1. There is one, almost foolproof way to stop cheaters.... It's called, "Player hosted game servers". No hacker will survive Gator's and Axle's ban hammer!
2. https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/f29a78a3056f7ff8c32d0afd4f29e02339ac93cdffecfeb2cad50f74b2692a40/detection Looks like potentially adware/riskware. Only hit on webroot and yandex though
3. I love The Expanse. One of the best Sci Fi shows of all time!
4. No games at all right now :-( I'm finishing up some work and with any luck, I'll be done by Friday! Then it's game on and I can't wait to do some gaming!
5. Here is my office/gaming zone. Not so much gaming lately though :-(
6. "89.40.104.163" That is a Bucharest, Romanian IP. I did not find any active malicious entries per HSIN. They are running a PureFTP server on that IP. Larry, do you happen to have the IP address of the user that came in?
7. Wow man that's awesome! Doesn't he play all the instruments in his songs now? Kind of like a one man band?
8. I wish there was an actual Music Television like we used to have. ? WTF, teen mom on MTV, seriously? Or Lindsey Lohan shows all day? YARGHHH I HATE THE NEW MTV. I wouldn't even be watching anything else on TV if we had a good TV channel where we could pick the genre
9. Joe, that's a pretty good Oldies playlist man
10. Reshade is nice, but it's been known to 'enhance' vision. It's ok, I use one of the oldest hacks in the book. I tape a crosshair to my computer monitor screen DICE will never catch that one
11. I just want to say another thing about Galaxies since you brought it up and I'm getting all nostalgic and sad. I think a game like that would be almost perfect for this clan right now and I bet Gator and Axle would love it. This game can be casual, can be slow if you want, but if there is action going on, it can also be VERY intense. I remember living in a player city in Lok, and about a ten minute drive by Speeder, there was another player city who was our mortal enemy. It was constant battles because we were at war. We would log in to find our city in ruins and find out some story about how they raided our city earlier in the day. So we would of course plan revenge, get everybody we could and just kick their ass whenever we got a chance. They would definitely bloody our nose though and some battles could have went either way. What really sucked is when you were trapped in a cloner and they wouldn't let you leave, and you HAD TO GET your clan there to get you out or risk having your items destroyed and damaged forever. I could go on and on... Would love to play a similar game like this with TAC
12. You're kidding me man, I friggen LOVED Galaxies, I swear it was one of the BEST GAMES OF ALL TIME before it was ruined by the devs. I know a subscription based game will work if it is done right, like Galaxies used to be. Galaxies wasn't pay to win either, you either had some skill or you didn't. Of course, finding the best items wasn't very easy.
13. That game probably would have been too hard for them to make! Why make an immersive, deep, expansive universe when they can make a quick buck with a crap game
14. You can put a couple of your fav 80's metal here man. I friggen love 80's metal
15. Cool thread! I love a lot of different music, here is one of my favorite country songs ever One of my favorite hair songs ever, one of my fav rap, one of my fav rock, another of my fav rock, and another of my fav rock I've actually seen Ozzy in concert, that's how old I am ?
16. Hey Sharp, what kind of sound system do you have in that rover
17. I love Star Trek but haven't even watched the first season of the new series. Waiting for it to get to Amazon Prime or Netflix or Hulu
18. If a developer is planning using the processing power of a cell phone as their platform, I will not be buying it! Nuff said! If minimum specs are 980 GTX, 16GB RAM, i7 processor, now we are talking. Cloud based can cover that whole range.
19. It could be argued that most games are "cloud-based". There are just so many definitions and so many different levels about how much computing should take place in the cloud. What I've leaned about cloud-based computing done right, a rather significant chunk of processing takes place on the end-point local computer systems. If done right, display lag should not change as those types of processing tasks should still be performed locally. Of course, video game developers are notorious for F'king things up.
20. Ok, well I loaded it up, still 1 1/2 hours to try the game with Steam. It's a fun game, seems fairly good so far. It doesn't seem like a run and gun game because it's mostly one shot one kill. A wrong move means you're dead very fast. It's a Military vs. Terrorist type of scenario. It seems somewhat like Battlefield in that it has conquest type of mode. It could be fun, but I need my squad mates, you know. Namely Gator and other TAC personnel. So I'm going to just put it on the backburner for awhile and see if anyone else starts playing, if not, I'll just return it. Other than decent FPS gameplay, the one thing it has going for it is that a clan can rent a server. If anyone else wants to try it and if I'm online, I'll hop in with you.
21. I think this game looks awesome, very interested
22. Happy New Year to you and everyone!
23. That's just a nightmare. I'd literally cry ? if water killed my computer. Noctua's are nice! I'm doing a new case build this weekend and got me four noctuas, I'm excited
