It means that he is using a code key that is already registered to someone else which means someone either hacked it or he gave someone the key to use as well but with the recent steam changes you can no longer share code keys. thats all i can think of.

Who knows maybe they're trying to change the minimum requirements to a 64 bit proccessor and a 256mb video card and so on and so forth . I do know I read that they're implementing a new anticheat system that is ID related. Maybe that is what is holding them up cause you can see how well they did that with regular HL. Anyway they'll release it when they release it, you know they always try to wet your appetites before a release its just that sierra and valve always leaking news too early. But anyway I'll bide my time like everyone else .
  13. I'm not Mac but I can tell you, as soon as unitedadmins releases a new version.
  14. i hate this error especially after you just left the game to go to the bathroom or to go get something to drink. You come back expecting to be able to join in where you left off then boom this comes up. Did I ever mention this"Steam you got to love it".
  15. I do not wish these things on anyone but I like seeing things like this for some reason, maybe its the morbid side of my personality.
  16. do a exit and logout of steam the restart steam and login again that cleared it up for me on error 31:)
  17. btw if you get a validation error when trying to join a game: do a exit and logout from steam then login again it worked for me. Now if it wouldn't give me 1200-1500 ping spikes i would be happy. But like i said before got to love it .
  18. To make a long story short, they released yet another faulty version. Got to love it .
