This actually explains alot of those situations where I was "WTF? Why didn't he die? I was aiming for the chest and neck!" The arm was blocking those shots. Pity they don't have coding like DoD. For the M1 Garand, they did some coding in DoD that has the game check and see when the right arm is hit to see if the bullet would of hit the chest if the arm wasn't there. If so, it registers as a chest hit instead of an arm hit. This was to help give the Garand more 1 shot kills. Pity they didn't go far enough IMO. Nice work on the stats Jasun :peace:

At least a couple of the "locked" ones would be nice to have for the inevitable times we'll have to lock the thread. If somebody could clean up the "banned" pic that was shown earlier, I would LOVE to see that used as well.

Man, I can't believe you revived this old post. I sold the Cavalier for junk a long time ago and replaced it with a Corsica In the end, I ended up replacing the Module Pack, Ignition Sensor, and one other thing. No, there was no timing belt involved as the thing wouldn't crank at all. I broke a timing belt on a Chevette once, I know what to look for in that kind of thing. In the end, I figured since the thing had 300K miles on it, I didn't want to put anymore money into it.

Wife was in the beta for this game many moons ago and was given a "bring a friend" CD key last month. I played with the key out of curiosity and subsiquently got hooked. *chuckle* And that is why I haven't been on the CS:S server lately. I have just realised it's been about a week and a half and I've been neglecting my admin duties. I'll try to be logged into vent from now on when I play CoH and be available to do whatever needs to be done on the CSS server if there is no admin's present playing. I apologise if smacktards who should of been dealt with haven't been dealt with because I was gone

I gave the opportunity for regulars to come post here and offer their opinions. However, since it's evident that our regulars outside the clan (save a couple) love to complain in the game, but are too lazy to come here and post their opinion, they obviously don't care enough about seeing the gun limited. My recomendation at this point is to leave it as it is. You don't like the rifle, deal with it. This does not agree with my personal feelings on the matter, but we are who we are afterall. And limiting a weapon works against what we have stood for. Besides, it was oh so fun putting Disposable Hero in his place with one of these cheese rifles after he killed me camping MY SPAWN

Okay, I didn't ask for a flame war here. Any post I see from this point forward that contains the words "Duh!" or "Noob" or "Crybaby" is going to be DELETED like I did for Jimmy's. I wanted this to be a mature discussion, not a freakin' flamewar. If you guys can't behave like civilised peaple for more than a few seconds... I find it odd that the peaple who are against the ban or limit don't play CSS as much as most of us who want to see it limited tho. And those who DO play CSS alot and want it limited, top the charts with the kills with the weapon. Only reason I am in favor of it is because I HAVE used the weapon, and I KNOW how cheesy they are. My favored weapon without a doubt in CSS is the FAMAS. I have outsniped AUTOSNIPERS THEMSELVES with the dang thing. But when I pick up these weapons, the sheer cheesyness of how easy it is to kill with them is scary. The weak point of this weapon is close to medium range combat. Here, the above mentioned counters work like a charm. Smoke and FB's on long range maps like Aztec and Italy are not a viable counter. There is enough distance from the smoke itself that the sniper has time to react. And if flashbangs aren't close enough (And often misthrown and blinds the attackers rushing anyway) the window of opportunity to get the blinded sniper is too short. It's just THESE TWO maps that I have this issue. Otherwise, I could care less about wiether or not it's limited on the rest of them. The opinion is dead set against it seems however, but I will ask that if you do have an opinion, AT LEAST PLAY THE GAME AWHILE. And no, we are not banning the AWP or the the M4 or the AK. These weapons are NOT cheesy. The AWP makes the player move slow and is cost prohibative. The M4 and the AK top the charts not because of their cheesyness, but because they are the MOST USED weapons due to their great balance between cost and effectiveness. (That was really a piss poor arguement bringing the M4 and AK into it to begin with)

Uhhh, don't be so sure this weapon isn't banned or limited in some way. I asked Spasm and others on the server to post their thoughts earlier today, as I caught wind that we MIGHT be considering limiting it. One autosniper by itself is not that big of a deal... but when you face a full team of them defending their objective on long range maps like Aztec and Italy, it becomes a bit of a nuisance. I personally wouldn't mind it limited to just 1 a team, but that's up to the rest of you all. I don't want to see it banned outright.

Let me add to that the following. Go to this site, http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/ Download SpywareBlaster. This bad boy will PREVENT spyware in both IE and FireFox. You don't need to keep it running, just start it up to enable or disable protections and update it. It has dramatically reduced the spyware I get.

I gave this thing a try a long time ago. It was VERY rough, but I felt it had alot of potential. I'm very pleased to see they kept working on it. I think I'll check it out in the next week or two.

Most likely because the ~ key is tied to bringing down the console. When you hit that key when in the console, it makes the console go bye bye.... this makes it more difficult to admin the server when you need to deal with peaple with a ~ in the name. That's just my theory, anyway.

Hell, I remember ol' NORM kicking me a couple times for language... and I think maybe Mac and Statey may of kicked me for language at least once as well in my pre-<TAC> days. LOL Just straighten up, play cool, be active, and you'll get noticed. Just hang in there. I suggest you go to the appropriate forum and work on your unban first. Sincere Apologys usually get noticed.

Wish I had seen this sooner, I sell this stuff HDTV is sufficiant for most peaple. I personally have no problems with it. They seem to suffer alot less problems with glare than the older projection TV's, and the clarity vs your common TV is not hard to spot. But I must admit, the Hitachi LCDTV my company carries is amazingly crystal clear... you can see pictures from it and know exactly what you see from halfway out in the parkinglot! :shock:
