What version of CS you guys playing...the 1.5 or the latest steam version?I had a buddy of mine talk me into playing CS again for the first time in many many many months. I put the old steam version I had on and let it update...btw the beta is not dead. Anyway I tried out the famas and it was cool. I had fun but there are a lot of hacks still and people running their head almost nonstop. I caught myself dropping the console then realizing I couldn't admin_slay! Dang it! If TA had a CS server that was well policed then the game would be a lot better but I still like my FA! I have noticed from playing here so long listening the crap on other servers get old fast! The people that mess up and get banned from the TA server really dont know what a good thing they are missing!

Shadow I think his is more like pop ads the appear for no reason even when not surfing or when going to a page even though that page may not have popups. Right?

Go to download.com do a seach for "search and destroy spybot remover" or something like that. Then download the updates for it kinda like the nortons liveupdate thing. They have new updates for it all the time. Scan your system..........then use the immunize (spelling?) button and block all bad programs(key loggers) this should take care of your problem after you get all the spyware/adware crap off you computer. Dude those are some good games! Almost all games have to be patched.....I have played HL since it first came out and if you played it from the start then you know it too had problems. Most every game out had probs when they first come out. The thing is a lot of the time it is not found because the may only have 100-200 beta testers at best. When the game is released thousands of people are playing and some of the bugs are then found. Thus patches.....If we waited for "perfect" release it would suck so bad to wait year after year for a game that may not even make it. Take TF2 that still has not come out......I have been lusting over that game for about 2-3 years or however long it was first talked up. Now there is a rumor it MAY come out with HL2...one can only hope! When and/or if TF2 is released I can see it taking the place of FA because from what I have been reading it is very much like FA only better teamplay and graphics...not to mention more GUNS!

I tried the stop sound and it didnt work. I the stopsound only works on things like the door sound that keeps playing. It is the EAX most of the time. I will show you how to fix it you will remind me.

I think it has something to do with the EAX checked in the sound options. I am not 100% sure but I will check on it.

I came from CS to FA....now that is a switch.

Yes he is talking about CD....If that doesnt work PM [TA]-Strobes. He had a problem with CD and had to copy some .dll file manually to get it to work.

I have been noticing wierd files appearing in my HL directory with wierd symbols and not extention. The files show to be 0 bytes in size. There were hundreds of them. I started noticing them appear a few months ago. :? Anyway I deleted them :shock: I may have wished I had not but they are in my recycle bin if I need to restore them. I was just wondering if anyone knows what they are?Thanks[TA]-StateCopPS they were in the C:SIERRAHalf-Life directory.

If you post what it is doing someone here will most likely be able to help you with it.

I am guessing if the install disk comes with directX it would be 8 or maybe 9.Again that is just a guess. I would download the latest version though if it were me.....but I am not the "tech god" type though.

California.... out on the "left" coast The FAL take offs I saw were in the shotgun news a few months ago. I bet you have seen them. If any of you guys have seen a shot gun news go to the books store. It is a great place to find guns for sale.

sharpshooter I think that is a .30 cal MG and a .308 rifle just by the looks :wink: . I saw a MG42 on a mount very much like that one....I would love to have 1 of each If you ever get down south bring some toys and let me know! We will go shoot.....I can round up some UMP45 and all the CAR15, and countless handguns.Either way COOOOOL pics!!!BTW is that the full HK parts or did you have to get one of those new imported lowers? I looked into buying some of the FAL that had the new US parts....wasnt sure how good they would be with the new parts though........thought you may know.

I didnt get to add my two cents to the original topic. I love FA but IF TA ever changes games AND TFC2 is release I wouldnt mind seeing us move to that game/mod which ever it is. The reason I say that is because it appears to have a lot of the same qaulities of FA with a lot of the same demands for team work. Keep in mind I have never played a beta or anything I am just going by what I have read.Again that is just my two cents.............

hit "control" and "PrintScreen" when you have the page open. This will copy your whole screen to clipboard...........Then go to paintshop or photoshop and click edit....then paste from clipboard to new image. The it is just a matter of cutting out what you want. I do this by cutting and copy inside painshop....then what I paste as a new image is what you see above....after it is saved....It is very easy.

There are several programs you can use and even some free ones on the net. I use photoshop, but you can do a search for converting .bmp to .jpg on google and there maybe some free ones out there. If you have something you need converted really bad and you have a fast connection you can email it to me and I will convert 1 or 2 for you.

You need to convert them to .jpg files first so they will be smaller. I am guessing you are talking about screen shots right?
