This just underlines my whole reason for despising the FA community, or at least the Elitist jackass's that did nothing but throw rocks at the peaple working their asses off to try and fix the damn game. What sgossard did was dispicable, and only further confirms my assertion that nothing good will come out of that corner of the world. There are procedures that should be followed... They weren't followed... And for this, he has zero respect from me.

Just a word of advice, most peaple don't think the Medic unlock is worth it (apparently has some accuracy and damage issues), but most of the other ones are decent if you like the class they are attached to. I started a post several weeks ago about unlocks you might want to look up, get peaple's impressions of the weapons they unlocked.

I catch even a whiff that these forums is going to end up in the same mood as the now deceased FA forums (and good riddance to that trash), and I'm going to start making generious use of my ban stick!

I read a series of books based on the original Doom... once you got past all the Morman propaganda the author snuck in, it wasn't a bad book. Anything with The Rock in it, I'd like to see tho.

I enjoyed the free unlocks while it happened, gave me a chance to sample what was out there so I could make a more informed decision on my next unlock. OMG, that DAO12 is SICK! ABSOLUTELY SICK! Damn that thing is powerful.

I miss shoulder mounted SAM's. The AA in this game is so-so. Just powerful enough to keep me from complaining, but not powerful enough to make me satisfied. All SAM sites are static, and any good pilot will know where they all are and turn to take them out the moment they hear a lock tone. Mobile vehicles with SAMs are few and far between.

That is not the norm, but it's enough of a concern that alot of public schools in america are starting to consider dress codes. Before I left California, because of gang violence many of the schools was already starting to enact these dress code restrictions. Especially since the WAY a person dresses can ID you as a member of a particular gang, and when two gangs have a war going on, just the way you dress can get you killed on the spot. Thankfully, this doesn't happen in the majority of the schools. It happens in enough of them to be a serious concern. Guns are the big deal around here, it's knives more than anything. Just about every redneck kid has a pocket knife and gets quite irate when you try to take them away *chuckle*. You'd think you were taking away their best friend or something the way they carry on.

I stopped playing GW because the quality of players I'm used to playing with is not up to snuff. You got a bunch of l33t snobs or peaple who just can't follow direction. Now, pretty much all I do is solo... I just can't stand groups in that game. Sticking to EQ

Man, I'm so tired of that "They're only 16" crap. If you know good from bad and you pull crap like this, you need to suffer the consiquences. That's what's why this country is going down the tubes, nobody wants to be accountable for their own actions anymore. I think the worst thing this country ever did for their teenagers was make it so that their records for anything except the most serious offenses get's sealed when they turn 18. They figure "hey, I can screw around, it ain't gonna matter after I'm 18 anyway!" Bah! /rant off

System Restore, of course! *slaps self* Restoring to the day before I uninstalled worked like a charm, I was able to retrieve the key. The game is installing as we speak. Thanks for the help guys!

I checked the registry, the game has been removed as it was uninstalled. So that idea is out.

So... I went to reinstall the game per the instruction concerning the 1.01 patch issues.... Unfortunatly, the game didn't seem to give me an option to just reinstall over the folder, so I uninstalled it. Of course, it asked me for the key. I went looking for the game manual that had the key on it.... gone, missing, misplaced. I went thru my game manual drawer... gone! I found every damn BF manual except the one for BF2! DOH! Have the case, just no manual... dang it. Looked up how I can get another... I need to have the game 90 days first, spend 10 bucks, and send them the original CD as proof I bought the game. Guess I'm out of action for awhile folks. Sorry :/

Good comments on the strategty Torch, I have some counterpoints to add. Being really good at one class is good and all, but it doesn't hurt to have a secondary class you are decent with to fall back too if the situation warrents it. My favorite class is a good example. I'm primary a support man who really shines on city maps with alot of close knit teammates. City maps force more infantry action which let's me use the firepower of my PKM, and close knit teammates allow me to do what I do best... keep friends in ammo. However, maps that are more spread out favor armor and vehicles more... so unless there's an AT or Spec Ops guy I can follow around and keep fed with ammo, I'll switch to AT or Medic myself so I feel like I'm doing useful for the team. Firing in short, controlled, bursts works great for up to medium range. But if you get to extreme ranges, you're going to have to switch to single shot if you want a chance in hell to hit your target. Knowing the maps, hell yah, that's a big key. Learning where the hiding places are, where the gun emplacements are, ect gives you an edge. A helicopter pilot who knows where all the stinger sites are can make sure he lines up his shots to take them out first or where to dip behind obstacles to keep him safe. Another thought... see if you can find a vehicle your team can work with well. All players in vehicle get points as the gunners make kills. Therefore, a team that can keep the vehicle running will rack up the points together. This game has given me some wonderful memories of great teamwork. One of my best TAC memories was when Lagalot, Sharp, myself, and a couple others were working together toward a point. We only have one vehicle, a M1 Abrams. We were having trouble approaching the command point we wanted due to a sniper. Remembering a couple Russian missions in "Call of Duty : United Offensive", I suggested we all walk BEHIND the tank, shielding us from the sniper. Worked like a charm, we got halfway across the open field this way. The tank driver (Lagalot, I think?) piped up he had 2 or 3 infantry jumping into the trees to the left of him, one of which was an AT. The rest of us guys sprinted from behind the tank into the trees and owned the guys fixing to take out our tank... Man.. the symbiosis between our tanker and his infantry support was awesome! Then there was this fenceline I was trying to help hold. We had two AT folks firing rockets thru this gap at a pair of APC's in the water on the other side.... they must of had an engie going because the bastards just wouldn't die. However, our 2 AT guys had myself as support and a medic backing them up. Medpacks, ammo bags, and spent rocket launchers littered the ground as APC fire exploded around us... man it was a rush. We all died multiple times, but we held the command point and eventually killed the APC's

I played Lineage 2 during the Beta phase. By itself, I thought it was a fine game. The problems I had with it overall were few. However, 2 things kept me from buying it. 1) Nothing was being done about adena pharming bots. 2) The monthly subscription was at the time an average of 5 dollars more a month compared to the games I already played... and I didn't see anything in Lineage 2 in the way of gameplay features I wasn't already getting from games like Everquest, Dark Age Of Camelot, City Of Heroes, and Anarchy Online. (all of the above I still have installed and occasionally pay and play) However, #2 has become moot as many of the games I've listed have raised their subcription prices to around the same price L2 is charging now. If the bots and adena pharmers have been dealt with, then I will probably come back to Lineage. On a side note, I will be picking up World of Warcraft and possibly even Mourning sometime this year.
