Wow, I have almost the same specs as you, i5 3570k and exact same Mobo. I have a GTX 780 and a bit concerned I will have to upgrade. My PC doesn't even meet min specs! I like that video card. I prefer the gigabyte versions more though for durable builds

KOTH is really fun. Just got done playing in a 120 man server, there were about 100 people there. The objective is to occupy towers in the city. There were about three pilots on our team ferrying players from the spawn point to a drop off point on the outskirts of the city. Had a blast!

Past couple days I've been hitting up some KOTH servers, wish I had some armory bros with me and do a TAC style insertion.

Couldn't agree more. I feel ARMA could be the best game of all time if we developed good PVP scenarios. I really think that game could be the future.

I mean obviously right? Of all the things to keep secret until launch day, community servers is one of them? Ok, I get the fun idea of maybe keeping the fact we may be riding horses in Battlefield 1 secret, but nope, that was revealed, or that we may have shovels and swords as weapons, but yet again, that was revealed. Hold up just a minute, I'm about ready to finish my first cup of coffee in the morning, which by the way shows my ostentatious coffee snob elitism, or the fact that I am an aging gamer that can barely move in the morning without a jolt, and I'm not talking about the wife's elbow. This time of day represents my clearest thoughts, so bare with me... Are the EA/DICE devs really flirting with the idea to take away community ran servers? Why would they be waiting so long to tell us this news? There are few answers in my opinion, and all are unacceptable. First possible answer, yes, the Devs are flirting with the idea and seriously considering removing community servers like they did with Battlefront. We got the teaser reveal that there would be a server browser, but that's it. That tells us practically nothing actually. It sounds to me like we will get to pick the ruleset we want to play at a very minimum. Second answer? The game must still be so horribly unfinished such that community browsers just aren't implemented yet. This would mean that the Devs would have a total of two remaining months to implement community servers and work all the bugs out. That sounds like an awful deadline to achieve considering how long it took BF4 to have decent community netplay. For such a short release cycle, they must certainly be using older game code meaning we will not be playing on a new gaming engine, but just new gaming skins. Hardline anyone? Either way, whether the Devs are flriting with the idea of taking away community run servers, or whether the game is an unfinished mess, or a little bit of both, we deserve better. If we are waiting for a sign whether we should move on and find another game, maybe this is it.

Graphics and gameplay look good but always a little wary about any kickstarter games. It seems like most are vaporware!

Electrician said the ground was disconnected at the meter and that's why the surge went through several circuits and electrical components. The cable company used the meter chassis as a ground but the chassis wasn't properly grounded and so the coax likely carried an unchecked surge right through all those devices. Check your grounds guys!

We've been having thunderstorms past few days here in Colorado. Saturday night, lightning struck very close to my home taking out my modem, router, switch, Linux DVR server, and even blowing a hole through copper air conditioning water line along with other devices. Pretty much everything that was left turned on downstairs was fried including clocks and even the carbon monoxide alarm. I'm pretty bummed but glad no one was hurt. The gaming PC does appear to be ok. Hoping I don't find more electronics fried. The gaming PC and server were behind a surge protected UPS but I think the surge came in through the coax. Even a decent surge protector isn't going to stop a lightning strike though :-(

No kidding. Star Wars Battlefront was the biggest joke release of all time. How they could just ruin that name with a buggy unplayable mess is beyond words. They better not ruin BF1. I'm telling ya guys, ARMA3 is where it's at. If we just had more people we could have unparalleled PvP that would blow battlefield away

Can't always go by stats. He may have just bought hack software for getting owned so much. It appears cheat software was detected. From pbbans: The default "punishment" for raising a PunkBuster™ software cheat violation is a 2 minute kick, it is the proactive server admin or third party anti cheat service that turns that 2 minute kick into a permanent ban. PBBans also provides, unique, up to date MD5 scans that enhance standard PunkBuster™ software and also issues bans on submitted PB screenshots that show cheat use / ingame demos showing cheat use (where applicable) and cheat related cvars (where applicable) There is also a myriad of tools and features available to server admins that stream their servers via PBBans. http://www.pbbans.com/about-pbbans.html So what is interesting is PB only issues two minute kicks based on cheat detection. It's up the the admins or third party software to make it permanent. What likely happened is PB detected the cheat software and pbbans made it permanent. His legit stats were probably legit before his recent cheat software purchase.

I am starting to feel like it's high time I do some password changing, but if there is anything I hate more, it's going to all the different websites or logins I have and trying to remember everything and all the different passwords. Most of the time I have to do a security input and get password resets, that's basically my whole life, password resets. I use the same password across several websites and even have same username. I know I'm asking for trouble especially seeing I do so much buying, selling, and general financial activity online. I'm afraid to try password apps, how secure are those? I can come up with good passwords. I use the passphrase method. For example, using the second letter of 'tHe rAin iN sPain fAlls mAinly oN tHe pLain' converts into the password hanpaanhl, and to beef it up more, capitalize the 3rd letter, replace the p with a symbol and replace h with the number 4, the password becomes 4aN|aan4l. Ok great, now I have an awesome password, let me go and use this on all my logins. So what if a website gets hacked and now has my shiny new awesome password and because I use the same username everywhere, it makes everything so vulnerable. I don't think I can remember a separate passphrase for each and every login, I can barely remember what I'm supposed to do Saturday morning. How do you deal with passwords? I don't want to be like Francis

I also use creative, but 5.1 headsets aren't necessary. Surround sound and 3d audio can be simulated with two drivers.
