using a program called "FireDaemon" which creates a Windows "Service". This program does not like BF1942, so I created a service using "srvany.exe", a windows program that is very similar. I also incresed the player size back to 26 players, so lets see how it works tonight. It should work well.

A new album was created and entitiled "Scorebords and other boring Text" IF you have any screenshots of scoreboards, or other text, please place it in this album. We want to keep all of the screenshots of actual gamplay for the other albums. Thanks!

The DC stats were using a MySQL database I set up on the server. It grew to be over 78 MB in size (very large for MySQL). Becuase of this, it was taking more and more resources for the pages to be generated. I saw it spike up when players were paying and took almost 90% CPU isage. Well, what does that mean? It lagged the server tremendously, and cause "Connection" issues as well as laggy gameplay. Becuase of this, I had to shut them down. I will look for another solution to see if we can get them back up. For now, just play and have fun.

Well, let me see...hmm TA has been popular for quite some time. We try to recruit good people (friendly), and not people who are good (skill). They join TA for the same reason that they play on the TA server. They want to be a part of something that has a friendly environment and treats them with respect. The TA clan is run by a bunch of odler guys who already know a few things about the concept of organization.The other clans you refer to only take players who "tryout" and are really "good". If they are not, they are turned down and not allowed to join. We also take players that are good, but we also take players that are not as good. We look at the applicant's character and how they are as a person, and not how well they can click a mouse. :PWe have over 100 applications pending now. We monitor the applicants and observe their actions on the server, and over time, and if we fell they are TA material, we ask them to join.FA shot themselves in the foot with their poorly moderated forums. Anything was allowed there, and it ended up chasing people away from FA. So sad

We are doing both, because we like both.
